I'm no expert, but I had this on CD as a kid, and I still find myself comparing every other violin's tone and violinist's interpretation against this.

if you like this piece, you should try listening to Midori's interpretation :). I find hers...I guess less emotional than this version, but she plays it so much style in fast passages with such precision and accurary. The speed is also unreal. Go check it!
