Louis C.K. had one of the most infamous public shaming events of any comedian out there. And it's definitely changed how he interacts with the world. But he's learned how to accept what has happened and how to move forward.

store.ymhstudios.com/ - Komedie
I Saw him in a small club, with about 250 people, in Bergen, Norway. About a Year and a half after being cancelled. His first sentence was "I used to do arenas". and the roof went off.
I think the use of cancel here ignores his history of taking his dick out in front of women and masterbating for years and years. Most people go to jail for that kind of shit. He got away with it because he did it around comedians and he had power in Hollywood for a long time.
I know I would have a hard time finding work and not being a sex offender for doing what he did. Fuck that dood. His career took a dive for gross ass behavior. I hate when people use that cancel shit for sex offenders.
One thing about this interview that's fucked as well, is they make this all about CK. Not the women he masturbated in front of. It's a sob story about being held accountable but not really because he's famous and has millions.
Did anyone get hurt? How did they fix it
@@Blernster wondering the same exact thing. The timing of the roof blowing away/collapsing just as he makes his first joke is insane .

Louis C.K probably has the greatest post-nut clarity ever in human history.
This is goated
Profile name checks out
Awesome.
🤣 ayo
We're all trying our best to catch up bro
“You’re so lucky nobody knows your thing. Everyone knows my thing. Obama knows my thing.” always loved that bit.
Louie C.K just an awesome human being.
Me too lol. Obama was like “good lord”
Most people don’t have a thing that equates to jerking off in front of people. It’s a dumb rationalization. “I’m a creep. So everyone is a creep.”
He is disgusting. He’s trying to say everyone is like him and he’s wrong. What he did was sexual assault and hes trying to bring everyone into his depravity. It shows he thinks his-behavior was okay or at the very least no worse than the average person. He’s wrong! He’s trying to make a moral equivalencly. He’s the sicko not everyone else.
Could've gone a step further with the punchline after pausing... Obama probably already knew.
But I guess then it could've been political and it was wiser to avoid it.
Gotta hand it to Louis, he has changed everything about himself in the past 10 years. Except that shirt. He's been wearing that shirt for 10 years.
I think it might have been more than 10 years
I sense a lot of love in that))) from you, mate, to Louis - and from Louis to that shirt)))) I remember him coming once on Conan wearing a smart suit, maybe it's just me, but looked like he hated every bit of that experience)))
Jay Leno style
I think he has figured out most women will never grow up. They still operate with "little girl" mentalities.

"I was quite reckless with my privacy":
Understatement of the century.
"...privates, see?"
"I was letting it all out"
He also felt "exposed" womp womp
When you ask someone if you can jerk off in front of them, you never expect it to be front page news, I'm sure 😂😂😂😂 they were wreckless with his privacy

Louie single-handedly saved this man from a stroke
Ironically, having a stroke is exactly what got Louis in trouble.

At the very beginning of Sorry when he walks out and is greeted with thunderous loving applause, there's a look on his face of extreme gratitude as if to say wow, what the hell did I just go through and thank you for being there on the other side.

In the middle of listening to Tom’s new audiobook. It’s great!
I was reflecting recently on why it is that it can be so difficult to forgive yourself, and I think it has something to do with how others don't actually want you to. It's interesting how most people will say they believe forgiveness is a virtue, yet when it comes time to actually be forgiving, very few seem to be willing. It's vastly more attractive to condemn others, because that way, even if only implicitly, you're putting yourself above them. That's not to say people shouldn't be held accountable for their bad behaviour, but when you insist that they suffer for it indefinitely, you're in essence demanding a standard of people that you wouldn't even hold yourself to.
Fantastic comment
Beautifully written and though out! Thank you!
yeah .....forgiveness and accepting the consequences of your actions are two different things . Two million cases of workplace harassment a year in the US alone and many of those harrassers lose their jobs in spite of doing less than louis ck did so .........you want ALL the abusers to get their jobs back ? Has CK ever actually addressed the accusation that he (either through his management or via personal connections) got clubs to cancel gigs booked by women who complained about his "hobby"? He notably glossed over that allegation in his public apology.
What's the allegation? That he cancelled gigs that were booked by people that didn't like him? Is that such a hard/difficult thing to understand? Please explain...
@@glp.1337 No. He blacklisted women who reported/complained about him masturbating in front of them. That is at a minimum indecent exposure, in the office space it is an abuse of power.
@@heatherb4280 So you are complaining that he blacklisted people that don't like him/reported him/complained about him, to watch his shows?

