    Hello guys,
    In this video i would show you how to remove and re install the battery of your motorcycle. This is full real time process as i have tried to explain every important thing.
    This video is slightly long as it takes bit more time while shooting/ recording it. Other wise it is a 10 to 15 minutes job.
    * Keep the ignition and kill switch off.
    Tools needed :-
    10 mm wrench
    4 mm Allen key
    5 mm Allen key
    Long Philips head screw driver (Star head)
    Very easy a simple process to follow, would help you in replacement of the battery in your motorcycle.
    If you need this in hindi then let me know i would make a voice over in hindi.

      could you show how to charge the battery once you remove it at home. That is one of the major issues faced during lockdown or when your bike is kept idle for more than 1 month.

    • @ijs_diy
      @ijs_diy  Před 4 lety +2

      @@leftlobestrained check out the jump starting video that would help. For charging you can take out the battery and connect it with you home inverter directly after removing Inverter battery and keep the charge on low if inverter has that option otherwise keep it as it is. Inverter should give enough charge in 4 to 6 hrs. Usually jump starting work fine.

    • @leftlobestrained
      @leftlobestrained Před 4 lety +1

      @@ijs_diy forgot to mention thanks to the lockdown..got a flat tyre too..so jump starting won't happen. Don't have an inverter option too 😔

    • @ijs_diy
      @ijs_diy  Před 4 lety +1

      @@leftlobestrained then the only thing you can do is to take some neighbor Hood friend's help and get it jump started with his Motorcycle or car or take the battery out to his place if he has a inverter. Otherwise you need to buy trickle charger or battery tender.
      Charging with car is not possible just jump start is possible.
      For flat Tyre , if it is only a air leak the try to get a foot or hand pump to fill it.

    I will be pulling my battery and connecting it to a maintenance charger prior to parking the bike for the season. Enfield recommends draining all the fuel for long term storage but my usual practice is to fill the tank and add fuel stabilizer, then run the stabilized fuel through the system for a few minutes prior to parking the machine . Any thoughts on this? It has served me well in the past on both fuel injected and carburretted machines and prevents the formation of rust inside the tank.

    • @ijs_diy
      @ijs_diy  Před 4 lety

      What Re has recommended in the owners book is something which most manufacturer/companies recommend here in India, but again your way of doing the storage process is also right adding fuel stabilizers prevent moisture and rust.
      Taking battery off is important which you are already going to do so I see both process as correct. We don't have to do seasonal storage here as weather is good for riding all year. Also if possible keep both wheel off the ground to avoid flat patch on the tyre.
