    Very nice and informative video. I'm getting ready to tackle my Big Bear wheel bearings. You're funny, entertaining, and fun to watch. Thanks for the great video.

    Theres usually dust and crap in the degrease fluid as well. Use clean gasoline as a degreaser.

    Excellent video as always, and a great inexpensive diy tool. I use an SKF bearing driver kit at my workplace, it's great because the rings fit exactly into the bearing, and there's a tube that'll 'eat' the axle so you'll always get even pressure when hitting with the hammer, and won't end up with the sideways problem you had.
    The only downside of course, is the crazy price tag, although I'm sure you can find a similar offbrand set for a fraction of the price.

      Always love to read your comments! Thanks and I'll be sure to keep an eye out on a bearing driver. 👍

    Excellent video. I am surprised how dry those bearings were. I’ll definitely be greasing my bearings when I do the one on my 92 Big Bear.

      Honestly, I use a cotter pin that fit snuggly. If it's too small, it can back off and loosen

      Hi the rear breaks and I also have a moto 4 225 and there is a loud ticking coming from I believe is the top of the engine. Thanks again just trying to keep the two young lads up and running!

    • @thehonestmechanic
      @thehonestmechanic  Před rokem +1

      I am currently making a playlist on a Moto 4 and I think that the ticking noise could be the valves. I set the valve clearance in this video: czcams.com/video/2SXaP_GxKR8/video.html As for the rear breaks, I'll have to do some digging but i think it might be the first or second video of my Big Bear Restoration series. Hope this helps and thanks for your support!!

    Not sure if you shop on fortnine but their customer service and return policy is excellent. Not sure if they would have those break shoes or not.

      Thanks for your support! The OEM part number is 93306-00612. You should be able to cross reference it to a good aftermarket if you want. I have added this to the description box.

    • @thehonestmechanic