He’s totally right! So sorry you had to suffer through that.
I had a nearly identical experience 12 years ago, and it almost broke me. It took years before I was able to approach the quality of life I enjoyed before my back injury. Fortunately I was able to adjust and come out stronger in the end with a newfound appreciation for how fragile life can be, but it was by far the hardest thing I've ever endured.
I'm glad to know you made it too, and I wish only the best for you going forward.
If you ever get suicidal again, you can always try meth (I wonder how "four strokes" work for women...) or heroin. Why end your life depressed, when you can at least postpone it till the money dries up? :P
On a more serious note you seem to have a passion in music, which should carry you through the dark times. Just take all that negative shit and convert it to music form. I personally play black metal, so negative stuff drives my creativity up, and once I have a riff of certain feeling it seems like it's lifted from me and is a memory in a music form. It's like exorcism, where you take the feeling out of you and put it in a riff/song.
Cheers from Poland, Sarah :)
I don’t know the extent of your back pain & what you have tried, but I had chronic back pain for years, and it is hugely debilitating, but depending on the severity of your injury, there are things you can try that will help you. I’ve gone thru PT, I’ve tried a tens unit, I have an inversion table I use every day, I get massages, and it took a doctor who was extremely knowledgeable to ask me, “Show me your daily yoga regimen”. I showed him & he said, “You’re addressing the extension, but not the flexion aspect”. I did that & I’ve not had any issues since I’ve incorporated certain exercises into my morning routine. Surgery can be invasive & make it worse. So don’t give up, is what I guess I’m saying with this long winded post 😅 There’s hope…

It's hard to listen to the difficulties of life knowing how rich they are. "Being a mom is hard" but you have a nanny. "People shamed me" so I went to this house that I have.
There is underlying jealousy implied. No matter how rich you are your mind will create problems from nothing. Your rules of survival are not the same of a rich persons version of survival.
Absolutely, very shortly after posting my comment. I thought, I'm just jealous I can't afford a nanny; and I wish I owned more of my house then the bank does. But ultimately we can only imagine ourselves in other people's shoes. I and fell like alot of people would trade shame for riches.

I think public shaming via the internet is something that's still very new and also a punishment within itself. In the past you could do something bad but not every single person in the world would know - you could make amends, be better and move on. Now especially for high profile people it's harder to do that. Not to mention the negative health effect of being shamed on that big of a scale - not that it ouweighs what the victim went through but it's still something to consider
His scandal was great for me personally- every time I walked by a plant, I always wondered if he might be behind it enjoying a passionate moment. Even if he was never there, as a fan, I felt this brought me closer to Louis C.K.
Publicly shamed for sexual misconduct is pretty valid let's be real
Yeah, it's pretty fucked up what he did. It's not like he's the victim in all this. He ruined his own career with his own actions, maybe fame made him mentally unwell but that's not an excuse for what he did, he's still gotta own the fact that he did something wrong. Treating him like a victim is fucked, he's still got a career after all this. Frankly I'd probably forgive him if he just continued to own it rather than making this about the hard time he's had from being cancelled due to his own bad actions. If I got fired for masturbating in front of my coworkers I wouldn't be looking for sympathy.
Ya know what? I literally am challenging you to explain how asking for CONSENT to masturbate in front of someone is misconduct? Rich, famous women today do the exact same thing using onlyfans, except they charge for it. Explain this double standard because he did nothing wrong.

