- I explored and camped at Poenari Castle, the REAL Dracula Castle. Many people believe Bran Castle is Dracula's Castle, but there is no evidence to suggest that he ever lived there. Vlad the Impaler did restore and live in Poenari Castle, making it the REAL Dracula Castle, along with a few ghost stories. Read more: amyscrypt.com/poenari-castle-...
To celebrate Halloween, I spent the night camping at Dracula's Castle. There will be ghost stories, paranormal investigations, Halloween candy tasting, and Jarrad might just get attacked by a stray animal (LOL!). Stay Spooky!

“I’m scared of bears”
“Why?”
“Cause there’s bear signs EVERYWHERE”
There was a documentary I watched years ago where Radu Florescu, his Dad and a couple of others spent the night at Poenari Castle in the late 60's early 70's!!! Radu Florescu was along with Raymond McNally an expert on Vlad the Impaler and both collaborated on a couple of books about him!! The night spent at the castle turned out to be very creepy and scary!! One of the guides saw a mysterious light ascend to the top of the mountain to the castle where the four were and the light disappeared before it reached the four!! Then when all four were descending from Poenari Castle the following morning Radu's Dad slipped and fell nearly to his death!! He had to be hospitalized but survived!!!

Thanks, Mike! So happy to hear this! 🖤🖤🖤
Awesome work Amy😍
AmysCrypt Great videos and very interesting.I would love to explore Dracula's Castle.Just be careful! Prayers go out you.🙏
May I make a suggestion Amys Crypt. Why don't you use the Translator on Google or one of the Search Engines and have the Translator say the words in whatever language you want?
Poenari is not located in Tranylvania, but in northern Walachia.
Hi Amy! I love your work so far. I hope you enjoy your visit in my country. I'm sorry that I have to dissapoint you a little bit about one of the "legends" of Poenari. Actually, Vlad Dracula's wife didn't commit suicide, she died in childbirth(most common female cause of death in the middle ages) . The "legend" was adopted by the locals after the release of F.F.Coppola movie, Bram Stoker's Dracula in 1992, where this idea appears for the first time. The suicide of the wife is not a historical fact. I'm a history graduate, specialized in the life and reign of Prince Vlad the 3rd Dracula and I never found such an info in historical sources and documents. But. Good job and good luck in finding some Romanian ghosts!
P.S: Not all the sweets that you tried were Romanian. Only the chocolate bars were Romanian and the Rom one is actually filled with Rum(that in my language is translated as "rom"). Have a nice stay in Romania! Bye!
That is super interesting. Thank you for shedding the light on the mystery, Vlassya. We did think that chocolate had rum in it - it tasted alcoholic haha! Thanks for watching 🖤🖤🖤
@@AmysCrypt you welcome! It was my pleasure.
Vlassya D I have watched several groups that have toured your country and everyone was impressed favorably. Does your country promote tourism in an organization?
@@williamguildner7988 Sure! My country is always present at international tourism fairs and conventions, establishing connections with different agencies all around the world. So you should check at your local tourism agency if they organize trips to Romania for singles or for groups. Or you can find here tour agencies that organize group trips to various attractions from around here.
Vlassya D what’s her full name
Dogs can help you feel and know the direction when there’s any spirit around. Black dogs know the best, smell and can see thing that we don’t see. Love your Videos Army!
Thanks Rakpong. I also heard these dogs alert the locals to the bears, too. Cheers 🖤🖤🖤
Did you just walk straight out of middle ages? :D
We were there in October 2019. The castle was closed to the public due to the high number of bears in the area (one of the biggest dissapointments of my life!). At least we got to see two bears in the wild, which was rather amazing. What really got to me was how eerily quiet the forrest is. The entire Trănsfăgărăşăn is unmatched in its beauty and spookiness.
Yeah we probably shouldn't have slept there with the bears, lol. But yes it would have been disappointing to get there only for it to be closed. I was disappointed with how long they gave us up there (no more than 10 minutes).🖤
@@AmysCrypt Wonder if they would have freaked out if you and Jared started using a Ouji Board in the middle of the castle.
Yes i slept up there in August, 2006.
It was incredible.
Bless you.
@@AmysCryptyes what I did in August, 2006 when told we couldn't sleep up there by the travel guide at the bottom of the steps. (There is was no gate entrance either back in 2006).
Was slip the guide about £20 pounds in Romanian money, and he just pretended he hadn't seen us.
Yes I remember August being cubbing season for Bears and Wolves if I remember correctly..
So we were told to
"Stick to the steps and stay out of the woods on the mountainside and you'll be ok."
I had a nice wash in the river below the castle in the morning to when we walked back down the mountain, packed up our things, cleaned up, and put out the fire.
Half hour later we met the Poenari castle historian around the side of the mountain, in the village where he lived.
My Transylvanian friend Laszlo from Clug Napolka, Northern Transylvania interpreted the dude's Romanian into English for me, as I bombarded him with question's about Vlad Dracula and His Castle.
Thanks.
Bless you girl.
Your voice and overall disposition bring me happiness. You can speak on the most tragic of horrors & I sit captivated as if you're speaking on rainbows & unicorns ♡
THANK YOU!!!!! About 90% of people that do ghost hunting videos do it at Bran Castle saying it is Vlads castle when it isn't. It's a place he was held prisoner at for a period of time (based on historic documents), but it wasn't his, Poenari is/was his castle. This past Halloween there were about 2-3 videos of people going to Bran Castle and calling it "Exploring Draculas Castle". It drove me nuts!
Hi Josey!!! Me, too. haha! I find it so weird that they are able to market it as "Dracula's Castle". It has gotta be some sort of false advertising for sure. I did make a video on Bran, too. Unfortunately, this castle is not as grand, is quite ruined and not as easily accessible, so I guess it would make for a poor tourist attraction. 🖤🖤🖤
@@AmysCrypt I think it is false advertising. Bran Castle wasn't opened to the public until 2009, after the government transferred the owner ship to Archduke Dominic, and his sisters. Once they got control of the castle is when it started really being hyped up as "Draculas Castle" even though Dracula isn't connected to it at all, outside of the belief he might of been held prisoner at Bran which isn't confirmed and probably won't ever be confirmed. The only official true connection would be when Vlad passed through Bran Gorge which is like saying you have a connection to the house down the street because you drive by it all the time. The Archduke fought to obtain ownership of the castle, and not long after it was finally given did he turn it around and open it to the public with the sudden "Draculas castle!" tagline.
Personally I think the ruins of the his real castle are amazing, and I am jealous that you got to see them. One of these days I will get there. And I've seen the other videos, I did a sort of binge last night. Was my first time running by your channel, and I am extremely glad I did, because you make some great videos!
How do you make a CZcams video and not do all of the research? I mean I know she did but other people just don’t… That blows my mind, unless people just don’t care if their viewers can point out lies.😂😂😂😂😂😂
You know I give this girl a lot of credit and respect her for going into some haunted places and spooky ones too
Awww, thank you! 🖤
Guys be very cautious eating sweets in the wild especially if you've been warned about bears because bears has a great sense of smelling like it could sniff even if you're 100yards away from it.
Thanks for the tip Geo 🖤🖤🖤
Those dogs are so cute 😂
Haha I know! I love dogs!! 🖤🖤🖤
The dogs prob follow u as they may be street dogs and they may want food n thinks you have some!

