Well it's not really that the swatch is bad, it's just it doesn't match literally anything else. That's the problem when they start using these colorful "fun" swatches. They can't even keep wood tones the same.. but want to add more colorful swatches.. I LOVE the sims and love building, but when it comes to furnishing I can't stand it because wood tones are always different.. or I find like this desk that looks great, but literally nothing matches it so I can't use it.

Eventide yeah i get that. it probably comes down to personal taste because all the simers i watch have either said they love them or hate them. i personally like some of the swatches but i agree that they need to make more matching wood tones

as someone with a very high level of anxiety, i always notice a lot of speech patterns and behaviors in kayla's videos that i do all the time as well. it breaks my heart that she is going through the same kind of paranoid thought processes that i do :'( anxiety is such a terrible thing. i hope she knows how much her videos comfort people. whenever i am really stressed i put a random video of hers on and it makes me feel so much better
I have horrible social anxiety and I do the same thing with thought process. My thought process normally is perfectly fine and healthy.. but when it comes to being social with people I don't know, I become completely paranoid I'll say the wrong thing, they''ll think something about me, etc.. meanwhile though my personality doesn't care about those things. Like I really don't care what you think about me, but my anxiety suddenly comes in like "YES YOU DO -dies-".. which honestly makes it worse because my personality is one way and my anxiety is the other so I'm in a constant internal struggle. Even around people I'm comfortable with anxiety still occasionally will be like "They're going to think I'm weird and leave me!"

With anxiety you kinda have a battery that once it's out you really shut down.. and if you don't take that time off to recharge it gets *really* bad. I understand it very well. With having to get her wisdom teeth out, and all the stupid horror stories about that, it kinda just came to a boiling point. So she'll be taking the next week or so off.

That's what makes me hate the swatches usually.. the fact I actually like them and want to use them but literally nothing else matches it. The same happens with wood tones. I'll find beautiful things I want to use for a room but nothing matches it so I can't use it..

Hot take: I actually love the strangerville windows. I just hate that every single door is a medium height. WHY? Also, they could so easily have made the small door have an archway version by removing the door. The metal fence works PERFECTLY for a city house where it dips down to the unit underneath. I freaking LOVE the satellite dish and I use it everywhere. There are just bits and pieces of the pack that I use a lot.
Did you know that they added in the saucer light already sized down so it’s small and the amount of light is the same!

Honestly I’m loving the colorful swatches. Sims has had wacky swatches from the beginning, and I could use more of it. But I do wish that they had some sort of organization with wood and color swatches, some kind of color bible to keep things consistent across packs and invite more cross-pack use.
I feel ya on the wood tones, but when I think of every grandma I've ever known -- their houses are like collected and don't match. So it makes it authentic, ya know?

Sims 4 gave me anxiety against the sims games, even though I have played the sims for 18 years. Each time I have the urge to play, I ask myself which game should I play, and I can't make up my mind. I get nervous playing the sims 4 since Eco Lifestyle, now that I have to pay my bills in time until someone steals my sink from the bathroom.

But shes handling the problems she got pretty well, at least that's how it seems to be.
Just being able to talk about it, taking a break when she needs to, explaining people why she has to, this is such a huge personal accomplishment many of us are struggling with. Shes helping people she doesn't even know by just being herself.
She's just incredible and i hope she gets well soon.
Because many of us, or at least a few, are very thankful and appreciate her for being just herself, for helping us with problems no one knows we got.

It's hard to constantly be in the spotlight with something you used to using as a free-time hobby. It's difficult. We care about your mental health more than we care about how often we see you on Twitch, CZcams or even Twitter.
Take breaks, take them often, take care of yourself.

I am a huge fan of the pink, lavender, and mint swatches. I can’t wait to use them once I get the pack! I think they can add some nice variance with wood tone or white centric builds.

I love a lot of the swatches on the new items. My builds are always very colorful. I doubt I'm ever going to have a sim knit much though. I knit a lot myself, usually while playing the sims. You know just get all the sims set on tasks and just knit while they master the fishing skill or logic.
personally i REALLY love the pastel swatches, i think the game has been lacking that for a long time because i like to experiment with different build styles and when i try to build something pastel, it's usually very hard. those grey and dark red swatches though? would have been better with one or two good wood tones. thanks for coming to my ted talk

When I first saw the swatches I just went "yikes" out loud lmao. They're pretty, but not versatile. Like you won't use these things unless you build something specific, a certain style or for a specific sim. It's such a pity cause the items look really nice. They gave us black and white swatches, but honestly who only has black and white furniture in their homes? We need wood swatches too, preferably swatches that actually match the other items in the game. Gameplay wise, this is great. My sim loves the rocking chair *I had issues with the swatches for that as well* so much that she literally does everything she can just rocking.

Anxiety is a serious thing mine was so bad I thought I was having a heart attack went and got checked out by my doctor just to find out it was Anxiety. Now I'm on Anxiety medicine I didnt think it was working but the second I stopped taking it I was having heart palpations again.

I have lot of anxiety too. I started to play the sims in april when I was forced to stay home more than ever because school changed to be online, and to keep my head busy I started play. I played sims when I was a kid, so I figured it could be fun. Now I'm addicted, I was sick for over a month, so I didn't even leave appartnent, then I played like 24/7, and also then when I found you on youtube, and I learned a lot from you, lot of inspiration.
