- It's with great sadness that we've received the news of Tom's passing.
Tom and Architects have always had a special place in our hearts. They have been a part of the PitCam family since we first started out interviewing bands in crammed spaces, using nowhere near the quality equipment that we have today.
Tom was the kind of person that you just wanted to be around. He was funny, way too smart for his own good and oh so sarcastic. But more importantly, he cared about the world and everyone in it. His strong opinions on politics, social issues and animal rights made him a truly fascinating and interesting guy to talk to, and knowing that someone like that has been robbed of his life breaks our hearts.
Our thoughts go out to Tom's brothers in Architects , especially to Dan, who has lost his soulmate. Dan, we are so sorry for your loss. Our deepest condolences to you and the rest of your family.
Dear Tom, thank you for the wonderful music, the interesting conversations and the laughs.
Rest in peace - you will be remembered.

Missing Tom in 2021. I wish he could have been a part of Architect‘s rising success 🤍 #RIPTOM
He was in many ways. It was his amazing music on Lost Forever and All Our Gods that allowed architects to blow up and become the band they are today. It's sad he didn't get to see it happen but he was certainly responsible for a lot of it.
Memento Mori has such a strong meaning to me now. I do think I will keep the existence of death more in my mind now.
Thank you Tom, for sharing your talent and lyrics and music with us. You will be remembered forever in the best way possible, as a role model, as a friend I've never met.
Stay heavy where ever you are now.

Sad as this video was and incredibly touching, it's made me realize there could be a band equal to Parkway Drive (in my eyes, finally). Not only are they seriously metal, but their views are fantastic. These guys are the dream. Only wish we could have all seen them perform a few dozen times at least and that Tom could have lived a long, happy life. For the record: Fuck Cancer. Fuck it in all its forms. If you know anyone struggling with it or are struggling with it yourself, I send you love, hope, and perseverance. It won't get the best of us. We won't let it. No matter how many it takes, we'll keep fighting. We'll keep fighting for every man, woman, and child taken too early. This was fucking beautiful. Thank you to PitCam and to Architects as well as the Searle family.

I can’t even talk about cancer in person without becoming filled with absolute RAGE. It has taken so many friends and family of me. 😡
So many of their lyrics make more sense to me now, I can't listen to the new album without getting goosebumps.
Tom always stood out because of his personality, and obviously he is so talented.
The good ones always go first.
That moment when he say "Keep on rockin' ..." with that sarcastic side made me laugh so much x)
What a smart, funny and talented guy he was. He will miss for a lot of hearts.

Tom died not long before my father died good 2 years ago and now four days before Xmas my mother died of Covid 19 related consequences. Its especially tough to survive the death of both parents in such a short time. Its tough not just grieving process but to settle your parents estate then you yourself live on a different continent then your parents did. Its really tough especially if you want to do everything right and yes music is the only thing that keeps me going, of course its MetalCore, like Architects and other more spiritual oriented Metal core bands like Erra and Invent Animate etc

Thank you guys for this video. I've been watching your Architects interviews ever since I've been around 16 (I'm 24 now), and they always captured Tom's soul and persona and witty self very well. This band has been part of my life for almost a decade, and I've always looked up to Tom the most. He was an incredible, genuine, clever, funny and genius guy and there will always be a hollow space in my heart where he used to be, but always will be, too. Rest in peace, Tom.

Thank you, so fucking much for making this. This is part of the reason I have always loved this band and Tom Searle. They were always so genuine and hilarious in interviews and talked about real issues. And I just enjoy you guys making a compilation in his honor. As silly as it sounds when I was seriously depressed I used to watch these interviews and he was always making me laugh and gave me something to aspire to.
I miss you, Tom.
Thanks for uploading this. Your interviews definitely let me get to know Tom better than I ever would have otherwise. He will be sorely missed by many people.

thank you PITCAM for this. I don't know why i decided to torture myself and watch this, cuz even after 5 years, it still hurts watching Tom in all his glory. He had made such an incredible impact on the music world that no one will ever forget who was and is the heart of this band.
Now off I go to watch their old tour diaries when they were just teeny weeny boys

It's a real shame isn't it? I mean, I was never a big fan of Architects music. However, I knew that Tom was hilarious and I would often watch little videos like this just to have a little giggle. 2016 is cruel.

He was such a happy person. But even before all gods have abandoned us came out he can already tell that he was sick,he wasn't that quite happy anymore and he was losing weight in their interviews. You can just tell that he was sick
