Now I take the 2018 Indian Scout Bobber for a ride! I did take the standard 2018 Indian Scout but for some reason, my video did not take! Sucks, but I was able to ride both and compare while riding the Scout Bobber. Here is my take on this badass aggressive motorcycle. Check out the 2018 Indian Scout Sixty review below!

really strange, that there is a cut between the non broken and the broken turn signal LOL
Lmao I noticed that too, also noticed that he hit a bump before the camera cut out, and the pics at the beginning looked like it had been laid down. Exhaust looks scratched up lol
I was just looking to see if anyone caught that. It’s driving me crazy and before the signal fell off they looked like both of them were turned to the Left when he was holding the bars straight. Maybe it did get laid down and that’s why he said it feels rougher.
that turn signal though😂
Typical turn signal behavior
"we're here to look mean!" *turn signal hanging* :'D i was dying
For those wondering, in case you never got an answer: the turn signals on the Indian Scout are (for some reason) loosely attached and can shake around and even go crooked. A simple DIY fix solves it. Dunno why it's like that at the factory.
I've been waiting for you to do this video for MONTHS. Thank you my friend.
How did you bust the turn signal??
That awkward moment after a test ride when they ask about the turn signal hanging and you have to say "ummm I don't know, it just fell by itself". 🤷🏻♂️
Glad you finally got to make some Indian reviews! Hopefully picking up the Scout Bobber in a week or 2! I like the normal Scout but fell in love with the Bobber. It just felt better to me personally. Keep up the great videos dude!
I was drooling over the scout... until my eyes couldn't stop staring at the turn signal. Great video regardless. Will be visiting an Indian dealership this week to check out the bikes. I really like that Green and Tan complex, it suits the bike well.
5 star review. Great work as always. I feel like I've already ridden the bike.
Great video! We here at Viking Bags really appreciate your content, keep it up!
Hi, just wanted to say thanks for this - I was looking to get an Indian Scout and was undecided between the Scout Sixty and the Bobber. I'd never had a bike similar to it prior as I'd only ever rode Cafe Racers into Road and eventually Racers. Finally got the Scout Bobber, changed the exhaust over, put near 2k miles on it already. Love the aggressive style and the full feel of it.
I have a Corbin Solo seat on mine and it makes a big difference.
DaDanTheFireman, you have to comment on the broken turn signal, everybody wants to know what happened. I think you tried to fix it and you broke it.
i'll say he dropped it LMAO
This is the review of the Indian Scout Bobber that I actually like.
I have a bobber. I totally agree with the seat. It's hard and when you twist your wrist you slide back. I'm changing it for a Corbin seat. Power is awesome on it and handling is good. Feel in control of it and easy to handle. I have a crusher loud exhaust on it too as it's quite quiet with the stock exhaust. Gorgeous bike though. Very happy with it.
Thanks for the review not concerned about seat my bigger problem set it in other videos is happening to get fuel every hundred miles that sucks
Would you be able to do a Honda Fury review? Been eyeing one for my first bike. Keep up the great videos!
Thanks for the great review and a good laugh! I noticed the broken turn signal, too. I've been laughing ever since just seeing all the comments about it. It's like talking to someone face to face but all you notice is this big long hair coming out of their nose! LMAO!
Bro! You’re in Tucson! I am too haha
I’m currently looking at checking out the scout bobber. I’ve ridden quads and dirt bikes when I was younger but it’s been awhile. Would you recommend the bobber as a starter motorcycle?
I love my Scout Bobber. Snappy performance and mine is the bronze smoke color and it looks soooooo good. Such a fun bike to ride.
I looooove that color. Do you know if the regular scout comes I that color...
Corbin seat looks and feels great in the scout bobber
"Is the right front turn signal dangling out of position?". 🤔💭
Hey Dan great review. I cant wait to get my license and own a bobber. Could you tell me what boots you are wearing in this review. I didnt quite catch what you said. I know they are 'icon' but didnt quite catch the model. Thanks
You said while riding the Scout 20 that you don't like mirrors under the handle bars because you have to move your arm. But in this video you say you like under bar mirrors? I may have misheard, thank you for doing these in-depth videos for us sub 6 footers.
Corbin make a really nice seat for the IS Bobber. Also, check out Brandon Bicasso's channel, he has a kick ass Bobber.
Can you review the Riders Share platform/website? Would love your feedback!
What's up with the front right turn signal? Did someone drop the bike?
Should I trade my ‘16 Fort-Eight?
