This ESP8266 based doorbell sends text notifications to smart TV, using ESPHome and Home Assistant.
We wanted to have a non-intrusive notification system in our movie room. A quiet notification that gently tells us what is happening, without loud alarms or blinking lights. I didn't know such thing existed so I hadn't searched for it, but there happens to be notification feature in our LG smart TV and Home Assistant can send text notifications to it. Simple ESPHome device was created to act as a doorbell that can send few different notifications to the TV.
LG Smart TV Home Assistant integration allows controlling the TV and sending notifications to it.

Very interesting project but is it possible to have a video without the giant PCBWay logo on screen all the time?

Well they are the sponsor, so what's the problem?

@@toolzshed is the video a tutorial which happens to have a sponsor who can be recognized or is it an advert with a bit of a tutorial mixed in? Sorry to criticize but as a viewer, I''m turned away by infomercials.

Thank you both for the feedback, I will keep that in mind in the future. In retrospect, I do see how that decision of keeping large logo on screen during the screen-capture section can have that effect. In my mind, I was just filling the empty space on the video, in this case filler material included sponsor's logo. Didn't think it would have a negative effect, but now I see where you are coming from.
Constructive feedback is always welcome, when delivered politely. Thanks!
