I have always watched Sandeep since the day he embarked on Carnatic music and what I like most is his great dedication and commitment to learn, practice and perform brilliantly and these candid interviews with Sudha just reconfirmed my impression on him...Well done
Because, Almost peapal understand English...
Like the way Sandeep Narayan answers all the questions. So sober and seems down to earth.. God keep him blessed.
Young people like SandeepNarayan give relief that our music is in good hands for the future...
I have been a fan of Sudha Ragunathan for many years, but after listening to Sandeep Narayan , Rajini Shankar and Sounds of Isha, Mahashivarati, I have become a fan of Sandeep. I enjoyed the conversations very much, including my dad's favourite singers voices. 👍👏👏
Thank you very much Sudha Raghunathan and Sandeep Narayanan for a very informative session of your learning days, and appreciating the inimitable styles of stalwarts of the earlier era.
Oh my! What a fulfilling session! If I may say,it was like Netru Indru NaaLai. ...kal aaj aur kal.....doyens of yester years....One from the present and one from gen next!!!
Wow! What Brilliant Artistes. They r outstanding with lot of Sadhane behind them. God Blessed Souls
How did I miss this conversation? It's one of the best! Thank you, Madrasana
Wonderful session.I am at a loss to express my joy.Await many more like this.Thank you very much.
Thanks to both musicians for giving us Such a wonderful treat.
I heard these voices only in radio and got mesmerised. Now people with so much of knowledge could speak, I get nostalgic. The best part of any concert I love is the raga and probably these stalwarts could have sown the seed
Thank you. Don't forget to watch the second episode which is also released.
Wonderful conversation, learnt so much about music and learnt so much about how wonderful you both are
Awesome Episode. Thoroughly enjoyed !
Semmangudi was given more time. GNB also should have been given that space.
These senior VidwAns enjoying the music of their seniors is really interesting to note.
Excellent ... best episode
Beautiful, so much to take away, home with, thank you both
Hats off Sudha and Sandeep . It was a great conversation and the way you analysed the style of Semmangudi Mama and my all time favourite GN Sir . Keep going and look forward to hear more about them before you move on with other greats.
I am very much glade to see yours with this interview........ji.dvd
What a wonderful dialogue and how immersive
THANKS TO SUDHAJI. GOOD INTERVIEW
Thanks for presenting.
It's very astonishing how Sudhaji learnt music without notations. Too Good. With notations itself one struggles to learn
Yes. Even brindha muktha amma do not give notations. Like penance they used to teach by karna parambarai method. Sudha guru is MLV.... But i have often heard about karna parambarai method followed in Brindha amma Muktha amma school
this was fantastic. thank you so much madrasana official !
GOOD INTERVIEW LOVE SANDEEP TALK THANK U
Very interesting conversation, educative to students of music, thumbs-up
Very innovative and creative format for interaction between seasoned exponents of the art form. Felt like being a fly on the wall listening to them discuss legends of yesteryears.
Glad you liked it. That is exactly what we want to achieve. Please don't forget to help us get better reach by sharing this with your friends.
Wonderful. Enjoyed throughly.
Wonderful experience althrough. Lovely time with you both 💗
Awesome,thank you.
Just bliss bliss
A wonderful musical chat. The contrast of Semmangudi/gnb Kalyani is well brought out. Infact both participating artists seem to enjoy the ocean of Kalyani.
Such a wonderful episode! MadRasana deserves more subscribers!
Thank you so much. Please do spread the word around.
Great concept. Enjoyed a lot ...
Nor did I realise that an hour had passed...😃 kudos team💓
People who can understand Semangudi have a deep sense of music in them. Semangudi Mama is a Music dictionary!
Undoubtedly
Wonderful discussion.
Hi this has been the best episode
Dont mind again another episode !!! Tq padma mohan
Second episode will be out soon.
Wowwwwww.super anna.
Guru kadaksham paripoornam to both artists🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
WOW... Well done MadRasna.. this is absolutely one of the best I have seen. Two seasoned artists and the fun element they added is wonderful. Kalyani... explained like never before. Would love to see Abhishek Raghuram in conversation, if possible.
Thank you so much. Sure we will have him sometime.
Very nicely done conversation. Kudos.
I happen to stumble upon this while looking casually for a concert . These guys speak so well as much they sung in a concert. Each time I fwded I had to come back to hear them again. Good something like a "vartha jugaldandi" or thaniyavarthanam...Good more of it with others If possible...
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed. Do catch the other videos in our channel too. You may find them interesting.
Namaste sudha romba nandri enakku piditha sandeep narayanan sandippu dinmum sandeep pattu kettudan thoonguven unakkum sandeepkum andal blessings kannamma 🙏👍💐💐👌❤️
Nice presentation 👍👌💪🙏
The moment I heard the name Radhe... no not anymore here. I wasn’t aware until then.
