See the Modern Luxe kit is a perfect example of what a kit should be. Niche enough where you don't miss out if you don't buy it, but still has something that makes it worth buying.
I'd like to see some kind of "winter clothing" kit. I feel we desperately need more jackets, winter coats, etc, for Sims that aren’t too crazy. I find myself using the same three, and im sick of seeing all my townies wearing the same during the cold. 😂

I’m kinda surprised she didn’t think of/mention that, considering the custom ceilings are fresh in the sims 4, but I get the excitement can cause some things to slip the mind heheh. I’m glad you brought it up though! I hope she sees this! It’d be beautiful as a ceiling and those screenshots and thumbnails would be stellar :D

I'd love for them to do a celebration with someone on a Luxe Bathroom kit and/or a Porch Kit. I need some nice fancy and luxuries bathroom items as well as more windows with screen swatches and a porch swing.
More musical instruments in general! I'd love to see a cello or even a flute! Being able to form a band and perform music together would be amazing though 😍

I feel like the modern luxe would have fit into the house she built for the sim Baby in her nightmare legacy challenge, specially with the colors :o Anyways, I LOOOVVVEE these new kits, even tho I usually get annoyed when they make so many for that price compared to the amount of stuff.. tho it seems like they're slowly adding more items in the kits

It makes sense most of her viewers will also be casual players, who don't buy many packs. (I think LilSimsie is the most popular Sims CZcamsr, unless we're considering CallMeKevin a Sims CZcamsr, but I don't think EA is comfortable with him getting that label.)
I think what makes the Modern Luxe stand out more is that the items and colors aren't incredibly sharp or harsh compared to Vintage Glamour. I noticed once you put them side by side that all the items are way more rounded or have softer edges compared to it and the color choices are just really nice to top it all off.
Finally I won't have to use Island Living as my ONLY access to good looking swimwear! Definitely a disappointment the floaties aren't its own item, but nonetheless... that swim kit had a lot more to it that I personally really enjoyed! Thank you as always for your reviews!! ❤❤
I saw it on Twitter: people who new what to look for, apparently found out that the code that makes the vanity functional was moved from Vintage Glamour to base game in the latest update, so not only you can use that vanity if you don't have Vintage Glamour, it also opens possiblities for more (official and custom) content with this functionality!
I really like that there's the repeated patterns/colours on the swimwear; it gives more scope to mix and match, gives options if you loved one pattern but wanted it in a bikini, or if your sim is a little more modest and you wanted a one piece etc- plus it gives it a feel of being like a "collection" that a brand has brought out
LOL YES same, i also almost never use Vintage Glamour beds (unless I have to cuz of its high sleep quality point) and few other stuffs due to the swatches and designs, Xureila saved us for real with this kit! 😂 her kit really looks like it's made by big cc creators i've been downloading for years we love it a ton. Meanwhile EA didn't even separate the floaties in their original kit...
Regardless how you feel about kits, Kayla's support of other simmers and genuine happiness towards their work is top tier 👌 Great review and congrats @xurelia !!🎉

i LOOOVE their choice of making most of the clothes have the same swatches because being able to mix and match them makes every outfit much more unique!

Also, you know the modders are going to separate out the floaties and make them bracelets or rings instead. And can we take a moment to celebrate the pillow. What a beautiful addition. I foresee builders adding that pillow & the frame tv to every build from here on out.
I bought the "Modern Luxe"-kit. I don't have "Vintage Gamour", and the apply make-up-function works for me. :) I really like that kit, totally worth the money.
I came here literally just to see the different nail swatches for the swim pack, and ended up being convinced I'd like both lol ~ the modern luxe one I've passed over at a glance but you really sold me on it, that stuff does look good and I had no idea there was a TV/painting thing, that's really cool!
I generally don´t support kits but honestly having MATCHING SWATCHES THROUGHOUT is something I never thought we´d see in the sims 4 so that´s kind of amazing. Also that full body outfit with the shirt over the bikini is amazing and I too wish it wasn´t a full body thing. The build kit is amaziiiiing
The new furniture kit is giving me 5 star hotel vibes. I've been to a real-life hotel on Marco Island that had that exact bed and side table with very similar glass shelves in the vanity room (short hall) between the bedroom and the bathroom, tufted chair and table lamp. I have had some passing interest in kits before, but Modern Luxe is the first one I know I'm going to buy when I get the chance. I'm sold hook like and sinker on every item and every swatch. Just beautiful.
My favorite is the build items. The record player actually spins and they now put make on when they sit at the vanity. You get choices of makeup. The items are amazing.
I love finally seeing a throw pillow, but first of all, I wish we got some in SDX for base game, and second, I would really love an option to automatically slot them to beds, chairs and sofas. Even better if there was a switch for the slotting and you could still put them next to a sofa easily if you chose to.
10/10. If I'm playing a medieval peasant dynasty or an off-grid simple living farmer family, homeschooling is a vitally important roleplay element. The popups for when I keep my kids home so I can teach them actual skills are so irritating, and they lose responsibility too!
at around 5 minutes when you were looking at that cute top paired with the swim suit, I agree i wish the top came separately, not to excited about the suit but IN LOVE with the top.
I am actually SO excited about the swimwear kit! The floatie thing is disappointing, but I wasn't gonna use it anyway, even as an accessory. But I had been hoping for more swimwear! Especially swim trunks and tops with cover-ups or shirts. This one I'm absolutely buying edit: however I am super annoyed we didnt get the cute kids swimwear without that floatie
And of course they still dont give us a normal modern looking bikini. The reason why they dont give the bikini without the tshirt and floatie is beyond me. Is it really that risque?
But they did? There are a few different normal bikini tops and bottoms. 2 or 3 each if you don’t count any of the shorts or cover up type options that you can mix and match. 5:24 for the tops 6:40 for the bottoms.

