    Customs have unpacked the shipment to "inspect" your order properly. This is not the factory to be sure. Typically, customs just checking and throwing all the parts in the box again. Have seen this several times when we get samples.

      Do not believe Coustoms opened this package, I am all but sure the issues were caused during shipping/transit to my address.

All saw chains packages were opened, they have X-Rayed the whole shipment and maybe thought this was some kind of "weapon", I don`t know. • @BriantWoodworks
    @BriantWoodworks Před 6 lety +1

    By watching videos of china knockoffs on guitars, Im wondering if your saw wasn't inspected at the border by customs. That would explain why it was "thrown" back in the box and also they would check the fuel and oil to make sure there is none in it for shipping (explaining the caps taken off). Either way. I love my genuine Stihl saws but I also love anything with a motor that revs and gets loud so I ain't mad at ya! Enjoy it for what it is, I'd saw a log with it!!

    • @craigtimmons3468
      @craigtimmons3468  Před 6 lety +1

      I really doubt this one was inspected by customs, other packages that have been inspected were taped back up with printed tape reading "package inspected by customs" and the original sealing tape cut. This package had none of that.
      I too own Genuine Stihl & Husqvarna equipment. The clone saws and kits aford me the opportunity to own the bigger more expensive version that would not be economical for me to purchase and also allows for the different mods I would like to try without destroying a $1,200 to $1,800 piece of equipment.
      The kit versions are fun to put together and you do not need all the special tools that some people say You must have, with just a little ingenuity and shade tree mechanicing you can put the saw kits together and be cutting firewood in just a few hours.

      Contrary to what you have been led to believe this saw is now 2 years old and still running very strong and very dependable, the only issues this saw has had was new out of the box, is the cone used for clutch engagement to the crank was not tight enough and at around 1 1/2 years the fuel line needed replaced.
      In my opinion for 1/3 the cost of the real thing this has been money well spent.

      The premise of the video was only the unboxing to show the condition of the contents after it's long trip across the big pond from China to the USA.

      Christophe Cailleux Thanks for watching, my opinions are it is a Beast its a little over 100cc's mine has a 36" 404 pitch full chisel bar and chain and weighs around 20lbs. I use it mainly for felling and cutting anything over 36" diameter. It has gobbs of power in this form but you can convert it over to an 090 which is around 116cc's with just a piston/ cylinder swap. At 1/3 the cost of a stihl it's well worth the money. Don't run them lean on oil I run mine at 32:1 with Lucas synthetic 2 cycle oil mix.
      I purchased mine from (www.huztl.net) the complete power head is on the "outdoor power equipment" tab and the complete parts kit is in the "complete chainsaw parts" tab hope this helps.

    • @craigtimmons3468
      @craigtimmons3468  Před 6 lety +1

      Christophe Cailleux Your welcome, Yes this particular saw (power head) was a complete ready to run out of the box with out a bar and chain power head, just add fuel mix I suggest a 32:1 fuel oil mix and some bar oil and a bar and chain and your ready to go cut some wood it may require some fine tuning of the carburator though to make it run perfect.
      The bar and chain was purchased separately from the power head. The 36" .404 pitch bar from EBay and the .404 pitch chain was a 25ft roll from huztl that I used to spin 3 loops.
      Huztl now offers a 36" bar and chain combo for this saw for about 1/3 the cost of the stihl bar I purchased, and they also offer a complete parts kit version of this saw that you will need to put together if you decide to go that way.
      Right now you can purchase a complete power head and a 36" bar and chain combo for right at $400 US plus shipping but if your willing to wait they run some good sales where the price will be at a 20% to 25% discount, you will need to keep checking there web site www.huztl.net
      Hope this answers your questions and good luck.

      Don't know which companies you have ordered from, I've placed many orders with Farmertec thru their web site and have always received my orders. Now with this being said there were a few that took 3 to four months to receive due to shipping methods and sometimes when shipped by boat once on the boat you will not get any further updates until it is received into customs (here in the US) and that can make it appear like nothing is happening with your order.
      Best of luck and I hope you receive your orders.

