  • Golf coach and PGA professional Georgia Ball, who goes by @georgiagolfcoach on social media, was recording a video of herself at the driving range when she was given unsolicited advice.
The clip has since gone viral, with the uncomfortable encounter highlighting just how important it is to mind your own business.
Georgia, who has 173,000 followers on Instagram, was recording herself working on her game and striking the ball down the range when an unseen man to her left felt the need to try and fix her swing.
Georgia calmly turned to the man after he said "excuse me", and showed incredible patience after he told her what she was doing was completely wrong.

Yea it's not just how much experience you have, it's also your approach to life, some people are constantly learning from their experiences and trying to improve all the time, but most people are egotistic and proud, and think they are already experts when they know only a little. More experience means someone has had more chances potential to grow and learn, but it means nothing if they lived like idiots.

Ok he might just have been being friendly and trying to be helpful but the other way is that it was basically harassment. An uncomfortable watch indeed but the vast majority of golfers are level headed and peaceful sorts of people. Do we describe someone like that as a male range pest? Years ago i was on the range hitting 5 draw shots, 5 fades then 5 straight ones with my 4 iron when the guy in the bay next to me was constantly giving me unwanted advice, saying my grip was wrong, i was taking it back wrong, i shouldn't be using blades and my alignment was off which was why my shots were going different directions. I said they went exactly where i wanted as I'm working on shaping the ball, he then said but you'll struggle to break 80 with blades and a swing like that though.( It is quite ugly but it works)That's when my friend pulled some score cards out my bag and said here's his last 3 rounds. (70/ 68/ 68) -2 to -4. But thanks for the advice...He didn't say a word after that, but proceeded to hook his driver 200 yrds. We couldn't help but laugh.

Ironically I started playing again last year after a 35 year break. After initially topping and shanking a few it all started coming back to me. Obviously when I last played there was no such thing as trackman.
They have it at my local range and I've found it very useful and helpful in getting my game back together.
However one day I was hitting 5irons off the mat trying to hit draws. And whilst I was hitting a few a lot were going straight with the occasional hook.
(I'm a natural fader) The chap in the next bay says.
How long have you been playing. "So I said about 6 months So he said" Is that all your hitting them ok but you need to learn to hit them straight.
So I said "I'm actually working on trying to hit a draw" And he said "Thats pretty advanced if you've only been playing 6 month you didn't ought to be thinking about that, as I said you want to learn to hit them straight 1st"🤡

Jesus whats wrong with people here? I bet he had good intent and just wanted to help. Why didn't she just tell him who she was and what she was doing followed up by that? You don't think he would listen and it would convince him then? I bet he's super happy sharing his 20 years of knowledge with people especially after seeing something he - AS A COACH - thinks is wrong. Imagine that in the gym, seeing somebody doing something dangerously wrong and you don't help prevent an upcoming accidental injury because that is the same mindset you all have in the comments here. Bet you would be so proud of yourselves then for not giving that "unsolicited advice". People need to practice socialing outside the net more. He should have asked first if he could give advice instead of just giving it but she could've responded way smarter.
"Hi there I'm a professional PGA player, I know what I'm doing, just practicing a swing change, but thanks for the kind thought"
Takes 5 seconds and would disarm the conversation straight away.