These two obviously love Louis so they won't be hard on him, but I think it's very weak they don't consider the victim's side. I don't think it should be so hard for him to take more responsibility. He doesn't really admit that he genuinely hurt these female comics. He does seem to take accountability in his initial apology statement, which makes me think it was disingenuously written, as he doesn't voice any of that here, when he so easily could.
My thoughts exactly. At the time I thought it was a sincere and thoughtful apology, and the first step on the road to redemption. NONE of that in any of his subsequent work, statements, interviews, anything. Makes me wonder if it was just written with or just straight up _by_ some publicist or manager doing damage control

If Louis ever feels like he doesn't have a support group, he should just spend a few hours reading CZcams comments about him. From the very beginning, it's about 85% of everybody saying, "Okay, that's kind of weird, I don't care, I forgive him and who gives a shit? When is he going to start doing stand-up again?"
Louie, to heck with them, keep whipping it out, man! You have lots of fans who don't care about it. I'm one!
"You put a seed in it, and shit grows? It's a magical place." Zen from a modern monk-in-training.
Wasn't Christina calling him a piece of shit a year ago, despite the stories being the exact same back then? But now apparently she feels different and understands it.
She's kind of two-faced man
Heaven forbid someone can change their mind about something a year ago lol
I mean people can change their perspective. She should talk about how she changed her mind though - otherwise yeah it doesn't sound good
@@alecnorwood1693 heaven forbid to change your opinion on a sexual predator. For sure.
How can you shame her for feeling a certain way about a man treating women in her career path being treated the way he treated them? The fact she came full circle says something about her in a good way.
Listening to Louis interviews one might think that it's him who was the victim of numerous indecent exposure incidents and sexual harassment and not other way around.
Yeah. He may know shame, but not accountability. The acts themselves were bad enough, but the coverup and now acting as if he were the victim is pretty disappointing.
Oh yes,the trauma of seeing a man jerk off after he said "can I jerk off", and deciding to stick around while you are an adult who can walk away from things you find gross..oh the trauma. What a tragedy those poor poor poor people went through .if only they went to a rope and stool store and saved us all from the bullshit
@@bmcg4977 They werent really that bad, judgement was off but he gave the people full warning what he was about to do and they didn't fuck off.

