    Why do you need a hydraulic press?

    I have one on my Tiger 660 Sport. I've had problems with shifting from 2nd into 3rd. It's very sporadic, and only happens a few times a ride. Triumph thinks it's me. That is getting irritating, because it's not complicated, it just locks me out of third a few times, now and then. I'm ready to call Triumph America about it. Oh, never misses a shift in any other gear. Ugh.

      My uneducated opinion is that another maintenance facility should remap it. It doesn’t sound like a actuator fault or a operator error.

      The one thing no one told me is to shift at 4000 rpm. I shifted at 3000 and the bike would kick.

    Did you have to use the clutch while traveling to the dealer or can you use the quikshifter before they code it?

    • @Mytwistedvoices
      @Mytwistedvoices  Před 7 měsíci

      Have to use the clutch like normal even with the QS installed. The dealership has to code it before it will do anything.

    Can the Blipper be used while beeing on the throttle, or is it necessary to roll off the throttle.
    Same question for upshift... Do I need to be on the throttle or is an upshift also possible without?

    • @Mytwistedvoices
      @Mytwistedvoices  Před 7 měsíci

      Shifting up is with the throttle on, best at 4000 rpm. More or less and the motorcycle jerks back and forth. I shift down with the throttle off. I have a habit of using the clutch from 2nd to 1st gear.

      @@Mytwistedvoices Thanks. I already heard that quickshifting below 4.000 is a bit jerky.. :)

      @Mytwistedvoices  Před 7 měsíci

      @@carroux4050 No one told me how to use the quick shifter. I always shift around 2500-3000 on all my bikes. Someone told me 4000 rpm on the quick shifter. He was right.

      Are u still happy with the Trident? Really considering it but not sure if I should pay a little bit more (about 2-3K) for the Streetripple R...which has more power and QS as a standard + more tech features...

      @@carroux4050 I can ride 8-10 hours on a Trident with only fuel stops. It is 3in1 oil. Check out my video one day in Tennessee. It does the city, highway, twisters as well as a quick ride to the grocery store. (I have a Tiger 800 to go cross country with). I have ridden a speed triple, it is a track bike. After a couple hours I have to stop ridding just not a great posture. Part of the triple are very expensive, look up a brake pedal.

    Do you know how to adjust the shift pedal?

    • @Mytwistedvoices
      @Mytwistedvoices  Před 10 měsíci

      I haven’t done that. But you break loose the jam nut with a 10mm wrench. Twist the head of the shaft to the length to want. Re connect to the shift pedal. Use the 10mm to tighten the jam nut. Just a thought. I haven’t tried this.

    The correct kit number for your VIN is A9770427? For me, AF3900 < AG0881

      To be honest I called the dealership. They told me what I needed based on my VIN. This was installed 2 days before it was loaded up and shipped to Tennessee. This is a good catch. Sorry for the mistake. I followed the dealership on one end and the paper work on the other. The other question is that when my bike was in for service (before the map tubing recall) they told me that they had a couple of updates to add to the bike. They never told me what it was.
