Beware that the slides are like catnip to your Sims, they LOVE sliding and will keep trying to do it lol
I can't get over how some of the sims slip face-first onto the slide and just vibe over like they broke their neck
Right?! That hurts just to watch.
That's why I keep reminding myself that they are sims and they don't work like humans. It's also a good explanation for the rabbits that chirp like monkeys and roll over for belly rubs like dogs - they are special sim rabbits, with the extra ability to kill a sim in two hits.
The birds around the feeder can sometimes attack your sims. The moodlet you get alludes to the mobile phone game Angry Birds.
If 6 glasses of iced tea costs $144, wtf is the Sims economy on sheesh
That’s $25 a glass. It’s a mark up but not as ridiculous as it first looks especially since prices in the sims are weird anyway. I mean we can afford a home on a single low skill
Job income in this game. That’s equally outrageous.
How come nobody complains about the economy when they sell an orchid harvest for $1,250 a bud? 1 maxxed out Orchid plant can be harvested for $12,500 every day, I plant about 50 of them within the first week of starting a new Sim and they're millionaires within a few weeks of Sim-time. My Sims only work to get the unlockables, they don't need the money.
50 Orchids harvested every day is $625,000 per day. I have no idea why anyone complains about prices of things.

I think flower light gives your sims a dazed moodlet as.well if you watch it
The yard flower can make your sim dazed much like the dryer from laundry day
Little Ms Sam has really small mods for this pack
1 increases the quality of the drinks
The other gives a chance that birds will drop feathers when you feed them
Unfortunately I already had this one but use the wind chimes quite a bit and the slides for birthday parties and/or pool areas. Lemonade can now be sold at the stands if you have home chef hustle as an added bonus
Drinks from the summer drink tray can be sold if the home chef hustle pack is installed.

Petey, you're a true treasure. I downloaded my free copy. I don't think Backyard Stuff deserves all the bad reviews it gets. Its fine.
It probably gets hate because while it's nice for what it is it's still not worth $10. Imo stuff packs should be $5, game packs $15, and expansion packs $30.

I've had this pack for a bit but completely forgot about the drinks tray and the wind chimes. I'm gonna go place them on my Sims lot now.
This pack has such a cozy, wholesome vibe. Pair it with the ice cream machine and some visits to Sulani, and you have the perfect Sim summer.

None of my sims noticed the windchimes, except my hot-headed sim - she cant stand it! 🤣
I'm definitely gonna get a lot of use out of the drink tray. The other items are fun too. I'm grateful for the free packs. I'm hopeful some refreshes might come for them as well for older simmers.

I built my water park in the lot in Windenburg with all the water features you can’t actually touch 💧 pool and kiddie pools and arcade machines. I love having my sims visit during the hottest summer days and for birthdays

I think I might use the drink tray more than anything else from this pack. Maybe the wind chimes as well. I don't think I have ever used the water slides. I didn't know that sims could hate the wind chimes! Thanks for the awesome short and sweet video!

I've been wanting this one for the longest time. So happy I waited long enough to get it when it's free haha. One of the hairtsyles and fences that come in this pack are some of my favorites.

WHATTT IVE had this pack for YEARS and I had NO IDEA there were wind chimes!! Im guessing it’s a little like fruit cake, whether a sim likes the wind chimes or not? That’s SO COOOL

I use wind chines and bird feeder in most builds 🐦 And the birds can attack you from time to time 😂Its just becone a staple at this point. So glad more players get access to this pack ❤
For anyone who uses mods: there’s a mod that allows the feather collectibles (from cats and dogs pack) to spawn near the bird feeder which makes them more functional!
The slides do the exact thing as that big park fountain, you can put bubbles in it too. The lemonade does basically the same thing as the tea pot but the tea pot has 6 drink choices, unfortunately it doesn't tell you what drink causes what moodlet but you can make an educated guess based on the drink names. I don't use it often because every Sim seems to be addicted to it and will drink the whole thing by themselves one cup after another, gotta keep correcting them. Also, my maid and gardener will stop working and drink all my tea while my Sim is doing their morning workout, then they wonder why I never give them $100 tips.
The bird feeder is the most unique item, odd as that sounds, personally I feed birds outside my window, it's soothing and my cats love stalking them (they can't attack through the screen, just lurk and chirp at them), my Sims are going to use it daily.

The Wind Chimes is the best thing in this pack.
Very sad the bird feeder only works outdoors :(( my first thought was oh, I could make a little apiary/greenhouse room!

It’s free for everyone. If you already have the pack, it won’t change anything. Whether you have just the base game, a few packs, or all packs except this one, you can get it for free
I have wanted this pack before but I’m not gonna download it cause the game hardly works anyways
It’s so funny too because I entered a giveaway for this pack the day before they announced it was free. I didn’t win the giveaway but I did make sure to claim the freebie from EA! Now I’m just wishfully hoping for some in-depth bug fixes that don’t break the game again….key words: wishful thinking
If only they integrated the bird feeder to work for the bird tree from Cottage Living. Like they could have allowed the birds from the tree to go eat at the feeder, thus increasing their happiness towards your sims.

Don’t appreciate this. They’re not doing it out of the courtesy of their hearts. They’re doing it because simmers are furious they won’t correct bugs. And keep asking us for money on their broken products.
Backyard Stuff was not broken and if players can get it for free, why not. But let’s not give EA another cent until they fix their broken game! It is an obvious money-grab that EA released packs (For Rent and Crystal Creations) so poorly quality checked that not only did their game play fail but they also crashed and ate holes in existing game files. Boycott the Sims!
