I’m a Bostonian but I live in Joliet where my wife is from. We met when I was In the military. Our wedding was In September of 2015 so we came out to Chelsea dagger..I tried sneaking my bruins in, but we didn’t even make the playoffs. Go bruins go hawks
People in Chicago probably have little idea how weird this is to people in England, where this is one of the biggest rock singles ever… but in 2006. It’s still a radio mainstay there, so for it to pop up and be used as a legendary US sports anthem must seem weird, indeed. Plus, it’s very, very British.
This was nuts! The only other time when a major stadium has gone nuts for a Stanley Cup champion, was the old Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, back when the Pens won in 1992. (In 1991, they were a park in Downtown Pittsburgh, they were playing Rock and Roll Part 2!)
At work in Texas I had this song on the speaker and this man said he was from Chicago and how this was their song an I had to look it up omg. This looks like so much fun!!! I’ll never forget heh
@ David Poudrier "Legend has it that not one of those fans had heard of the team before 2005." Guess what? Nobody cares! They're fans of the Blackhawks NOW, and that's all that matters. Well, that and three Stanley Cups in six seasons.
Wonderduck1 lol actually that does matter because that makes the fan base look like pure shit. Ur probably just another bandwagon that can only talk about 3 in 6
@David Poudrier: "Ur probably just another bandwagon that can only talk about 3 in 6" Oh, David, David, David... from your comment, it's pretty clear you weren't alive yet when I saw my first game at the Stadium. I was a fan of the team when they were still the Black Hawks. You DID know that the Blackhawks were originally the Black Hawks, right? I distinctly remember listening to Lloyd Pettit call Hawks games on WMAQ. You DO know who Lloyd Pettit was, right? I saw my first game before we cheered the National Anthem. I saw Makita play. He was slowing down, but still a player to be reckoned with. You DO know who Stan Makita was, right? But then, you've got a Bruins player as your avatar, so you probably don't know any of these things... you just think you're cute when you talk about bandwagoners becoming fans of the team. I mean, I know the Bruins don't have that so-called problem, what with only winning the cup once since the early '70s, but us more enlightened fans know that having MORE hockey fans is a good thing, not a bad one. So you go complain some more about "bandwagon" and crepe like that. Us in Chicago, we've got something more important to aim for.
Wonderduck1 lmao u just referred to zdeno chara as an avatar u dumb fuck. And the Bruins have barely had that problem, they have sold out every game since 2002 despite missing the playoffs the last 2 years. On the other hand hawks players were standing on the streets outside the uc handing out free tickets to try and get people to go to games and the funny part is it still didn't work. The Chicago Blackhawks have the most bandwagon fans in the world and almost all have no knowledge of hockey. They can't even pronounce toews right
Wonderduck1 lmao and it's funny how u brought up the most irrelevant facts about the name of ur team, the commentator and one player to try and make urself not look like a bandwagon
I live 30 miles southwest of the city and I could still hear it
It's just an exaggeration
good

Izicle you guys are gonna get a cup soon. St. Louis will have a championship within 3 seasons or less.
Jeff Schatz nah man, the blues are trash.
We’ll be doing the same thing with Gloria in a couple weeks
Jeff Schatz that’s kinda ironic now that we’re not the Stanley cup final 2-2 series tied
Godlikelobster01 Who won Sir Stanley this year? ;)

Is this the closest Soldier Field gets to a champion, given how the Bears have been going?
Joshua Normand hey buddy how ya feel now about the Bears?
@unknown justin LMAO.
Justin Baker still the same tbh
Doink.
The infamous double doink!
That's typically what it looks like when Da Bears get a win at soldier field rare things do deserve celebrations
The Bears winning is not so rare this year

I'm not a Blackhawks fan but this is pretty amazing
i live an hour away and it was soooo loud also i was there my dad told me he could here it
I avoided that crowd that year. I was in Evanston at Barnes and Noble and watched the rally.
At work in Texas I had this song on the speaker and this man said he was from Chicago and how this was their song an I had to look it up omg. This looks like so much fun!!! I’ll never forget heh
I remember walking in the streets b4 the parade, and then being there was an AMAZING experience
Holy shit i love this.
It’s a bears town. If and when they win the super bowl it’ll be the largest gathering in human history. Bigger than the cubs rally.
I’m a blues fan but dang this song is good
Memories...
i can't hear the song with all of the rackit!
Mary Hong same 😒
I know this is old but I LOVE THAT SEA OF RED GO HAWKS

Americans really like us, but we despise them lol
Eat your heart out, Donald Trump.
You WISH you could pull in a crowd like this.
There’s like 70-80k people and you can barely hear it lol. Go watch celtic fans sing it.
You call that a chant? I could fall asleep in that stadium
American crowds are feckin boring with no passion

Blackhawks SUCK!
Go Habs Go !
Go Sens Go!
Go Stars Go!
Blackhawks been sucking, but they kind of weren't between 2009-2015. 3 Stanley Cups kind of prove that.
