So very true! I was 6 years old when this song was made.He was about 16 or 17. I still remember my parents playing the vinyl records and this song was included in their music library. Wow! I'm 63 years old today and I can say that this song still brings a tear to my eyes every time I hear it because I was blessed with a man who loved me like that...he's gone to Heaven now but the memory of how I felt every time I was in his presence will never leave me! WHen I opened this song up at the intro and Stevie blowing harp, tears filled my eyes and I said, "God Yes!" This song is from my early childhood when I would run down the block in the summer months and the Sun was shining down on me and my friends. But you know? The Sun was not all that was shining. Brilliant. Just brilliant, an outstanding classic by Stevie Wonder and that bassline by James Jamerson was just fantastic. When this came out, Stevie Wonder was just 17. A true musical genius, a God given talent, a special, special talent.
Just a beautiful well put together song. This was during a time when you had to have actual singing skills and the know how in playing instruments. They didn’t care about how you looked, if you were gang affiliated, sold or used drugs. The record labels back then signed you only if you had raw talent. Much respect to Stevie Wonder who never disappoints when it comes to music/songs he creates.

Then I was shipped out to an office on the Czech border. Only light pop music, like Roy Black and Heintje (Du sollst nicht weinen).
