G59 is the record label they formed in 2014 when they first started creating music under $uicideboy$ together. The 59 is a highway that splits the city in half and grey is how they view the world. They lived in the 7th Ward district on the east side of the highway. Ruby is one of the two founders of the record label. He goes by many aliases in a vast amount of their songs like Yung Plague, Yung Snow, Oddy Nuff the $now Leopard, 7th Ward Lord ect. $crim is the other founder of $uicideboy$ and he also goes by multiple aliases such as $uicide Christ, Lil-Half-Cig, $lick $loth, Yung $carecrow Lil Half Cut, Lil wetto ect. They’re cousins as well.

$uicideboy$ have helped me in so many ways in terms of handling my depression, but the biggest thing is they let me know i was never alone in feeling the way i do. These guys are my idols, people i look up to. So talented and charismatic but also dealing with the same addiction, depression, and anxiety as i do. These 2 guys saved my life.
Last year at red rocks on Halloween I got to see them for the 1st time and $crim did a mental health awareness speech at the end of the concert, even now if I go back and watch it the raw emotion makes me cry. Life sucks and it a form of bliss to know I’m not alone.
Tom is about to be the first and only CZcamsr I subscribe to on Patreon bc of the $B videos. The first concert I ever went to had $uicideboy$ play as an opener in a small club in New Orleans in 2015 and it changed my life. I am not alone in saying G59 saved my life. Just like you mentioned, I connected with them bc they sang about the drugs/trouble/depression I was dealing with at the time, and they understood me. I also live in the same place they do so they're music really hit home. I'm so glad to see someone like Tom, the opposite of most fans, love them as much as we do

You’re 100% right I think that suicide boys don’t want to bring people down, they wanna talk about their struggle and get it out to everyone who’s felt the same. For lots of people it’s more of a comfort, it’s like releasing the bad stuff that’s already inside. And you can enjoy the music and the lyrics without guilt it doesn’t mean you promote negative things:)) amazing reactions I love your videos

I would recommend reacting to lyric videos or alternatively pulling up the lyrics whilst watching or after to further dissect their lyrics and try and find a meaning in them, ruby can arguably be hard to understand the first time around so I think it’d be an improvement. Thanks for more $B 🙌🏻

Slick, slicky, young Christ, scarecrow, etc. is one of the cousins in the band. He sings the first verse of this song. Ruby, Snow Leopard, etc. is the other cousin in the group singing the second verse. They have lots of nicknames for themselves and mention the names a lot of the time in their music.

New Orleans is famous for it's grudgy, satanic, witch, cult and ritual history which I believe is why their music is about that stuff, and also personal stuff which is included.
Suicideboys are 2 cousins, Ruby and Scrim. Ruby is the guy who usually goes 2nd in all the songs. Scrim is the one with the deep voice and ruby usually does the ridiculous rap

Grey Five Nine is a record label founded by the New Orleans rap duo $uicideboy$ and San Francisco based rapper Ramirez in 2013. As of 2021 there are 6 artists signed under the label: $uicideBoy$, Ramirez, Germ, Night Lovell, Shakewell and Chetta. the 59 means Police code 59 means Criminal Mischief.

If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it. They take a minute to address mental health and the impact. $crim talks about the fact that he had to get help to fight his addictions and that if you struggle with mental health you are not alone. The message they shared was awesome
