Love the sound when they all start up!! keep making the video!!
I have a multiquip sidewinder 62. I wonder how it would stack up
nice video, hows your makita 18v gear going?? and your electric hammer drills
It seems to me that for a true test, you should have the same type blades on all of the saws. I would like to see this test again done with the same type of blades.
Same blade/disc? Are solo any good? Also can you get parts like you can Stihl n husqy. K760 all day for speed n quick start. Stihl ts400 as a back up.
Love the sound!!!
curious how you felt the power of the Makita 4 Stroke was. I just got one for my concrete work. Everyone on reviews keep saying it lacks power and isn't worth the money.
great video for a working man keep up the good work
would you go with a 970 or the bigger 1260 or whatever it is, I am doing a lot of granite work on big stones that are to thick for a 14" blade
Nathan McIntosh ww
Km not in the concrete ik industry so excuse my question.
Do this blades cut through the rebar in the concrete?
It depends on operator as well how much pressure put on saw and need equal amount of water, the middle ones the most water everytime the hose made its pass from left to right.
I second that on the guy operating the Solo was timid. I knew two seconds in he would lose.
Great video and information about the saws. Interesting that you don't like Stihls at all, #1 name but not the #1 saw for you or me. Great information about the Makita and K750/760 for the different applications. BUT you used three different blades and put the slowest cutting and lowest cost blade (lower diamond concentration) on the Solo. Plus the Fury is a soft bond compared to a combo blade (medium/hard) like the All-American. Thanks for the info.
what are the blade differences ?
The 16 will always win the extra circumference gives you more cutting capacity and speed by having more Diamond
My stihl ts400 and 420 with a guardian 14 inch blades cuts those curbs faster. Weird. I thought they would have been much faster. Ive never used or seen any of those saws cut. But great educational video! Cheers from Concrete Creations of Windsor. Maybe see you at next years world of concrete!
could you respond my question which is the best blade. i already bought few of'em but it doesn't cut the way i'd like
What is a saw blade supposed t do for you? we are making a review of which blades last the longest very soon
Too much pressure on tool makes bannana cuts let weight of tool do work fonts force it trust me.
EXCELLENT VIDEO !!!
As I stated 3 years ago - given that I know these blades very well .....
Great video and information about the saws. Interesting that you don't like Stihls at all, #1 name but not the #1 saw for you or me. Great information about the Makita and K750/760 for the different applications. BUT you used three different blades and put the slowest cutting and lowest cost blade (lower diamond concentration) on the Solo - The Old Glory is a 30 Bond GP Blade. Plus the Fury is a soft bond compared to a combo blade (medium/hard) like the All-American. Thanks for the info.
A contest or comparison like this should have all factors the same. If you had put the Fury on the Solo it probably would have finished first.
Cool test. I kinda figured the larger blade would win.....more surface area to cut with. Never heard of a solo saw. Have ran wacker/husky saws the last 20+yrs. Stihl saws used to have horrible air filter systems (not sure if they have changed their design)and would eat a set of rings pretty quickly so I quit using stihl concrete saws for that reason.
100% Agree with everything you said.
And what did we learn from this? Nothing logic couldn't have told us. Bigger saw + bigger blade = cut faster.
This can't be used for comparison sake for mainly two reasons: different user = different pressure on the saw and technique; we don't know which saws were warmed up ahead of time - colder saws have less power. I'm not saying this is a terrible video by any means - thanks for taking the time to post it - I simply wanted to point out that one shouldn't draw conclusions on these saws/blades based on these results.
Make your own video then.
Oh man, that silica dust hurts me just from watching
In my opinion they didn't guide the tool the same, I saw one appear to apply force and the newest tools guide, he was chilling. He actually started his cut last and allowed the tool to do most of the work and didn't even apply much pressure.
Yeah you should let tool do cut
Guy on the solo has no clue what hes doing
He was being nice to it warming it up. Do you really think they would put a guy that has no clue on a brand new saw in a comp that is supposed to mean something. Sorry leave it to me to be a critic but I am watching the videos making sure I know what I want. Noone seems to be posting anything about the husky K1270. 112 CC saw. I owned a wacker Neuson before they stopped making saws. Hands down best saw I ever ran.
I'm a die hard Makita guy but those 970s are great saws.
Where is wacker neuson and stihl?
What a race 👌
They didn't all start at the same time. Also looks like there's just 2 different kind of blades. Those husqvarna 760 are petty good though. I've seen many sold.
