BTW, do you know that fresh ginger can be frozen? Lasts forever, makes grating even easier. Any leftover end pieces are delicious steeped in a nice cup of hot tea. There is a lady named HoneyJubu (her channel) who rinses her rice in a colander over a bowl, then uses the rice water on her houseplants. I started doing it. Nothing died. 😂
I just fpund your channel! These all look so delicious! Thanks! I have 7 kids ( all grown now) so i know how it is to cook for a big family. I fed my kids vegan ( most of their lives)
My daughter died from cardiac tumors. Her first symptom was her sudden death. She was 2. That was 79 days ago. The video of your dad touched me. Losing someone unexpectedly changes everything
I'm so sorry for your loss; to lose a child has to be the hardest kind of loss. I hope you have family to help you through this tragedy. Blessings to you and your family. ❤
I made the Tuscan Orzo Casserole with some liberties. I'm not a big fan of cooked olives so I subbed some pickled red and yellow peppers I had in the fridge. I also didn't have any fresh spinach, so I used a 12 ounce bag of frozen chopped spinach. The casserole has a great flavor and I was surprised to learn it tasted a lot like Thanksgiving dressing. I'm thinking I could use these same basics, adding celery and green bell pepper with the onion, using a bag of dried seasoned bread (like for dressing) and maybe adding diced apple instead of spinach to create a tasty holiday dressing. Great recipe! Thanks for sharing!
I really love your content! So crazy I never thought about keeping frozen broccoli on hand to roast it. From watching one of your videos I thought to try it game changer! Whenever I used to buy fresh broccoli it would go bad before I could use it all. Roasting frozen broccoli is delicious.
I only recently tried the freezing the tofu first.. what a huge difference! and all I have to do is throw the tufo in the freezer in the package it comes in and then thaw.. i wouldn't really call it a step and it makes it so much better for those who enjoy a nice plate of gnocchi for that chewy feel, it's a must =)
I agree with the fact that tofu is something you have to get use to. In the beggining I made it 3 times and had to toss it, couldn't make myself to eat it, hated it. Until I stumbled upon a recipe for sticky tofu, and that won me over, so I started experimenting more. Now I eat it all the time and love it, it is such a versatile product
That orange sauce looks delish! I am making it for my 4 year old grandson this weekend and maybe can sneak in some tofu for him instead of chicken. Thx!
🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 my homemade fish sauce is mayo/thousand island dressing/relish. I haven’t made vegan thousand island but I know there’s a recipe for it. Love your recipes! Thank you.
TOFU BUD for the win!!! Here's my secret (if you want a more "meaty" texture). 1. Press the tofu on setting 1 for at least 60 minutes. Then drain the water 2. Press the tofu on setting 2 for at least 30 minutes. Then drain the water 3. Place the tofu in a prep container with a paper towel bottom. 3a. I'd recommend changing the paper towel every 12-18 hours 4. Let the tofu sit in the fridge for 48-86 hours. The longer it's in the fridge the more it dries out. This is a good thing. 5. Once you take it out and cut it up it seems to soak up any marinade better because it's so dry AND it seems to have a much better "meaty" texture because it's dry. I'm telling you. You're going to love it. - Aaron and Claire
You have the Best plant based recipes and these all look yummy as well. The haystacks look like something we will try next. Every recipe of yours has been a hit here with hubby and me (we’re in our 70s). We make your Caesar dressing regularly and it’s become a staple here. Your recipes work perfect for a small family of 2 as well as a large one. I bought your cookbook and recommend to anyone who is interested in this way of eating. Blessings, Linda

🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 I agree. I freeze my ginger and use the micro grater from frozen. It grates so much easier than fresh.
This is such a good idea!
@@deedeemac I need to try that!!
@deedeemac Thanks for sharing! What a great idea/tip!

If you tear up your tofu the orange sauce sticks better and it’s faster.
That’s how I do it, too. I think I learned that from Yeung Man Cooking.
Brilliant!

You bet! It's nice to have them all together next time you have a package of tofu and aren't sure what to do with it!
🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 for my egg scramble I use silken tofu. It has more of an ‘egg’ texture. Love it! It’s one of my go-to’s.
Oh cool! I'll have to try it!

My mother taught me how to make Fry Sauce when I was a kid so my dad would eat broccoli. I never knew the name!
That's amazing. And it is so good with broccoli!!
I'm addicted to this alfredo sauce - I'm using it all day long & sharing it with others. This is a great video!

Those are some great looking Tofu dishes.

Isn't it such a great air fryer!?
Yea

Wait, are you in the Charlotte area? I spotted that HT logo on the paprika ☺️
Question: tofu how long does it last in the refrigerator if not opened
So not all recipes require the tofu to be drained. Am I understanding this correctly? Thanks.❤
Rice to water ratio is 1 cup Rice has less than 1 1/2 cups of water? 😱. Here i am putting 3 cups of water to 1 cup of rice 😂😂😂. Great video btw ❤😍
In the instant pot I always due 1 more cup of water than cups of rice. 3 cups of rice-use 4 cups of water etc.
