Works well with Conjure Abilities. Hikari also has access to several good elemental Learned Skills that can benefit from this.
Damage Hikari Build (Armsmaster)

Support Skills: Boost-Start, A Step Ahead, Deal More Damage, (any support skill of choice)
Weapons: All Armsmaster weapon
Gear: Any 3 pieces of armor
Accessories: Alpione's Amulet, Finisher Claws
Deals a lot of damage at 1HP with Alpione's Amulet. You can switch the Armsmaster Class out for any other class that has a high Damage Dealing Skill.
Boost From Beyond Build

Support Skills: Hang Tough, BP in Adversity, A Step Ahead, Deal More Damage
Weapons: Your Strongest Weapons
Gear: Any 3 pieces of armor
Accessories: Alpione's Amulet, Finisher Claws
Boost From Beyond gives your entire party 2BP, you then live on 1HP because of Hang Tough. Since you are near death, you now get 2 extra BP on Hikari due to BP in Adversity. From there, you can use your team to nuke the fight, or have a cleric cast the cleric divine on Hikari, to let him act again.
Latent Power Build:
Full Power, Boost Start, A Step Ahead, Deal More Damage
Equip your strongest weapon, and just spam your Latent power every fight. - Hry

Really enjoyed the elemental damage build, as I hadn’t seen it before.
Hikari can hold three fire boosting weapons as a Dancer and can learn a skill called Firebird Dance that gives an elemental attack boost and a fire rune. The Dancer class' Dagger Dance should hit everything and proct the rune as well. That could be another take on the elemental build.
I shall call this the Shishio Makoto build. Nonstop Blazing Soul Slashes

Interesting. Might we get some information on fang of ferocity vs finishers claws? You'd think some of these might get more from fang of ferocity unless you prep ahead of time with an inventor (mostly Agnea with her latent power) using critical scope to guarantee the crit (or maybe the spear and/or shield of strength giving guaranteed crits?)

Wow I cleared the game 100% and didnt think of hang tough + boost from beyond 🎉 I’ll try this if I happen to replay the game.
Do note that u can leave Hikari into 1 HP just by losing on a duel. Its the simplest way to do without boost from beyond or even forbidden drink 🤷♂️
I dunno why you would boast that learned skill too much when u can start it very early in a battle ( Making Hang Tough almost a waste ) 😅
Honestly I prefer cassti to do the BP regen rather than Hikari

would accessories/shields that prevent instant death work instead of hang tough to free up a support skills slot?
Just want to add if you’re looking to one-shot duels with Hikari, you can’t use Boost From Beyond when there’s no teammates to give BP to, in this case you’re much better off already being at 1HP and switch “BP in Adversity” to “Boost Start” so you can Boost x4 on the next turn.

U don’t need boost from beyond or any of that stuff to leave Hikari into 1 HP. Theres a judge in timberain that can help u just for that. Just lose on a duel, and he survive with 1 hp

Can you make a build without alpiones amulet. Is there any other build that can deal 99999 damage without the help of that amulet
What are your thoughts on using a Hikari Blessing in Disguise build with mostly Lost Tribe’s weapons apart from maybe Serpent Slayer (Sword) and Giant’s Club (Staff)? I understand pretty much any character can have something like this but Hikari’s probably the only character that can make up for the lack of Armsmaster skills with his own powerful Learned Skills.
When a weapon is equipped, that is when those equipment boosts occur, just having Blessings in disguise + Lost tribe weapons do not give you those equip boosts automatically. For example, Lost Tribe Dagger + Blessings in disguise boosts speed significantly, but that if you equip the lost sword or use a sword move, you will only get the sword's defense boost.
@@drahcir7x23 while this is true, some side effects on the Lost Tribe weapons are pretty good while also still giving you those added effects. If you can remember which stats get increased and equip the weapon accordingly, you can take advantage of a speed boost on the next turn as well as potentially blinding, confusing or sleeping foes. Then you’d also get to take advantage of the Cursed Shield, Helm and Armor which have the highest defense in the game as well as then giving you the positive effects such as higher speed, higher evasion and more SP. Idk it seems like a fun build idea lol
@@jay.c2097 Cursed Armor, Shield & Helm are why you would equip Blessings in disguise. For a damage dealer build, you would need Alpione's Amulet or Fang of Ferocity + Finisher's Claw, as these accessories bolster damage more than flat stat boosts. So wasting an Accessory Slot on Blessing in Disguise is not ideal. Maybe a Blessings in disguise build would be great for Throne or Ochette, who can take more of a Support Role with Flat Status Boosts.
Hikari is the best pshy dps on all octopath by huge margin..
Not mentioning the warmaster / armsmaster..
What skill are you using to give Hakari that 1 hp/ 9999 total hp ?, is that an amulet or support skill?, and how do you obtain it ?
skilled is calles boosting from beyond, it gives every party member 1 bp in exchange for killing user. Now the merchant skilk hang tough lets you survive
how is your hikari have 800 phy atttack and 900 elem atk?
my level 93 hikari only have 300 & 200.
Probably a combination of the weapon and the nuts
stupid question: how do you get passive skill from other class ?
Just unlock each class for the same character and then re-select the class you want for him. To unlock each class you will need a lot of JP but just farm them gradually.

then use makeshift weapons, no secondary job, no learned skills. have fun