    I've had a Sthil 028 Wood Boss since 1985, and I've NEVER had a problem other than a carb rebuild and ONE engine rebuild in all the years that I've had it. All my buddies say I should trade it in for a new one-- NO WAY! It's been a dependable saw, and never failed it's job. It suprises me that people are sooo cheap that they'd buy a Chinese made copy of a Sthil on e-bay and not the real deal from a local Sthil dealer in their home area. If we don't support our local small businesses we won't have any, who will fix your Chinese Sthil rip-off then?

    • @craigtimmons3468
      @craigtimmons3468  Před 6 lety +4

      Ok let me start here, you say you've never had any problems with your Stihl 028 Farm Boss except a carburetor rebuild and an engine rebuild, Well I don't know from what book you've been reading but my book says you've had at least 1 BIG PROBLEM an engine rebuild is a MAJOR Problem!!!! Not very dependable when it won't RUN!!!
      Now I do agree with you that if it isn't broken don't fix or replace it. But if it is and it cost more than 1/2 the cost of a new one to repair then yes I agree with your buddies get a new one with a warranty you would be money ahead if you don't have the knowledge on how to do repairs yourself.
      Now on to the heart of your rant, let me start here, It was not purchased from E-Bay it was purchased from (www.hutzl.net) and if you would have listened to the video and or read the description you would have known this but your just like all the other bashers you have no clue as to what your ranting about because you don't have your facts straight. You say people are sooooo cheap and you don't know why they would buy this Chinese stuff, Well let me educate you, If you want to spend $1500 US Dollars on a real Stihl powerhead so that you can try different parts and mods on only to maybe have parts broken and or destroyed then go right ahead cause you have way more money than I do. Buying one of these saws or Kits for 1/3 the cost of the real thing allows those of us who like to hop these saws up (just like a hot rod car) to do so with money left over, so if we tear it up were not out that much money. Also we buy the kit versions because we all love the challenge of putting these kits together, its like a jigsaw puzzle with no instructions, something you must not be able to do because you just want to spend all your hard earned money for something that's ready to run right out of the box from the local dealer so all the profits from this go right back to Stihl in Germany.
      I've stated this fact in other replies to other comment left by other butt hurt bashers in other videos I have posted, check them out then go rid your house of all foreign made materials, then let me know how SOFT the FLOOR is, wait that Hardwood probably came from China also, looks like your sleeping on the ground now.
      I'll say this one more TIME, IF Stihl, Husqvarna, Jonesred, Dollar Makita or another manufacture would OFFER one of these kits I would gladly purchase it from them, but I'm still waiting.
      Your right if the local saw shop closes up because we don't purchase from them where will we have to purchase from then? It won't be my fault cause I can't afford the cost of a new Stihl saw that's 2 times over priced. If that happens then YOU won't have anyone to fix your real Stihl saw that you've had no problems with, except a carburetor rebuild and an engine rebuild, and I'll continue to fix my own stuff. If you want to bash someone for the lost jobs and all the Chinese goods start with your self and stop going to WalMart now who's the Hypocrite? Please let me know where you dump all of your Chinese junk. One more question for you, Where do you think Stihl Saws came from before they were made here in The USA? Answer: A Country (Germany) that Americans rebuilt after we destroyed it in WWII. Not much difference between that then and China now. Think about it . look at Japan also same deal.
      Have a Great Day

      At almost 4 times less than the cost of an equal size Stihl it allows someone with the know how and ability to try all sorts of mods to the saw and still be less than half the cost of a Stihl Power Head. These mods include different size pitch bars and chains.
      To the purist I know they are total junk, but to someone who likes to try different mods without breaking the bank this is the way to go.

      At less than 1/3 the cost of a Stihl counterpart I Will say it was a good investment, money well spent.
      Say what you want I know it's not a Real Stihl and I never put it off to be, but in the end it starts, runs and cuts wood when I need it to and that is all that really matters to me.
