As a violinist who has performed many times with pianists, it seems to me that the pianists do not respond to the interpretation of the violinist and often overpower the interpretation of the soloist. This performance is an example. Here the pianist overpowers Marley's very good performance at various places. Of course, it could be the recording but in live performances I have had students overpowered many times.

Thank you! Actually this was one time I didn’t feel nervous haha! But regardless of talent or skill everyone gets nervous sometimes especially in competition!

I am neither one but I have noticed that too. The soloist should have had her own mike but I don’t think this was a professional recording.
