The more I watch Mainoo the more he looks and plays like Clarence Seedorf at his peak,but with THIS kid,winning the ball isn’t enough,his head is up and he’s going forward and playing another intelligent pass.
Big future for this lad,and as a rabid United fan,I’m lapping it up.
For all the talk I don't think he's that good defensively. He's aigt but going forward and progressing the play from deep is where he's excellent

It was never the quadruple anyway it wasn’t the champions league. So I don’t know why they were even talking about the quadruple!!! Hopefully they will end up with sweet F.A. (pun intended) again. Also even though it pains me to say it, hopefully Arsenal will manage to win at city this weekend and only lose one game, I don’t need to tell you which. To stop City doing 4 titles in a row, or even worse the, no I’m not even going to say it. As it is unthinkable.

i think many fans and probably United themselves already feel that Mainoo is a CM/8, and not really a DM.
He looks very all rounded and he has a great ability to carry the ball and play some good passes.. would be a shame to play him as a DM n make him stay back most of the time.

I loved Scholes but let's not act like he could ever tackle. He was great at putting in a professional foul when the time was right but his actual tackling was consistently shit.
he's basically an English Busquets (lite), or a Scholes type player. A Holding midfield player that controls games with smart passes, cheeky dribbling and good positioning. He really is an Iberian/continental type of holding midfielder rather than a traditional ENglish midfielder that stays defensive and tackles (a la Declan)

Busquets singlehandedly took apart TWO EPL championship midfields in 2 Champions League Finals. Scholes, Giggs, Carrick, Ji Sung Park. All running in circles without an answer or solution to the triangles he created all around the pitch. SAF himself had no clue how to combat Busi Xavi or Iniesta
Once Mainoo has done that, then we'll be able to say he's miles ahead of Busquets. For now, focus on beating the likes of Sheffield, Fulham, and Villa.

the problem i have with this win is what happens going forward?? EtH isn't some tactical genius all of a sudden... we're gonna have many players back and if we go backward as far as tactics and fall onto the back foot it would be a real shame...
i want United attacking, going forward, and using these players that have been injured and sitting the bench... and some how i feel that EtH will go back to the same crap tactics and we will lose 5 out of 10 and be knocked out of the cup as well...
