I like the technical principles of this design,it's like the opposite of a a drag car that has next to no steering as the torque effect lifts the front wheels, the long trailing arms at the back should provide very plush control over rutted ground due to the pivot point and distance to rear wheel ie following an arc rather than straight up and down, should be stabilized well when jumping, like an arrow being front heavy,I also like the linear shocks but can see why it was ditched as spring compression would have no progressive ramp up and blow through the travel. Amazing design + if it ever evolved into 4wd I think everyone would be racing it! :)

For the record, there are those of us who really enjoy these types of videos. I chalk episodes like this up to "shop talk," and when working with so many models and parts and motors and accessories, shop talk is a nice way to expand the knowledge base on such a wide variety of parts. Not every video needs to be exciting. If you are here on this video, you probably want to know more about the ORB racing buggy, and you've done an admirable job of just that. Me and my mates took a look at this in the 80’s. it started off because one of my racing mates seemed to go quicker backwards than he did forwards! Saying that, he was both a bit crap and drove a Striker !!!!!! 4WD were out of our price range at the time, so our idea to butcher a Tamiya Hotshot never got off the ground.

its quite interesting, my only issue with FWD off-road buggies is the lack of rear bias. I had a Kyosho Maxxum many years ago, & it was a great on power buggy but the way some tracks were setup, it made it a challenge, with on & off power cornering, especially when that buggy came out, high torque servos didn’t exist, regardless, FWD buggies are quirky fun.
