Although the swim got shortened, glad the race was not canceled. Rain or shine, it got done. Pro-tip: if you need a shot of adrenaline before a race, try putting your wetsuit on backward and not realize it until moments before hitting the water.
(John) hey man, I appreciate you acknowledging that. When I tried my first IM (Arizona), it was a huge bummer having all the gear and not being able to wear it. Sold or threw out most of it. For this year’s Placid, I’m not sure why IM sent me the hat way in advance but I’ll bring it with me on race day with hopes to wear it at the finish line! Thanks again and appreciate your support!

How long it took you to finish?
I finished right under 7 hours. That's with a shortened swim, looking forward to to Gulf Coast and technically completing an entire swim there.
Respect for not wearing the shirts/stuff since you didn’t “earn” for lake placid.
