Controlling Home Assistant's IOT devices with cheap RC522 RFID Reader
I found cheap RFID module (RFID-RC522) in PCBWAY's module store while I was making my recent PCB order. I have some ideas how I would like to use one of them, all of them would benefit it being connected to Home Assistant.
This video's project is to create "smart RFID reader" with ESP8266 board and RC522 RFID-module, using ESPHome. It was easier than I thought! ESPHome is awesome platform for creating all kinds of sensors and other gadgets to be connected to Home Assistant (and possibly other such systems).
ESPHome's website, with documentation, list of supported components and platforms and much more information:

    Great video - thanks!!
Do you know if there are any "input list" for the UUID's rather than putting them in the code? For adding more keys/gards with less effort?

Thanks for the video! Exactly what I needed. Any chance you could share the YAML?
