Great Video mate. You should jump on the carb train. I cycle at a high level and worked with my coach to find the best fueling strategy. Might be beneficial to you too, since I'm 6'7 and 86kg. It's a combination of maltodextrin & fructose, basically what goes into Maurten and SIS beta fuel. I have 130g an hour per bottle for race like scenarios and slightly less for less intensive sessions. It's worth searching up if you plan to do more events like this as it makes the whole process a lot easier and it's much easier to measure exactly how much you're having. Very cheap to do too

Congrats aplenty to you, your mate and, indeed, all finishers. What made the bike route hardest, the plethora of hills or the high wind on the day? I stood in my City gear, atop the rise from out of Hawkshaw, just prior to the right-turn to Edgworth, cheering you on from first man at about 8am to last at approx 4pm, and I loved every minute of it. Just hope I did my tiny bit to give you a boost and to encourage you all on. And, btw, at 8:22 you are just passing the back of my local boozer in Tottington, The Olde Dungeon. You can see how old it is if look look at the embossed date on the wall right behind you. I'm just gutted that this is the last full IronMan that Bolton is hosting but I suppose its an excuse for a long weekend each year in Tenby.
