  • The glory years of Hollywood cannot be compared with any other; it was an era filled with icons whose heritage has kept us talking about them long beyond their passing. Their lives - the elegant clothing, the bitter fights, and enmities among them - as well as the scandalous relationships, were so classical that they have been revisited on-screen on many occasions.

Curly was everyone's favorite. But it is nice to hear how Moe took care of his little brother. Class act.

I watched the Red Skelton show when I was a kid. It was a show my whole family enjoyed once a week. My favorite character of his was Clem Kadiddlehopper.

Saturdays of my youth were spent watching the Stooges and Bowery Boys. When I was young, I couldn't figure out why Curly got all the girls. Now that I am a grandma in her 60's, it's obvious! He was charming and adorable, despite his weight. God Bless him and all the Stooges. 😊

One of Lucille Ball's earliest acting roles was in the Three Stooges' short "Three Little Pigskins" released in 1934.

Absolutely loved The 3 Stooges and especially Curly. Lucy and Desi in the movie The Long Long Trailer was hilarious! - Red Skelton thought he was a lot funnier than he actually was; never made me laugh or smile once but lots of yawns. I love your channel and your soothing voice. ❤

I was young, but I remember watching the Red Skeleton Show and watching his last show in 1970. Grandma thought that he was silly.

Shemp left the Stooges because he was hired to play in the Joe palooka Series in Hollywood. I heard that from Moe himself

Shemp did not leave the original 3 Stooges because of Larry Fine’s drinking & abuse - he left because Ted Healy (who brought “his stooges” together) treated them like crap. Do better research!

Please do a pecial video on all the Little Rascals, only said what happened to a few of them after they had grown up. many thanks. Loving the videos, they bring back memories from the 50s and 60s for me. Good times, clean entertainment, no sex, violence, bad language and drugs in the show.

Ted Healy suggested Curly shave his head.
Moe owned the barbershop where he had it done. He was always embarrassed by his bald head. That's why he often wore hats.

The first 'dirty joke' I ever heard was in a Red Skelton skit.
Freddie the Freeloader offered a half smoked cigar to his guess star. The guess star asked if it was clean to put in his mouth. Skelton improvised: "Nothing a little penicillin won't clean right up." The guess star lost it and took a full minute to recover.
I was ten years old and knew I had just heard a 'dirty' joke on TV but it would take a few years for me to understand it.

How could Desi and Lucy be an interracial couple? He was ethnically Spanish, i.e. European, just as Lucy was. The mere fact that someone is from south of our border, does not make him or her non-white.

@@anitahernandez6787 Yeah. No crap. That’s south of our borders. I’m from the US and yet I’m considered European ethnically. Same with Desi. His family ultimately hailed from the Iberian peninsula making him not only European ethnically but Celtic.