“Look at this” *points at his armpit instead of his groin* “Lettin it all hang out”
He can't even talk about how painful it is for himself to live his life as he says not safe to talk about, at least publicly....... meaning he'll get hammered and set back any forgiveness people have of him, for thinking of himself. But we all know that he has to heal himself in order to live every day but he's just not allowed to talk about that publicly.
He's so starving to feel good that he puts his hands in dirt cause he knows nature wont judge him
I get his gardening experience is supposed to be inspiring and wonderous... but the way you worded that last phrase just made me bust out laughing.
Am I missing something here? He’s making a comeback, good for him; doesn’t matter to me. But to say I got to feel sorry for him because he got publically shamed, screw that guy. Throughout this whole video, he’s making himself the victim in this whole scenario. Claiming he was too open about different aspects of his life. Say what really happened, people found out you were jerking off in front women. He says he didn’t think about danger in the world, again placing himself as the victim. MF he was the danger in the world. He has great comedy, but it’s obvious he’s a egotistical asshole.
@@pangolinreading2099 Haha its real. Its a deep pain to be alone... where few can relate. When even the sunlight can feel like a friend, while most just walk through the sunlight without a second thought..... he even said how many walk and not see nature. I lived in that world cause of health issues... peace amigo
@@jimmypeach8838 Man that touched me, your words flow so well. I cant help but relate, hope we both and others find peace.
What on earth are you talking about? Heal himself? He victimized women. As a very powerful figure, he FORCED WOMEN IN SUBORDINATE POSITIONS TO WATCH HIM MASTURBATE. Look, I still really like the guy's work, but Jesus, he should at least own what he did.
This was really good. Thank you for having this kind of conversation. Radical acceptance is a Major Key 🔑 😊
radical acceptance of what? Being a creep who jjerks off in front of other people? get real man
Great to have Louis C.K. back. Does a great Club Random
interview as well. (Bill Maher channel).
Glad to see him on here
Love Louis
‘Everything u have been through…..’
So much for the apology, taking responsibility. Lol
These two r STILL pandering to a ‘special’ person in place of speaking to an average human being.
If this guy was their lawn care guy in place of a famous comedian they idolize, they wouldnt b so understanding.
He wasnt tore down just because he was famous. He wasnt a victim of cancel culture.
I get it, this is an illness, but he could have gotten help looooong before his fame. Sara Silverman exposed the fact that he was doing this way before his career peak.
Yeah seriously.
correct ......suprised you haven't got more abuse for pointing out those few simple truths ......
Completely agree. There is a weird vibe of them talking to him like he didn't just kinda naturally meet the consequences of his actions. I think there's an interesting and real conversation to be had here with a person who did something f*ucking dumb, and is smart enough to know it, but it just isn't happening. It's all "wow, yeah, wow..." It really cheapens his appeal.
@@GCKelloch It's a little more complicated than that. If say, your boss pulled their cock out and said "wat up" you'd be concerned for your job depending on how you react and so your ability to give natural, equal consent would be compromised. Which is why people in positions of power need to be smarter and think "yeah, I probably just shouldn't do that in the first place." Whether it's a hotel room or not is irrelevant.
Yeah. I'm not finding this redemption tour very compelling.
4:30 the way Christina says yeah after lois said burn the baby scares me a little haha
Here's another one... old age. I'm just shy of 70. Divorced, dating is a chore, and I don't even remember what sex was like. You look back to those days when you'd walk into a bar and every once in a while you'd catch someone checking you out. Now I get "Look at that old man. Is he lost?". Either that or you become invisible. Day after day it just keeps sucking until you die or can't take it anymore. Golden Years? Hardly. Laughter makes it a little more bearable. Thanks Louis.
It seems he is too ashamed to mention why he was publicly shamed.
He's mentioned it explicitly in his sets since it happened, particularly in his special Sincerely. Plus, everybody already knows. There isn't much reason for him to say, "the public shaming I received for jerking off in front of girls who said I could was rough."
I'd imagine most YMH listeners are aware of the circumstances surrounding his cancellation.
@@biganimetiddies1287 I'd imagine most YMH listeners (and the Hosts) think all allegations against CK are exaggerated and he should never have been cancelled.

Aside from being a comedian Louis CK has so many brilliant things to share
Sure, if you don't know what "brilliant" means.
You didn’t even watch the video
One of the greatest ever stand-up comedians. Thankfully he's making it back.
Maybe the best.
So never mind he is a sexual predator. Right? Anyone who seeks sexual pleasure through power or leverage in place of a balanced relationship that includes legitimate consent is a sexual predator. I get it, he is sick & deserves to have people acknowledge that its an illness, but to simply ignore this as if being an entertainer is that important is part of this celebrity worship culture. Mike Tyson the rapist gets to do the media tours as if its just a thing that happened in his past. If these guys were not famous none of u would want them as neighbors let alone speak of their actions in this benign way.
@@friedricengravy6646 Louie not rapist! Kobe, Michael Jackson, Cosby etc. are rapist. But Louie not rapist. He is just a stupid about public masturbation!
@@friedricengravy6646 it wasn't ignored. He has paid a heavy, heavy price for it. Too much probably for what he actually did. You can stay outraged as a lot of other people inevitably are. I'm glad he's back. He has been missed.
@@CasperLD Im not outraged. U r ignoring the fact that he (by his own admission) used his power & position to leverage consent. It doesnt outrage me that he did this or that u support this kind of behavior. Both are a personal choice. I do not.
