8x7 is all we need in the end tho, but good mounting options for sure

11 can do log with labs firmware, which is on the naked already.

is there a way to mount the gopro vertical with the lens on the top of the whole construction? When i mount my current naked gopro likewith the lens faced down i see my drone on the footage. Would love to know if its possible to mount it vertically, but the other way around with the on the top!
Thanks for sharing. I have just put gp11 in geprc case. I wish I knew about v2.0 from flywoo. Question, is there lens protection on flywoo? Do you just screw the mount to the case? Good idea, not sure how strong that mounting is though 🤔

I wouldn’t recommend connecting anything other than the external screen to the rear USB-C
Hi Just wondering something. I am using namelessrc becs in my naked gopro 11 and the bec inside the cover can take 2 to 4s so I don't have to plug an extra plug to the battery balance port. (I take the power from battery with a smaller lighter dumb plug). If I would do the same with this one (Flywoo v2) would I fry the board inside the case? I mean if I use it without the balance port plug but connect it directly to the battery leads in my quad (4s)
It says you can plag directly 2s-6s from the battery! Because there is a Bec inside. Is it truth.?

Great video!!! Funny that it comes a week after I did my first naked base on yout step by step video for the GEPRC. Question for anyone willing to help: Since I did the conversion I am not able to have stabilisation using Hypersmooth built in, Reelsteady Pro (raw with no stab from the cam) nor the combinisation of both. Any suggestion is welcomed :)
So this case hasn’t the Bec inside as the Geprc one but outside on the power cable? It’s unfortunate !
Are you going sub250 for your work most of the time? Been thinking to upgrade from my
Smo4k but the 30g weight helps keep me in sub250g territory
Not really, when operating under a 107 the sub 250g limit only really pertains when flying over people. Otherwise, even if a drone is under 250g, it needs to be registered and have RID.
Would have preferred the magnetic cable for the screen and not the firmware update. Probably diyable though if you can source some male and female magnetic ports

The lead from the balance connector to the back of the GP had a small circuit board, what is that. with the geprc i just power with a connection from the balance connector, there is no circuit board inline?
Honestly not really sure what that is, the cables that come with the GoPro cases now don't have it.
Hey man great review. I ordered the 11. I use those magnetic ports to connect to a lot of my flight controllers. Can you plug that magnetic port into a battery bank for consistent power? Like say you wanted to pop the camera off of the drone and put it on a selfie stick so you don’t have to worry about having another camera. Plus it would be nice to have a front screen over my 11 mini lol
I guess it's possible if you make a battery (from drone) and put a voltage monitor inline, could use it! I want to make one for myself to repurpose this expensive hero 11 naked I have.
I'd rather wait to see the a GP 13 teardown - I don't see a lot of value in the GP 12 over the 11. Anyone else agree?

@@rayafk8502 not true imo, gopro 11 has 10 bit color and 8:7 aspect ratio so basically a bigger sensor which is for me already enough reasons to upgrade
@rayafk8502 they added 5k on 9.. 10 added 4k 120fps. And 8:7 sensor.. Same after that

The worst part about GoPro is that the quik app doesnt work (connect) when you actually need it to in the field. Infuriates me.

agreed, I've had it not connect even though the GoPro is on and in range. In the end it just needed me to log into gopro quik. Makes no sense lol

Appreciate the review...but to be honest the Flywoo V2 is $349.00 (USD) and one can get the GoPro Bones (US Only) for $249.00 (USD). I guess it's an option if you don't live in the USA but not for someone like myself who likes to stick with a single manufacturer for simplicity (and speed). Nice job on explaining everything.
It's definitely an epic case, but I think the weight is still an issue. One of the best features of a Naked GoPro is the ability to keep a drone at Sub250 grams if you needed to do any work over people. Yes I know, the FAA regulations and remote ID is a pain in the ass for flights over people, but I find there is a lot of work in filming events and stuff over people. Wish they made a Naked GoPro Case Lite or something to compete with the NamelessRC case.

I had never heard of them before reading your comment. Been doing some research and am obsessed.
I love the fact that it integrates the GoPro into the frame, has naked O3, prop guards for safe & legal flight over people, but has the agility of a 5" while being under 250g. Brilliant.
When I inevitably order one of their frames I will have some type of video on it 👍

I ordered the kit and there are no instructions, seems I have to cut the motherboard? Also, no idea where to solder the fan wires.
yes, there is a smaller ear on the bottom of the board that sticks out, this can just be cut off.

Does the kit come with everything or not because it is like $200 cheaper so surely there is somthing missing or am I wrong?
The kits come with everything you need to make one yourself (GoPro not included).
Flywoo - $95
GEPRC - $80
If you don't feel like making it yourself you can get it pre-built (GoPro included) but it will be more expensive.

Agreed, I wish they came together. At least you only need one though and that will work with all GoPros that use this case
I'm even having a hard time with my GEPRC cased naked 11 connecting to the phone. I can't preview the feed or update anything through my phone. I guess because the app isn't compatible with the firmware on the camera? who knows?!
Make sure your GoPro app is up to date. There was a brief period where they removed the camera preview function from the app. The latest version on iOS is 12.11
Also make sure your GoPro firmware is up to date.

@@johnmarkadakis do you have any idea what firmware it’s running? If you use GoPro labs you’ll be good, I know some firmware from GoPro will throw an error without the battery connected

This is really cool, much better than all other naked ones. BUT if you ever flew in a rain storm or snow you may love it especially in low light snow fall, you need a weatherproof gopro.

You could definitely waterproof the internals of a naked GoPro like this.
You will probably deal with overheating if filming in 5k tho

A magnetic battery connector FOR doing firmware updates seems like a poorly thought out idea.

I understand the need to protect the gopro naked but all this cases are not going way to far..? I mean we started with 37 gr. for a naked and now we're around 50gr..still light weight but they're getting "bulky"
Even though they are getting a little heavier, I am personally willing to sacrifice +10g for added durability and an improved design.
You can still buy the namelessRC case which weighs only 9g.
However, this case is made of relatively thin plastic and you will have overheating issues when filming in any resolution above 4K/60fps
Purchased today! It was presented just WHILE I was about to purchase the previous case (V 1.0)... a minute before I added it to the cart on the Flywoo website :D.
My first GO pro naked, a GP12, will be built with this case!
