In Ratlam Vyas Dal batti and Bhaphala is very famous, So you should visit that Vyas s Dal Bhaphala shop. I have worked in Ratlam during 1980--1983. At that time Opium cultivation was there in so many villages like Palsoda, Banjali, Namli,Bangrod, Sejawatha, Sailana etc etc.
Very nice blog...enjoying every episode..and looking forward to the next ones... 2 minor corrections in this video... the kachoris are made of corn and moong dal..the red dotted ones are made of corn.. and the Jain samosa is made of raw bananas and not the ripe bananas. Ratlam is a major Railway junction for Western Railway
There was no opium cultivation in Ratlam...is was in Mandsaur and Neemuch district.
In malwa region you will get a different flavour of sev in each and every city
Eating kachori by pouring oil in it is a different style you will find only Ratlam... it's oil in which it's fried..not ghee as youd said.....
groundnut oil... masala that was poured as topping was called jirawan
Please come to Indore...you will get exotic local cuisines
Could have visited cactus garden on sailana road... it's video is there on CZcams.
Garadu is not chena it's kachil.... don't share wrong information... please cross check it.