*Love how 3 beautiful dogs came up to you guys & followed you two!!! Sooo cute!!!!* 🤗😍😄🐶🐶🐶😀😃
I know, they were so cute. I think there was more than 3 haha. One of them bit Jarrad's ankle lol 🖤🖤🖤
Before you asked the spirit how did it died it seemed to me that i heard a "complicat" which actually means complicated in romanian. Also please be careful if you re going to places marked as a teritory of wild bears, more so if you re planning to camp. It was kind of foolish, really, you were lucky that nothing happened to you. A couple of weeks earlier a tourist was attacked.
Anyway, i liked the video, i never got the chance to visit them and i m a romanian.
Visit us again! You should see our witches. It would be a great idea for a video!

Hi am Craig dunphy I am really interested in Dracula’s story I love the videoing of the Dracula tour in Transylvania I loved every minute of the experience of Dracula coming alive in Dracula’s castle I think that the story of Dracula is a journey through time all the way to the Victorian times in modern day century in Europe where the legend of Dracula all began all the way to modern day English heritage I am wounding if I could come and see the location where the Dracula’s story is actually a reality to live in I think it is a great experience for other fans to come to see the beauty of where the story of Dracula has been reborn so I am wondering if it is possible to move forward into Dracula’s castle because I am interested in the story behind all the legends of vampires and the legends of Dracula I would love to have the chance to be apart of the hole story way from the beginning right up to the legendary journeys of Dracula’s connection with the North Yorkshire castle in Europe in London and Whitby Abbey I have dreams All about Dracula s connection all the way back to 1983 the year of my birth that is why I am asking for me to move forward into Dracula’s castle to get in touch with the connections of Dracula I would love to experience the future of Dracula’s story through out my life into the deepest souls of the supernatural reality of the Dracula’s story in my every day life in a new generation of how to reconnect with Dracula living his life inside my heart to live in me forever

It was a lot of stairs!!!! 🖤🖤🖤
All these super awesome places, you’re living your dream & that’s so awesome! So cool you let us be part of it. Thanks so much! I’ve heard there are so many poor stray dogs in Romania, living on the streets. Makes me sad.
Yeah, but I hope it doesn't paint a bad picture of Romania, though. To be honest, I have come across stray animals like that in nearly every country I have visited (even Western countries). These particular dogs seemed well fed and for the most part were having fun playing around the open greens and river so didn't seem so bad. But it is hard to see, especially those that are not well looked after. Thanks so much for watching. 🖤🖤🖤
AmysCrypt I love the Romanian landscapes, & I once worked for a Romanian guy, he told me a lot about the country, & also showed me a video he took inside Bran castle. I have always dreamt about going there. Also I don’t really believe in these ghost boxes, but I did have goosebumps when the words You are a bitch came through. Holy shit! Like I could imagine an angry spirit saying something like that, ofc no offense to you, don’t get me wrong! But that was spooky! You are REALLY brave sleeping there in the wild, I probably wouldn’t be able to close an eye! Be careful with these bears! Great video.
Haha yeah I didn't hear it at the time. I always hear it after the fact (maybe I was trying too hard to listen for Romanian).