Super convocation
Well done Madrasana! You brought together two natural conversationalists. There was depth and camaraderie. Sudha was graciously giving Sandeep a lot of space. They were so involved in the discussion bringing out all the salient points. High on technical quotient too. Enjoyed every bit of it.
Thank you so much.
Very informative
Super interesting and fun talk! Thouroughly enjoyed it. Especially the conversation around learning manodharma by notating alapana in swaram form and then converting it to akaram. When I learnt violin, it was something my guru insisted as well. Listening to LGJ or MSG or TNK mama following verbatim the main artiste, it always fascinated me how they made this conversion in a split second. I see the logic finally, now! Thanks for the wonderful chat. Hoping to listen to some instrumental musicians soon on the forum.
Thank you so much. We will try and do an instrumental musician as well soon.
MADrasana great title, exemplary interview, Sudha wonderful initiative, Sandeep deeps sandithadhu interesting
Wonderful
This is wonderful. Please do more such videos. :)
Thank you. Sure we will.
Analysis and discussion on Kalyani was excellent. Sanjay is singing a brilliant Kalyani right now in Sankara tv for Arun Excello's Utsav. What a confidence...
Lol! I love Carnatic, am trying to increase my knowledge to become a Rasika, but I had absolutely no idea when they are talking about after the Semmangudi Intro.. "Straight from Raga to Shadjam.."?? would be great to include examples with same raga where the singer was Not clear (yet would sound good to untrained ear). However really enjojoyed watching you Sudha ji and Sandip ji discuss nuances
Interesting conversations.. I think in the GNB recording, I think the violinist was LGJ, and he beautifully follows the master... phrase by phrase... also in those days, I would say they sang putting all the expectations on God..something like Naan ippadi than paaduven.. mathada bhagavan paarthupar... maybe that belief brought out the divinity in their songs..
What an amazing episode. Purely delightful. How you built your conversation around raga and development is something to be preserved for the posterior. Beautiful lecture demonstration using the great masters, Semmangudi Sir and GNB Sir
🙌🙌🙌👌👌👌👍👍👍💞💞💕❤great chat
Very nice. Could you pl upload the full tape of Semmangudi mama's & GNB's kalyani.
excellent
Very interesting Sandeep Iam one of your big fans. Sudhaji you always steal the show though this is your own.
🎉🎉 Ñamaste S.D.N sir 🎉❤ tq R ji namaste🎉🎉
Namaste guru sakshal Parabrahmma
I love kalyani mam
Best of all the episodes .a complete balance of all the elements. Very very interesting
Thanks so much. Glad you liked it. Please don't forget to share with your friends.
Please mam a live with sadhguru
Wonderful discussion indeed...hats off to you both to have pulled it off...I can understand how a student of a particular guru speaks about his guru, his bani etc. But when you talk about 72 melakarthas...mentioning only one or two names and avoiding the legendery BMK sir, even when discussing about unique style ...avoiding his name....seemed like avoiding rather than anything else...any ways...it is upto you both...but still an open approach of mentioning the artists whom you or your gurus may not like to mention would have made this programme more beautiful...
Please do one programme with Sudha and Sanjay Subrahmanyan.
sudha and sandeep born to sing
How come no mention of Dr M Balamuralikrishna. Very surprising 🤔
At 24:30 sudha said people stayed all through the concert for more than 3 hours. It was possible because life was not complicated and had less distractions then. Yesteryears entertainment industry had less to offer other than cinema and music. Science and Technology wasn't in wide spread use then. As science and technology improved the thought process changed and acquiring skills has changed the societal behavior were changed so it's no wonder people had a great attention span because of their circumstances.
Can we have the list of song mentioned in between
🤟🏽
I always thought Chembai was No1 and the no 2 spot was between Aryakudi, Semmangudi and GNB :) but I am not even a Rasika..
It's Mad-Rasana,.. right ?
Is it madrasana or U S rasana?
Morning....ji..deepu........madam..

Hi! Thanks for uploading such an informative video. However, why are all these conversations in English when the majority of the audience can speak and understand Tamil wherever they are located?
It's a choice we made. You maybe surprised how many folks in different countries listen to our channel and our videos. We get constant messages from them. So to make our music accessible to those who are new to language and music is not a bad choice in our mind.
Very informative and nice programme! Both interacted very well! But many previous generation people who were direct rasikas to past masters may like to hear the conversation in tamil!
@@ambikashankar1928 what you say is correct
Yes u are correct
Being settled in Tamilnadu why don't you talk in Tamil both of you kno tamil it will be nice
Can understand your point of view, however, many second generation Indians and some foreigners who love carnatic music and the artists benefit if spoken in English. We South Indians are versatile people, proficient in few languages.
But their Experiences cannot be understood by the other regional language speakers , like there are people from North India who loves carnatic music
All Divine things need to be shared. Music knows no language Sir and these musicians are speaking this language as a tool which will have better reach. Gratitude to them🙏
You don't want other language speakers to understand is it
Being settled in Tamilnadu, why don’t you eat only rice?
