Are the paddles effective even when in D mode like on modern BMWs or do you have to put the lever in DS/M mode before for them to work ?

Hello, ask about the screw size of the shift paddle lock on the steering wheel, because I bought lci paddles, but different from the screw on ssg, I hope I can get the answer.
ok this may sound stupid because i don‘t really know what i‘m talking about. but wouldn‘t it work without all those wires if you just enable paddles via coding?
i just ordered the same wheel. it comes out of a e90 LCI, why should i have to do all that resistor stuff when i take a wheel off an e90 LCI to put it in another e90 LCI. it just doesn‘t make sense to me.

Nour I know that is an old video but I made the same retrofit for my 2009 E81 and want to ask something. Was your car shifting on D mode? Mine is only shifting in D/S mode, not in D mode. Can you remember?
It only shifts in D/S mode. In D mode it just shifts automatically. Cheers!

A few months ago I purchased an e90 LCI 328i that came with paddle shifters that look almost the same as these ones and I didn’t know if they are stock or not. Ever since I bought the car my passenger restraint system malfunction light has been on the Idrive along with my airbag light. How do I fix it?
James Berdeja it’s a fault on bmw it’s a recall call your local dealership they should take care of you for free ask them about the takata airbag recall