The guys right about the 970 . Awesome saw but somethin is absolutely causing the motors to fail prematurely
I own Husqvarna 16" I use it for concrete slab (cuts from 2 ft long to 100ft) and is really pain to use it. Saw starts in the morning with no problem guys are working for 1h-2h and after that is impossible to start. We have to put this saw on the side and when you will come back to this saw 40 min later sometimes this saw will start sometimes we have to wait a little longer. I own Stihl 14" as well and is working all day no problem. When Husqvarna 16" is working I like this saw better than Stihl. BTW Water "system" fail on my Husqvarna after few months and saw is not even 1year old. We use same ready mix for both saws. One is working all day another half (if we are lucky). In Husqvarna service they told me nothing is wrong because saw starts and they can't help me.
NewEra might want to set the Low carb jet a bit leaner and keep air filter clean. If it's not that it's the coil, I own a tree service and husky saws suck at hot starts/hot weather. They flood most of the time but I've had coil failures as well.
Cc3 ?
No stihls?? lol
Hey what do you use for blades?
Stellar diamond consulting is my business and we have been selling blades for over 20 years. Call me and I will ask you a few questions and provide the longest lasting blades that will cut the fastest and save you the most money. 760-565-8071 or shoot me an email stellarconsultingbf@gmail.com
These are the blades in use in the test. dtiblades.com AND they are made in USA!!!
Don't listen to that guy below...saw blade salesmen are the worst liars ever!
I have not put together my final thoughts for this brand yet...but that video is coming.
Dude- Your not making self proclaimed statements on this channel. You can either put your money where your mouth is and send us some blades for review, and we will give our unbiased opinions- or your comment will be removed because your just trying to promote yourself on this channel without credibility.
I will let my blades do the talking for me. Give me an address and I will send you one free to compare to what your using now. Track the linear inch feet and you will see my blade will last longer and save you money. stellarconsultingbf@gmail.com is my email or give me a call 760-565-8071
did they ever review your blade?
This was test was balanced except the talent of the operators it clearly shows
Did anyone notice the guy on the far left was moving his saw back and forth? Will cut faster.
That's how you have to do it
This is going to be excited video
I have had the same Stihl saw for about 16 years, I wouldn't use anything else, I like the idea of bigger blades though!
cool vid but dont you have to use all the same blades for a good test
I watched this because I'm interested in getting one of these saws for sidewalk repair. I already have a SDS maximum drill. I was told most of these saws use a 32:1 mix ratio. Are they like chainsaws where they have a decompression start? 🐀🐾
50:1 i have 5 saws like these...
Should have used the same blade on each saw for a more fair comparison. Great video though.
what about Hilti
Ive done concrete and masonry 45 yrs i have 5-14" saws...Full throttle is not always faster when cutting and water will make no difference it only keeps dust down a dry cut will always be faster than a wet cut.. Your blade representative will verify what I'm saying.
since I was a kid the two machines that have given us problem are hot saws and jumping jacks. it takes a seriously well built saw to handle concrete and rebar in large scale operations. Stihl 500 m-tronic is the best saw on the market to date. The new Hilti is a close second, but it just runs to rich brand new and you better turn it down or they last about one year with moderate use. let's not talk about the old crap. Having a m-tronic is great for vapor lock and plugged air filter.
The middle ones
Wacker any good?
I love em. Been using them since about 2002ish
You have quite an assemblage of saw to cut one parking block. It looks like you've already cut up the rest of the concrete in town.
try doing this test over allowing somebody more aggressive to use the solo, the guy who used it is too passive, in addition he started last, he is watching everybody else, it's like waiting for permission.
also it would not be a Fair test if all the blades are not the same.
as we all know the quality of blades does make a difference.
Shawn kim 7
The first finisher worked his blade more also
you are right, there is no any sign or someone who give the instruction when the cutting process would be start so it is clear that the competition not fair enough.
Not that thier was any Hilti's That Huskavarna 760 cheaper and faster that's my pick
I don’t know 🤔 could be maintenance issue here. Just saying, by the looks of the equipment.
The new husqvarna k760 is the best overall..stihl is also excellent but not as strong
It's the technique that won this race tbh.
Husqvarna 970 holds a 16" blade.
While it's still the clear winner, in this test it seems to be turning a larger blade.
More cutting surface equals faster cuts.
Not a fair demonstration
More cutting surface is perhaps one part in it, but to me the largest difference is the edge speed. With a bigger blade rotating at the same RPM (don't actually know if the RPM is the same) the cutting edge will be travelling faster and will therefore remove more material.
Its all about power. The more you have the more pressure to the wheels you can apply.
Pls husqvarna 970 16 inch Motors Indian rate please price
03:45 test starting
"iLube".... love it!!!
WE like it too!
Man u can tell the guy on the solo wasn't pushing down as hard as the rest.
Put brand-new blades in em and I MIGHT trust your review
Should of tested a STIHL
I agree. My ts420 blows my brothers K760 husky away. Way more power. Just got a ts700 and its a beast.
