- The Aiguille du Midi is a 3842m peak in the Mont Blanc massif of the French Alps. This is the closest you can get to the summit of Mont-Blanc without trekking or climbing. The Aiguille du Midi is the highest mountain peak served by an aerial lift system and holds the world record for the highest vertical ascent of 2807m.
Join us as we experience the spectacular views of the French, Swiss, and Italian Alps from Aiguille du Midi's panoramic viewing platform. We were so grateful that it was a clear day, perfect for us to view and appreciate the peak of Mont Blanc, Glacier des Bossons, and the beautiful village of Chamonix.

Thank you for sharing, great videos, really informative and fun, we are visiting Annecy and Chamonix next week and will definitely do this 🙂
That trip is fantastic. I took my warm stuff but all the same when I got to the top it was FREEZING. It took my breath away. The views!!!! Such a wonderful memory. 👏👏
Prelepo mesto.. Obožavam ovakva mesta pogotovo planine a i vožnju Gondolom... ako niste obišli Zlatibor planinu i Taru preporuka u svakom smislu ima divna mesta tamo za turiste a duplo jeftinije se prodje.. .🙋♀️💗
Thanks for sharing!
Super cool!
Great video guys; thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm going to travel to Annecy and Chamonix next June. Thank you for the good video and tourist information.😮😊🎉
Hope you enjoy it!
@@ThisDINKYLife Please introduce more good videos in the future.😄
Beautiful......
Thanks for watching!
Awesome
I've taken this visit yesterday. If you do not mind being jammed packed into a cable car like sardines you will love the ride up to the top - and again back down. My only complaint: the extreme excessive overcrowding! 🤥
Great video, I like the comparisons I was debating whether to visit Shilthorn or Mont Blanc
Thank you!
Great video. Subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
Hope visiting this charming place one day.....
I hope so too!
great video loved it am new in your chanel..how much both ways ride in cable car..and can you buy the ticket there or do u have to book it online in advance..
Awesome video thank you☺️ Which time of year did you guys go? How was the climate, was it very cold? Would you suggest bringing gloves/hats/scarf and a padded coat for a trip in late October? When you mentioned Switzerland did you mean the Junfraujoch? I’m torn also between the two, would you say I should go for this as a day trip instead of Junfraujoch from Geneva? ☺️
did you go? i am planing to go in 2 days...was it too cold ??
@@Samotnjak12 no unfortunately I couldn’t, I may still go this month though, if so i’ll let you know how it was ☺️
can you play with the snow though, i was really wondering it
Did Melissa say that the sign said no phones or cameras at the top? Thanks!
beautiful video.. we visited May 2022.. would love to return and take more videos. subscribed.
will be going here in feb 2024. should we buy tickets online b4 we go and will that beat the queues.
I have skied almost all over the Alps and there is not a place that beats Chamonix in terms of challenging lines and mountain faces. Chamonix has Europes steepest skiing and Europes highest mountain range. It is also the European capital of mountaineering and roughly a 100 people come to die here every year when trying to live their high altitude dream. Of course Chamonix is also second to none in Europe in terms of impressive mountain scenery.
We can't wait to return to Chamonix in the winter to ski!
Excellent ..... very nice and informative video, thanks for this.
Do you know if we can go Aiguille du Midi with 2 yr old baby? And what could be the minimum time of a round trip?
Yes, you can! Plan for an hour up there.
The visit is forbidden for children under 3-years-old,And not recommended for children under 5-years-old.
What time of the year was this taken? Thinking of going late June
We went in September.
How much it costs to ride the cable car?
Did you have to reserve tickets or did you just walk up and buy them?
We bought them online in advance, but when we went, it was the shoulder season, so it wasn't busy and we saw people buying them on the spot.
Hi what was the actual temperature at top of Aguille Du MIDI?
Probably around 50 degrees F or 7 degrees C?
@@ThisDINKYLife We'll be in Chamonix July 2-4...I guess we'll need to pack a little jack for us and the kids(12-13) for when we go to the top only...correct? Good job on your videos...found you guys today.
@@ElysianProduction yes you will need a jacket :) Enjoy your time there!
I’m here in chamonix right now and did this today
Curious, did you buy your ticket in advance or the day of? We’ll be there in February and I’m not sure if it’s better to get tickets beforehand or not. I’m used to the overcrowding in National Parks and how you have to plan and buy everything months in advance. Thanks!
@@Hastyp3anut It depends, we booked 4 days prior as they were selling out quickly, if you’re going in a time with high demand and you know the weather will be adequate on that day I would book in advance. You should also check the website and weather constantly from up to a week before just to verify if there are tickets left and that the weather is holding up. Hope this helps, have a great trip!
@@xen2653 Thank you!! This helps a lot. I’ll be sure to book in advance or at the very least, keep an eye out on ticket availability as we get closer to our trip. The planner in me wants to just pick a date and buy tickets so we have them, but the risk taker in me wants to wait until we get closer to make sure we get a clear day for better visibility! Thanks again, we’re really excited for our trip!
Do you two know the best bus company to take from Geneva to Chamonix? I'm going in July.
Swiss Bus Tours - I'm going in a few weeks.
We came in today by blah bla bus
Eggweeeeeeee, shamonixxxxxxxxxxxx
I can hardly breathe up there…..
Needle of 12 noon : Aiguille du midi !
Wow, makes sense now!
What month was this?
September
@@ThisDINKYLife Thank you! We are going in September and were hoping there was snow. May I also ask what type of camera you used for this? Was it a phone, GoPro, or something else?
@@ScottShillet we use a Sony A7III
Mont blanc right pronounciation is just don t pronounce the c Mont blan !
Thank you :)
Your wife looked unhappy the whole time, also we could see the mountains and you should not use ur finger all the time, so either we have to see ur face or ur finger😢😢
You have to realize this is all about the mountains ⛰️ not you, ur wife or ur finger but unfortunately that’s all we get, the only good thing about it was short video 😂
This is not about you either. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't comment and move along.
Chamonix mont blanc is a much better value, and more beautiful than the ski resorts in Switzerland. You can even go under the mountain to travel to Coeumayeur in Italy
does anyone know if late november is a good time to go??
There will be a lot of snow, I imagine. So go if you are into winter sports?
if i see all kinds of stuff on video, does it make sense to actually go places to see them? i would get it if we were in the 1700s and someone would describe amazing places to me but....now, i know. i have seen it. do you know what i mean? does it make any sense for you? and do not tell me about feelings and shit.
There are some places that photos and videos just can't do it justice. :)