I really love that with the poolside splash kit a lot of the items you could use as everyday wear. Like the sarong kind of skirt, the male tank top, sliders, glasses and necklaces! I don't need any more swimwear for my sims but some of the items make me want to get it lol Edit: Oh and I absolutely love the rainbow nails!
I love that the swimwear can be mixed and matched. The curtains are awesome, so simple. I'd use them so much. Until the desert luxe kit came out I rarely put curtains in my builds because of trying to match them to the window. I might buy these packs at some point but I'm not in any rush
I normally don't buy the CAS kits, but i bought the Intimates because we have a lack of sleepwear and swimwear (imo) so i had been using that kit for the last few months. I initially was not sold on this set, but I did buy it earlier today and I'm glad I did! I was also really impressed with the styles and textures. I knew i was going to be buying the Luxe kit because of the record player and bed frame
They finally added the frame TV and a record player - thank God! I've been waiting forever !! Love the addition of the bed and curtains. All curtains now should be done like this!

OMG, I'm not one for modern furniture and decor, but the modern luxe kit is actually one of the best build/buy sims kits I've seen. I'm going to be using this so much, especially since it has actual usable items. Thank you, Simsie.

the build kit will be great for fancy walk in closets. i don't make them very often but i might start. maybe ill have a single sim turn a second bedroom into a glam room and be a simfluencer and film videos in there
i think im maybe gonna get the modern luxe kit just for the picture frame tv, but tbh idc that much abt the other items. like that curtain is cute but i prefer the desert luxe one, and a lot of it is too fancy for my everyday gameplay aka 100 babies or cottage living type

I love finally seeing a throw pillow, but first of all, I wish we got some in SDX for base game, and second, I would really love an option to automatically slot them to beds, chairs and sofas. Even better if there was a switch for the slotting and you could still put them next to a sofa easily if you chose to.
I want the Sims team to someday add homeschooling to the game. If they’re trying to be more inclusive, they should probably consider it
10/10. If I'm playing a medieval peasant dynasty or an off-grid simple living farmer family, homeschooling is a vitally important roleplay element. The popups for when I keep my kids home so I can teach them actual skills are so irritating, and they lose responsibility too!
@@vanguardiris3232 I don't know if you play with mods but there are mods to make childs and teens quit school so that you don't have to get the popups
I make the days I want my kids to stay home holidays in the calendar and then select day off school/work

at around 5 minutes when you were looking at that cute top paired with the swim suit, I agree i wish the top came separately, not to excited about the suit but IN LOVE with the top.

I am actually SO excited about the swimwear kit! The floatie thing is disappointing, but I wasn't gonna use it anyway, even as an accessory.
But I had been hoping for more swimwear! Especially swim trunks and tops with cover-ups or shirts. This one I'm absolutely buying

And of course they still dont give us a normal modern looking bikini. The reason why they dont give the bikini without the tshirt and floatie is beyond me. Is it really that risque?
But they did? There are a few different normal bikini tops and bottoms. 2 or 3 each if you don’t count any of the shorts or cover up type options that you can mix and match. 5:24 for the tops 6:40 for the bottoms.
i mean, there is ACTUAL lingerie in base game, i dont think its too risky…
they did! they’re not in full body outfits and maybe not the specific style you’re going for, but there’s 3 bikinis top and bottoms in the pack.

I really love that with the poolside splash kit a lot of the items you could use as everyday wear. Like the sarong kind of skirt, the male tank top, sliders, glasses and necklaces! I don't need any more swimwear for my sims but some of the items make me want to get it lol

I love that the swimwear can be mixed and matched. The curtains are awesome, so simple. I'd use them so much. Until the desert luxe kit came out I rarely put curtains in my builds because of trying to match them to the window. I might buy these packs at some point but I'm not in any rush
I normally don't buy the CAS kits, but i bought the Intimates because we have a lack of sleepwear and swimwear (imo) so i had been using that kit for the last few months. I initially was not sold on this set, but I did buy it earlier today and I'm glad I did! I was also really impressed with the styles and textures.
I knew i was going to be buying the Luxe kit because of the record player and bed frame

I really wished that the vintage record play was like a winded up one, because it could have been used for off grid... we don't really have anything to play music off grid, everything needs electricity! 😕🎶But it's still nice!!😊💕

I get where you were coming from with the Spa Day CAS and the one barging suit. The suit reminds me a lot of the Spa Day sandals- they wrap/overlap the same way
OMG, I'm not one for modern furniture and decor, but the modern luxe kit is actually one of the best build/buy sims kits I've seen. I'm going to be using this so much, especially since it has actual usable items. Thank you, Simsie.

the build kit will be great for fancy walk in closets. i don't make them very often but i might start. maybe ill have a single sim turn a second bedroom into a glam room and be a simfluencer and film videos in there
In the swim kit I noticed a couple of the swimsuits aren’t just bright white, they’re like a light cream color and I really like that
i think im maybe gonna get the modern luxe kit just for the picture frame tv, but tbh idc that much abt the other items. like that curtain is cute but i prefer the desert luxe one, and a lot of it is too fancy for my everyday gameplay aka 100 babies or cottage living type
Omg, I’m way more into this CAS kit than I usually am. I’m also more into build/buy, but this definitely fills a gap and the options are really pretty.
