Great job Danny. I do the same thing when tearing anything apart. Especially wiring, when setting it aside I temporarily re-install pieces so I don't forget how it goes back together. My wife of 42 years says I have O.C.D. Seems everything has a label now days. Your gonna have a a tractor thats better than brand new when finished.

Enjoyed the rebuilding of the Farmall tractor. Good job! t reminded me when I rebuilt on our farm the Allis Chambers C completely as a teenager. It was the most used tractor on the farm. The most exciting tractor project was the total tear apart and reassembly of a 24 Volt JD 100 HP tractor when attending the UW Farm Short Course Tractor Engineering Laboratory class. Almost didn't get it back together and I would have failed the class.

I have found brass nuts and stove bolts at either Lowe’s or Home Depot. It’s probably a 10-24. There’s a small section of brass fasteners. Tractor Supply might have some as well, but theirs may be in the drawer section.

Thank you so much for your wisdom and skills. I am in the process of rewiring a 1960 farmall cub using a wire harness. I know almost nothing about tractors, electronics or mechanics, but I decided over the summer to give it a try. Cleaning off more than 40 years of dirt, grime and grease has become therapeutic for me. I guess sooner or later I'll need to get down to rewiring because there's a three acre field behind our home that needs to be knocked down and then mowed. Your video just might get me through all this. I hope so. You've been an inspiration to me, so thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge.

Did you know that they do make shrink tubing with an adhesive in it? When you shrink it with heat, the adhesive makes a nice seal and keeps the insulation from pulling back, exposing the copper.

When you replaced all the grease zerks I hope you poked a small punch through the hole first to clean out the path for the grease. I am rebuilding an old disc plow right now and did the same, but literally had to hammer a small punch through to knock out the old dirty, dried grease. Nice job on the wiring, now come do it on my '85 massey, thats where I'm stuck! Ha! Waiting on bearing assembly to finish plow, like new when when I'm done, paid $200, $105 in bearing and 4 discs, prep and paint. Will work another 50 years. Take care guys.

I have never enjoyed a video more than I do yours and Ms. Wanda's. I was disappointed somewhat as I was going to use this TITLED- "Complete Rewiring of a cub" as my example, and to rewire mine as it is in same condition for the wiring as yours was. Then you and Wanda said you were not going to show every wire being redone, ONLY just a few which was great. But for all of us who are trying to master a Farmall Cub problems and getting it redone proper it would sure would have been fantastic video if you had went all the way as the title of video says and done the "Complete Re-wiring of a F-Cub Farmall Tractor. It causes me to be really hesitant in started to re-do it on mine as I do not know at all where all the rest starts and ends for the existing wires. Thanks Danny and Keep those great VIDEOS coming to us.Doug

Any of the 6v will work as long as it's not a golf cart battery. But the common 6v battery may not let the battery top bolt down. Rural king, batteries plus, TSC, Agrisupply usually always have them in stock.

Maybe cause there getting rid of it, maybe cause it needs to be sold being produced last year. Hate this want last year when I needed one...I was going to say hate I don't need one but I am kind of glad cause I'd have to spend that money even if it's half off.

Hey guys . I’m so excited I bought my first ever famall club today . And Danny I hope I can follow your videos and do some repairs on mine . One thing I’m not sure of is where did you all get your parts from . I think mine is in the 40 s according to the guy I got it from . I know the lights don’t work and most likely I will have to change my wiring. My I’d plate is in bad shape also . Glad I saw how Danny took his off . If you will let me know where you get the parts from , and by using the motor numbers and other numbers where did he go to fine the date of the tractor. Thanks Bart And my radiator looks like it’s leaking . Did you replace yours and do they have them where you getting your parts .

It is always a bad idea to tie ignition wires in a manner they are touching. They will short across sooner or later. Some will when new. If you look at a car you will see brackets that keep the wires from touching each other and metal parts of the engine. Oh that crescent wrench.
