Is the battery hot swappable?

From what I saw when I used it back in September yes. It connects with a magnetic connector. I ordered an extra one so I could for example on a long flight when I can't stay charged, I could swap it out. On it's own, it supposedly gets 2 hours max when not plugged in. The extra charger gives me 4 hours of time on a flight.
