Hi. Could you, please, test it with the external 4k 120Hz monitor. I'm wondering will it work over the DP with 120Hz on both integrated (for office work) and dedicated graphics.
And the second request may be more complex. If you don't mind, could you install one of the modern Linux OSs (Ubunu, Manjaro, Fedora) in order to show whether all the parts of the laptop are working as expected (sound, 165 Hz inner display, wi-fi, external display, switching the power modes, etc.). I'm considering to buy it firstly for the work and only at the second for the entertainment.
Ah, and you did not say anything about the keyboard. At least in comparison with the ThinkPad's keyboards. From the perspective of work -- key travel, preciseness, multi-press (4 or 5 simultaneous pressing). Also could you shed light on the Right CTRL key (its absence).
I think I'm not the only one considering it for work. It is likely that the answers to these questions will be of interest to others and make the review more complete affecting more categories of likely users.

I will be traveling and living in different countries for the foreseeable future, but I really do not want to give up the PC experience for my work and games. I was thinking about copying your S300 build, however i have to know - do you feel like the GPU and Cooler are mounted secure enough to pack that PC into a suitcase and take it by plane, or will I have to disassemble it, and wrap the GPU individually every time I have to get on a flight? If possible I would try and get a small bag to hold it and peripherals and take it as carry on. If you do put it in suitcase it should be fine if you make sure it was all well screwed together and you pack clothes etc around the case to give it some padding. I have seen the way they treat suitcases which is why I would always go the carry on route

Exactly the video I needed and wanted. In the market for a new laptop, thinking about a MacBook M3 Pro Max with 64 gigs and 2 tb, but I just cannot justify spending that much cash. This is my next choice and I want to upgrade to 96 and 4 or 8 tb, so thank you,

Yeah, Macs are already massively expensive but when you add apples crazy upgrade prices then the total cost becomes criminal! This is one area widows machines always win and I always buy base spec and upgrade myself. Plus this legion looks and feels amazing plus has good ports and a full SD card. If you get one make sure you get the upgraded screen option as I am guess you are using this for creative work if you were considering a MacBook

@@MashITTech Correct, I work for a Dutch television quiz, which, apart from making the questions themselves, involves making videos and imagery accompanying the questions and for that I use After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere and Illustrator.
And the 16 gig 13" M1 Pro I got from work doesn't cut it, so I do most of it on my own pc, which is getting a bit long in the tooth with its 8 cpu cores. And since I freelance a bit as well, I would like a good laptop of my own. So it is either this one and an eventual upgrade to the insides of my pc, OR go ballls to the wall on an MB Pro Max and keep the pc just for fun and games and not upgrade.
But I do like tinkering and upgrading my gear myself 😉

And the thing about having a gaming laptop instead of a Mac is that guess what you can actually game on it. And the CPU gets similar benchmark scores to a M2 MAX on battery. Of course you won't get 24hour battery but you'll get 6 to 8 and in my opinion that's good enough for the power it provides.

@@joshuagarcia2868 well... gaming is not my aim with the laptop. At least hardcore fps farming, because I get that on my pc. And I do really like the ridiculous efficiency of the mac.
But the price... in the Netherlands it is even more expensive than in most other countries. The config I would like cost 5600 euros here. But of at least I have tax deduction. But the Lenovo it will probably be.

Nope, the motherboard on these rigs are designed for 64GB RAM max as per WMIC command says so (which polls the motherboard specs directly set by the OEMs)

Wait…what!!!!!!! You put in 64GB DDR and over 1TB for memory 🧐??? Lenovo told me the max was 32GB and 1TB of memory per slot; then even sent me the spec sheets. Will you have issues with your setup? Is it safe?

Perfectly safe, no increase in thermals. Lenovo only list the max they offer of 1tb and 32gb, that is not the most the laptop is capable of! they have done this for years (as do dell) and I upgrade well past there spec sheet every year with no issues which is why I make these videos 👍

@@MashITTech Perfectly safe to use 96GB RAM? I dont think so bud... 64GB RAM IS MAX IN THIS LAPTOP! You risk frying the board and RAM by going overspec by a lot, not worth it to me in the white model as its rare

I own this same laptop and the MAX RAM specification is 64GB set by Lenovo themselves on it as they made the motherboard. 96GB is NOT compatible on this board. I ran the WMIC command line that directly polls the motherboard for the RAM and its results are the following:
    "C:\Windows\System32>wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices
    MaxCapacity MemoryDevices
    67108864 2"
So when you tried out the 96GB RAM, it was way way overspec for the machine and I am surprised that your attempt did not fry the RAM chips and/or the machine in totality and is probably why it was worse than 64GB because it was not made for 96GB.
WMIC Command you need to know for more vids in the future is "wmic memphysical get MaxCapacity, MemoryDevices", this will poll the motherboard for that purpose. Please refrain from going overspec on motherboard RAM slots in the future as it is NOT worth the risk!

@@MarioLariosOfficial That I do not know, but I would suspect that 4TB may be the limit here, which is an educated guess based upon ownership of older laptops that were capped at 2TB max in 2022-2023 with 2 NVME slots