Thanks, Alisha! Great to hear other investigators like my content. Scotland- so awesome! 🖤🖤🖤
On a different note, I hope you threw all those candy wrappers at least a 100 yards from your campsite, considering there were bear sightings in the area.
On the spooky note, attempting to speak directly to Vlad Tepes...audacious!
Try playing your previous tapes in reverse, sometimes (in theory), spirits talk in reverse tongue.
Ahh good tips about the wrappers. I hadn't thought about playing the audio backwards. Thank you 🖤🖤🖤
Those dogs are the vampire's guards. Jarred could be a vampire if he now takes a vampire's blood too. :)

Did you guys visit Brasov (city which Dracula visited multiple times) and Rasnov? They are located near Bran and both historical. Where you are now you can visit Curtea de Arges, it has a beautiful big church. Other Dracula location is Sighisoara where he lived when he was little.
Thanks so much for the suggestions. I did visit both Brasov, Curtea de Arges and Sighisoara. Should have videos on Sighisoara soon.

You were happy that you meet the dogs. This year the Poenari citadel was not accessible because some wild bears were around the hill. Yesterday was annouced on radio that local authorities have placed electric fences around in order for citadel to be accessible for tourists again.
Aw no that’s too bad. There were bear signs when we were there too 🖤

I hope you like this one. 🖤🖤🖤
Romania is referred as the "Land Of The Vampires" so I whole heartedly believe that the Poenari Castle or Dracula's Castle is the the most haunted castle in all of Romania as it is the official residence of Count Dracula so the castle should be visited during day. No one should visit during night because the Count can attack them viciously. Very Spooky.😱☠👻
The locals don't really like it when tourists associate them with vampires. Also there's accord to Dracula scholars there's no evidence that Stoker knew anything about Poenari Citadel, yet alone Vlad The Impaler.
Amazing video...amazing place with lots of story and hauntings… :)

Hello Miss Amy. I know this video is 4 years old, but I've been doing some reading on Vlad Tepes. This video seems interesting, a bit different than what I normally watch lol. After all the things that I've read and studied I truly think Vlad Tepes had a lot of propaganda spread about him starting from the 15th century. No doubt he lived in a very brutal and grim time in Europe. In spite of all that, he did everything possible to keep his country independent and had to fight enemies from all directions, even internal enemies. He fought with everything he had, and for this I have to admire the man. If his soul is truly there somewhere, restless, I hope he finds peace one day.
Enjoyed the video....keep them coming!!!👍👍👍

That must have been a very cool explore. I would love to see something like that in real life. Nice video Amy.
Thanks Karen. This was certainly a cool place to visit. The only thing I would say I was disappointed with was the amount of time the operators allow you to spend inside the castle. It took about 30 minutes to climb the stairs to the top, and then we were only allowed to spend around 10 minutes inside before we were ushered to leave. Other than that, though, loved the history, the view and the beauty of the surrounding valley. Thanks for the comment 🖤🖤🖤

You should make a career of this, your narrative and presentation are superior to all I have seen in this paranormal genre. I learned that the people in Vlad's Kingdom believed his was a great King he stopped the invasion of the Ottoman Empire and was considered for awhile "A Defender of the Faith" among the Catholics in his country, however as time went by he became mad and tyrannical. Uh oh.

Thanks Marie. I can hardly wait either. I had so much fun filming this one at Draculas Castle. 🖤🖤🖤
Wow, what an awesome video! I like how the castle is so far-removed. I wonder if the Bears are drawn to the hostile or friendly spirits? Some people have opinions that animals are sensitive to that kind of thing. I suppose it would depend on the dog. I remember reading about the nobility that he gave the option of helping him build up his castle. Did he ever get to finish the job a little more, so he could at least drag a bed up the stairs, and put in his bedroom?
So, his wife committed suicide, rather than face the terrors of the Ottomans? The same thing used to happen when the Medes and Persians would attack a town. Some would even sacrifice babies to Moloch. The "good old days" were pretty bad then, I'd say. I love this channel, and the places you visit. Thanks!
Thank you so much for watching! I've heard that animals can be quite sensitive to spirits. That is interesting thought you had about them! Yes, terrible times back then. We are so lucky to live in the time we do! Though, I do love learning of that type of dark history. Thank you for watching! Glad to hear you enjoy coming along with me on these adventures! 🖤🖤🖤
