PUT SOME NEW TIRES AND CHAIN SLIDES ON THE OLD GIRL AND TOOK HER OUT FOR SOME FUN! TURNED OFF CAMERA MID RIDE AND FORGOT TO TURN BACK ON, SO ONLY GOT A FEW MIN OF RIDING ON CAMERA... MY BAD
I had a 1982 yz125 j my dad got it fir me when I was 13. It was bored 30 over had Boysen racing reeds and bunch of other stuff got it in 1985 for 300 bucks thr engine wasn't on the bike we git it running and I managed to stay alive for 2 yrs until I blew the engine it was a beast for a 13 yr old
I had the 82 250, my first 250cc MX bike. Bought it used in 84 for $850. Started racing with it. Bought a new YZ250 in 86 and sold it. I told the guy the crank was pretty used up and would blow,---but, he didn't change it. That bike ran well.
Sounds pretty good. Looks to have gobs of power. Try pulling the handlebars back (old school), and I think you will find it easier to drop into corners. The trick with big bore corning is to use low rpm's for less flywheel inertia, that can make it hard to lean the bike over. Should have plenty of grunt.
@@EarthSurferUSA I actually was just warming the bike up during this video. I had stopped to check the camera and forgot to turn the camera back on for the rest of the ride. Lol
Yep you got to be a badass to ride that YZ pinned! Badass!

"Old Skool" huh. Is that how "New Skool" spells School?
Maybe "Old School" had it right? :)
That bike cost I believe about $1,800.00, and a kid could afford one. Maybe Old School had it right? :)
Neighbour's do not like this thing.
