Bacalar, México 🏝️🇲🇽 Los Rapidos, Lagoon of Seven Colours, Valladolid & Chichén Itzá

Hi, we are Ged and Kelsie 🙋🏽‍♀️ two Aussies (+ our travel companions Blaine & Elissa).
Our next stop in the Yucatan Peninsula (and our last in México 🥲) was south to Lake Bacalar - a freshwater lagoon also known as The Lagoon of Seven Colours. A day at Los Rapidos and a day on water and we were all sitting pretty (well - except Ged, poor Geddy was pretty sick).
From Bacalar, we drove north to Valladolid - which was equally as beautiful in its own right. We used Valladolid as a base to visit Chichén Itzá, a surrounding Cenote and explore the town.

Glad you got to experience Chichén Itzá. I got to climb the stairs to the top in 2006, shortly before doing so was banned. That cenote water must have felt great after a hot day at the ruins.🤽

Wow! That would have been an experience. Cenotes are the best!
