LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay 21322 Complete Ship/Bay Review... Possibly the Best Set of 2020?

- Hey LEGO Maniacs! Well today we'll be taking a look at what may be the best set of 2020...
Pirates of Barracuda Bay easily falls into my top 10 sets of ALL time we'll get into why

Now we need a castle type build for LEGO ideas, since LEGO is incapable of bringing back popular themes
I know... really hope LEGO returns to its roots, maybe with the success of this set they'll reconsider
There are a couple of castle builds on Ideas, maybe one of those will become a set.
I think a hideout for Cedric and his Bull Bandits from Knights Kingdom 1 would be a good idea. Maybe something similar to a Forestmen/Dark Forest set. The Bulls didn't even get a hideout as a set in KK1 and some official sources say they lived in the Dark Forest implying it's the same forest. Besides Knights Kingdom 1 is in need of something for it's 20th anniversary.

Hey thanks Jorge 🙌 hmm same boat, pun intended lol, i'd base it off of how many island or ship sets you have and what your displaying it with? Both are fantastic, if you have lots of ships, island form, and if you have alot of pirate based sets, ship mode. Thanks for the sub btw 🔥

This is the set I'm most looking forward to building when I get settled in my new place. I'd love to have two...one to keep the ship built and one for the shipwreck, but can't justify the price haha. So awesome!

Tie, that was a swashbuckling review! A set worthy of my song! Honestly what else can be said about this set that hasn’t already been mentioned. I really don’t know the best way to display this as both ways are equally impressive. I’m curious though how the new creator one will stack up against this one. One last thing...I think they crashed on King Kahuka’s island and that’s really his booty! LOL thanks Tie!
What do you mean new creator one? They're making a new Pirates set? Or the new 3 in 1 that came out just recently?

Hmm the 3 and 1 set isn't bad it just has brick build sails which I'm not a fan of, other than that looks good. May buy that set as well

This set to me already earned its place in the LEGO Hall of Fame besides the greatest sets from days gone by, so it is more than fitting for an old school wednesday. There is nothing bad I can say about it and I don't think 2020 will see a set that comes even close to it. It combines the best of the modern building techniques with a classic asthetic which is just great.
The size is also quite something. When I build it I thought "well about the size I expected" and then I realised that I was only building the first half of the set :-D
I also think the ease of seperating the two areas is really clever. It works well for transporting the set. You heared my opinion already in the lifestreams where I hyped this one up. But it just is so great. The Treehouse was the best set of 2019 for me and it was/is really great and I highly recomment that set, but Barracuda Bay took it to a whole new level.
I agree, i was shocked at the size if it, everything they've done with it is topnotch, if theres something I think they should have changed you could but it would sacrifice something else that was great. All and all a perfect set.
I may need to buy the treehouse, i think were bad influences on eachother for buying LEGO lol

Haha does the change bother you? I'm hoping to mix in newer sets that are not star wars every so often with old school wednesdays, but usually it'll be an older set

@@TieTheLegoGuy I've read many people were not that much attracted but they got it as an 'accesory' to their pirate collections and they all end loving this set! Why do you didn't have too much expectations before building it?? And What was the COOL factor that turn it Great to your eyes? Cheers from Peru!
@@jorgeloo3131 dude I loved this set the moment I saw it, thought it looked fantastic 👌 everything about this set is sooooo good, love the fact you can fip it between a shipwreck islnad and boat. Pirates is one of my all time favorite themes so it was a no brainer for me to buy, had high expectations and it kept to them 😁

This is a really good set!! ( I say that too much lol). My ONLY problem... or issue with this, is that you can't actually put the mini-figures on the steps of the ship because they're the 1-by-3 angled plate. But everything else is Good.
Hmm never thought of that, but thats true, the other thing is you can't access the kitchen in its ship mode, small probelms tho, other than that its perfect 👌
@@TieTheLegoGuy You can't? I didn't realize. Hmmmm. I know there's a wall inside when you put it together, but there's a door. Oh well.
@@MisterRubbernose I guess he was saying the minifigures Can't get into the kitchen from upstairs (on the Island Mode they get access to the kitchen and other places from many angles - it's much more realistic)

I really love this set and wish I got it honestly, but I really love the classic smiley faces for some reason I wish they did those classic faces or "alternative" Faces to depend on ur style.
Hmm thats a good suggestion actually, or more older pirate style faves as well, would bring a bit more classic feel to it
You could change these out for the classic faces. Really, get this set!
The one pirate could be a little person also instead of a kid. Just a thought.
Hmm interesting idea, I could see that, although they use a kids face for him. The Imperial Flagship does that though 🤙

What i dont likenis that theres no space for canons on the lower compartment.... whats the point anw for pointing flags/covers in front of the windows???
I know... there is no gun deck really which is unfortunate

Alot... my early reviews tended to have alot of repition with the words used
Thenonly thing i don’t like is when u convert it into the ship, theres no cannon well!!! All good pirate ships need a cannon well!!!
Excellent point, its probably my biggest issue with it, you'd sacrifice interior though is the only thing, but they should have maybe fit it somewhere on the top level of the ship
