I'll give this a try. For anyone having trouble with the measurements
5.5 oz. Fels is what I like but ivory or any pure soap will work
She's using 1 quart mason jars.
2 cups of boiling water per jar.
I/2 cup of Borax and 1/2 c. of washing soda per jar
At least that's what it looked like to me lol I use mason jars a lot.:o)

Glad I found your site again!
I had used your original way of doing it. When I had done it, I had made several batches. It is now time to make some more, but I could not locate my notes for making it.
So happy to see that you have found a way of making it easier and shorter time span.
When I make this, I usually transfer the 2 jars after whipping it into Mayonnaise or peanut butter jars. That way, I'm not using up all my malong jars, which for me are very precious in my canning. I do plan on making a large amount like I did last time, which was 12 quarts. Which did not include 4 extra quarts for giving to others who wanted to try.
Again, Thank You 😊. I have this saved so I don't lose it.

So excited -- just made this yesterday!! I'm so proud of me :) and thankful for your recipe!
But now I have three questions:
    1) I used 30 drops of essential oil but I can't smell it at all in the finished product. The most predominant smell is the Fels Naptha. Am I doing something wrong?
    2) One tablespoon -- really? That's all? Why don't I see suds? Just wondering ...
    3) I left the top off and the stuff got kind of dry, and then it took a while to dissolve in the wash water. Is that normal?
    I know, I know: I'm high maintenance :) ...

Because I was transferring my laundry sauce into used mayonnaise and peanut butter jars.

Borax and washing soda serve the same purposes: raising pH to improve solubility and softening water to remove hard water contaminants that interfere with soap. Either is fine. You don’t need both.

Have been researching for a while now the best laundry soap and if they are even good to use. Your video is so simple and looks great. I live in the UK and we do not have Borax. I was going to substitute for bicarbonate soda, as read bicarb and washing soda equivulate to a substitute but you don't advise. Now I'm at a loss.

I had to do it without the borax due to the fact I made some for a friend, and they're allergic to it. She says it works great with just the baking soda and the super washing soda. When I make it again, she asked me to try to add some OxiClean to it, so I don't know about this one.
The only thing that I can tell you is maybe make only one jar at a time an experiment and see what the results are. This is the only site where you can do that with, From what I have seen. All the others you have to cook it in a park in advance Before adding it to your jars.
Best wishes in your endeavois of making.

It doesn't look like anybody answered you, but it is the regular mouth canning jars.
I know you can use the zote. On other sites, it has been stated that you can use the Castile soap, homemade bar soap, and even any other type of bar soap of your choice. I do not know how well the others work. All I can say is make half the recipe at a time to experiment and see how it comes out. May your endeavors be blessed.