@@SpYucaipaSoCal I've honestly had the exact opposite experience. We lay concrete storm line everyday and have/use both the ts420 and the hooskie 760/770, everyone goes for the huskies first, every time. They are much lighter and the anti vibe is vastly superior to the stihl. Our jobsite opinions ofc.
Is this the actual CZcams channel for this guy looking at the other videos doesn't really seem like it is just wondering because I was thinking about subscribing but if it's all those random videos probably not
That’s super scary just the whistle that makes really creeps the GBG be out of me just like instead of Texas chainsaw guy, leather face carrying a chainsaw. He’s carrying a concrete cutter.
Your crow and test aria looks like JANCK yard
Huskavarna
Not sure what all the finger pointing was about just skipped over the vid with the sound off was hoping to see the looks of all 4 cuts not just the first one. Thanks
But the solo started last!3:53
The downside off the makita is that you have the starter pully on the right side and you can't tilt it because it's a 4 stroker!
you can tilt it has a pressure lube system
BS, i had it upside down at WOC and full throttle
You can bud it's got the same oil lube setup that koenigsegg use in their HyperCars.
The Solo got half as much cooling water as the rest.
Osha would love u guy first off no face shield second no dust mask
Hay q tener el cuenta el Factor Humano
Holy silica
Not to mention first saw that one got most of the water you kept going back to him more time on his side I know you guys are trying to do some stuff to help people but be a realistic about it all Cutters got to use the same motion we all know that the motion of the saw is what helps the blade cut through faster amount of water as a factor amount of time on the Broken Blade new blades don't cut it aggressive is one that might have already had 5 or 6 10 cats on it blah blah blah clean your tools thanks for the video
He put more water in first saw and least in last one.
I think not only time to cut but vibration, sound volume, weight to carry are all important in these kind of tests.
Hilti DSH 700 all the way!
Put the solo on the box back
Where's Hilti?.. It would've spanked them all.
Love hilti
Hilti makes good tools, but not good saws :D
@@TheXnocf true
Guys....
You have different blades on the saws.
whats up with that cant test like that
Guy on end no safety glasses or I didnt see.
The STIHL 410- 420 are notorious for their mufflers coming of almost every time, even when they have been used for about a week
And the carburetors are garbage
Fordguy Santana 😂😂😂😂right..
Stihl doesn't make their own carbs. Most saw manufacturers use the same carbs..tilletson, walbro, Zama, etc.
The only thing on test is the blade, makes no diff what spins it.
Yeah what about stihl
why no sthil? they are much better than either of the other brands you have tested
no .. no they are not ..
Ezzynation yes they are by far! Husqvarna are absolute rubbish. I've used partner, makita, stihl and solo over the past 15 years and stihl run rings around the rest. They've always cut faster, the hose fittings last longer, easier to start and serviceability is better.
Really???? then wheres the video showing such evidence???
hilti, wacker neuson, speedy cut, dolmar??
UnderTenReviews the evidence is me actually using them in real life over 15 years
I'm not a fan of the old partners saws, I'd take a stihl any day over one. But new saws? Husky all the way. The new stihls seem too highly strung, much like most modern equipment.
Daniel Roe a partner saw is a Husqvarna....so is a poulan...and jonsred
Silica dust, you know the OSHA new rule? no dust collector no constant tuning water and world of the concrete is what they talked about since last year
Efrain Tapia thank you. Teach these devils. Not enough water in the world tho. Wear the half face or don’t cut
We do a lot of concrete work and I use three saws and you did not test a single one????? Stihl is best, hilti second, and Partner 3rd for us. I use an electric for small jobs 12" evolution and its been going for over 5 years now.
stihl 700
Ill put my vintage Felker fas cut up against any of these saws
Go at Minute 3:43
Winner- Stihl Concrete Cut off
All you guys as Tools looks hammered ever thought about cleaning them with the pressure washer taking care of them on the outside are you guys just used to cut off the breeze buildup on them like you don't give a hell about your tools damn come on man take care of your s*** there's more to it than just changing the filter
what no heath and safety it would not be allow in Great Britain. come You tube you should really look at the safety aspect of these videos,
Just Go with ICS.
Husqvarna not husqavarna // a swed
No stihl no hilti,wtf?
husk-varna
"Huss-ka-varna"? Ha!
Silica
Exactly that!
Dolmar = Makita excellent.
4 strokes will never be first...2 stroke will dominate always...same thing with weed eaters.A2 stroke 250 dirt bike creates almost as much hp as a 450 4 stroke...thats why u can race them together..2 stroke dirt bike will also have twice the torque than a 4 stroke will...guys always think the opposite..dyno it or just google it.True
HusqAvana? Thought it was just straight husqvana, no A after q🤣🤣🤣🤣
Put a new blade on solo
Stihl
I like the Makita but sthil is just a power house
