I had a ford ranger when it first came out, my first kit was the fomula 2 Ralt Hart. Loved them

I always wanted one of these when they came out in the 70's, then rough rider and sand scorcher arrived with the enclosed battery box and sealed motor, then the ford ranger came out with the same chassis as the rough rider/sand scorcher. My local model shop didn't have a xr311, but did have the new ford ranger, so that's what I bought. Might be in my attic, or may of got rid of it.

Hi Rob, I am very late to the party judging by how long ago your video was made. I normally build and fly RC aircraft, never been interested in RC cars. Now I have a grandson I took a closer look at RC cars and made the decision to buy a Hyper Go 16208. It is absolutely great fun. My prospective son in law then gave me a Tamiya Baja Champ to refurbish. It is a little beyond me to get up and running and having costed the new parts it required, probably not worth it anyway. Hence I started looking at other Taimya kits and came across your channel. The Plasma Edge was the car that interested me. Your video is absolutely brilliant. It’s definitely made me put this kit on my shopping list, knowing that I can reference the video if I ever get stuck with the building. Great tips and advice in the comments section too. Thanks you have have given a 65 year old man child some inspiration and interest.

My friend, love your videos I love the tamiya cars. Growing up in the 80's I had to have a frog but my parents couldn't afford it I then obsessed about a hornet which unfortunately I never got. I had to settle for a Jet Hopper which still was a nor bad car. I am 49 years old & a bit over a year ago I went crazy on buying tamiya cars I bought a frog, super evante, hotshot a super hotshot & hotshot 2 even another tamiya car I have forgotten now. My friend my Mum got Pancreas Cancer July last year & passed away October didn't even make 3 months. Being so sad I sold all 10 kits kept 2 but someone that felt sorry for me built them. Good grief do I know where you’re coming from Glenn. I regularly buy parts I need or want and the occasional kit, but I’ve not built or run a car in for ever. Been in a (presumably bereavement fuelled) slump for a while and take no interest in any of the things I used to love doing. It’s most peculiar to be in such an odd sort of a rut, where you take no pleasure from anything in life any more. Can’t realistically see an end to it either. I trust your hand is healing well and hope that your slump is only a temporary one. All the best Chief😎👍🏻

I built this same car and went a bit overboard. I put bearing throughout the car including a tiny one for the steering. Not a single bearing in my car. It was my favorite build. I preordered this car when it was first announced. It’s a beautiful car. Also put a light in the back to simulate the real car. The body shell was very complex and I shudder to think what it would feel like if I hit something lol. I have only driven the car one time and very gingerly at that.

Great video, nice to see it out and about getting used rather than just built and stuck on a shelf. I'll have to try and find the video with the big bore shocks on now. I'd love to get one but it's hard to justify the cost for a buggy to run around my garden, beautiful thing though, I'll have to start saving a bit of money and make my mind up if I want something to race or run around the garden

I finally like the fact i have three or four o2h, one in my new built legends ive aquired with somegrwn up cash, the egress 89 model, shrinked too!!!!!!!!!!!! lucky find for 1500 dollars. Now it has the tamiya adspec radiosystem with the 100'amps' cpr unit. Ad the nicest o2h motors of my four motor bunch inspected with flaslight. The worst one jus needes to be cleaned out properly. The best one has copper tone to the comm still. I only have 1 extra trf tuned, for my motor-testing(motor testing car, the egress black)next is a poor looking trf tuned wil service it if i feel its needed. Then its acto power super touring, and the dyna run needed somthing newfor people to buy a better ttf tuned nib, thatg and the dynatech 02h, i'll check now. for it to have a chance. to show itself shine. i have it in my fav car the evolution 92 also like 'the egress', just becuse it feels good in the hand.the dyna run has a shorter anchor/rotor, and a small fan instead......................=) love new and even more nib good old motors, and speed controllers in any collor, some can say hello, but nothing brushless here.

Hello was just wanting your opinion on what a vintage original clodbuster in box from 1990 is worth its not sealed but complete and never built ive had it for30 years.

I have machined and custom made and matched so many parts on mine! I'm using Losi drag car motor and trans! So many hours of labor and piles of scrap and failures or learning curves=$$$$$!
