      What does it weigh? Any issues with the battery door rattling? Looking at this as a travel bike since my Rise and other bikes I was going to buy cant remove the battery. I think I like this over the Relay too.

    made of plastic.....strike one, headset cable routing.....strike two, Sram 2 speed option motor.....strike three, having that ridiculous sram transmission ( really expensive replacement parts) ......ball just hit you in the nuts.......bike is a no go.

    When comparing the base builds you missed that the GASGAS comes with the standard GX drivetrain - not GX transmission

      Thank you for the correction! Another viewer pointed it out as well. It just completely blew over my head while checking the specs. I figured since it’s the sram motor they would put the auto shift feature on the Gasgas

    Nice review Frankie, I just wanted to point out that the Gas Gas Ecc4 does not have electronic shifting like the other three bikes, even though it is the Shram motor. The MCC5 or the ECC5 is the lowest spec. with electronic/auto shifting.

    To me the clear winner was the Nukeproof. Just bought the RS version for 7300€ (with taxes) 😁

    What size powercable for the range extended did you use? Having a hard time finding that info. 3 options in length 140mm, 185mm, or 320mm?

    Nukeproof MW is the best emtb on the market right now in my opinion followed by the transition then comes this one and gasgas last but all of them you can’t go wrong

    • @frankiesemtb

      You really can’t go wrong with these bikes.

    I have the Nukeproof Megawatt Carbon RS and it does not disappoint. Autoshift works fairly well in most cases, but if you are doing any real steep technical climb, you are better off putting on a manual mode. Of course looks is very subjective, but I think NP Megawatt Carbon looks hottest out of the four.

      That is a sick ride! Any chance you are located here in SoCal?

      @jookyuh Před 5 měsíci

      @@frankiesemtb Thanks, Frankie. I do not live in SoCal though I did spend my latter part of 20s in the Bay Area. The only thing that concerns me about owning the Megawatt Carbon is that Wiggle / Chain Reaction went into Chapter 13 and pulled out of the US right after I bought the bike.

    • @frankiesemtb

      Bummer if you were in SoCal I would love to get this bike on my owner rider review series. Anyhow I hope all goes well with the bike and we can a skip any warranty issue

    This was my second choice after the Crestline. This motor needs to prove itself in terms of reliability. The Bosch Race is a proven motor

    • @frankiesemtb
      @frankiesemtb  Před 5 měsíci

      Bosch race is a great motor! Hope I’ll be able to ride the sram motor in the future

    • @jookyuh
      @jookyuh Před 5 měsíci +2

      I don't think there is much proving to do, because it is actually exactly the same Brose motor as what is in the Specialized Turbo Levo with a tweak in the firmware to give it slightly more power. Brose motors did have some reliability issues pre 2022, but those issues have mostly been worked out and they are quite reliable. Also they are very quiet and silky smooth in power delivery.

    • @fzr1000981
      @fzr1000981 Před 5 měsíci

      @jookyuh still belt drive motor correct?

    • @jookyuh
      @jookyuh Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@fzr1000981 Yes, it is still belt driven, but that is what makes it silent. It does get louder overtime as the belt get worn. In any case, reliability and maintenance-wise, Brose is not any worse than the other motors. In terms of punchy and responsiveness, I would say that Brose is not that far behind if not equal to Bosch Performance.

    These sram motor bikes are crazy expensive and the spec is crazy garbage for how much these bikes are.

      Unfortunately the prices are high.. I think this build New should be priced at $6000 to $6500