Corbin seat. Look at the 2019 's few more colors. Reinhart exhaust
WHat in the world is that thing hanging on the right? Is that the turn signal?
What brand of gloves are you wearing?
Is it just me or are the blinkers crooked?
And while Dan's talking about the head light... just before 18:44 , Dan's Right turn signal get jealous and says "Ok head light, that's it!.. I quit... LOL"
I'm looking at other reviews about the Indian and they only compliment the specs and the engine but tires go out quick suspension is not the good and part seemed to fall apart. Is that true or is it just a bunch of haters?
Feels like your sporster? You didn't rev it above 4500, which is where it makes all of it's power! Try it again and rev it out bro!
Hey man, I have a question...in your opinion what do you think is a better bike harley 48 or indian scout bobber (as a first bike, and/or bike in general)? I want to start riding and I want to get a bobber bike, and these two are on the top of my list. Great videos btw!!
I test road both multiple times and they're both great. Harley has the vibration that many love while the indian is smooth. Indian is definitely quicker and revs much higher. Air cooled vs liquid cooled. Really can't go wrong with either! A test ride will decide everything.
Great, thanks for the replay :)! Hope soon I'll get one :D.
What is going on with that front turn signal?
So when are you trading? You know you want it! Go on and bring that Awesome bike home!
what kind of gloves do have on?
Where is the windshield wiper controls ??
is it me or the right turn signal is broken?
Hmmm video is cut between the turn signal being good and barely hanging on
just bought a bobber, and i love it.
What gloves are those ? I dig them.
Corbin makes awesome seats
Good first bike?
I got the 2020 bobber as my first bike and I love it. But I’d say if you have no experience with riding, by something cheap on Facebook first to learn. The scout has a LOT of power for a starter bike if you don’t know how to control it. And the fear of dropping it as scary
I was wondering what that was hanging down, 🤣🤣🤣 I have a rebel 500 thinking of buying this bike in its place, thoughts??
Can you make the Indian scout or the bobber into a more off road bike? Knobby tires, increased ground clearance so you can drive over rocky roads like the desert roads Dan usually goes on?
the ftr 1200 is what you want
will it ride a whillie
Dude, you HAVE to comment on the broken turn signal! It's killing me. What happened? Did you drop it? Hey man, we've all done it at one point so no big deal.
On another note, I bought my Scout in 2015, actually got one of the first few made, at least within a couple hundred. However, all I've done since owning it is trying to give it a bobber look which isn't easy considering there are hardly any after market parts for these things. Then Indian comes out with, what I think, is the perfect starter bobber! I think I will trade mine in for one, but the wife is not going to be happy about that. She has been on a war path for me to sell the one I have already.
I know you sent this a year ago. But the reason for the turn signal as I've seen on other reviews. It's loose and would probably need replacing
hey where is that shop in a.z
What's with the busted turn signal????
9:25 your front right indicator is hanging off mate!
I hate the forward foot controls! As soon as I get mine I am putting a mid foot control kit on.
Did you get one and get mid controls? I’d like to get one and id do they same thing.
Have you tried the victory octane? I just got my license and am looking at buying my first bike, cross shopping an iron 1200, octane, and the scout this weekend. Any suggestions or things to look for?
If you look closely, the bobber is built off the octane. I love mine!
Joe Davis I knew they’re based on the same platform but curious as to which feels better. I guess I have to ride them both to really grasp that. Do you think it’d make a good first bike?
Luke V a good first bike is the one you feel good sitting on. You probably can't beat the price of the octane sinve it's not being built anymore, but don't let that scare you. Go with whatever is the most comfortable to you!
Well Victory is no more, if that helps...
Luke V did you get an Octane?
Shifted WAY too soon on that one bit where you guys took off from the light. Looks like you were shifting it like you would your Sportster. It still had another 3,000 RPM in each gear, and you’d JUST hit the powerband. Hehe. It’ll blow your mind for real, if you let it.
DanDanTheFireman I feel ya. I test rode a 2018 Harley Street Bob and had the opposite problem. Kept slamming into its rev limiter. Old habits.
I have slip-ons, air filter, & a tune on my Scout Bobber and 6-8K rpm is fun!
Thank you
I know this is an Indian review but I need an honest opinion between the scout and the Harley Davidson 48 asap plz because I'm getting one in the next 3 days. So far it looks like the Indian gives you a better Bang for your buck but the Harley Davidson is a better name And built with higher quality
Dan You fucking rock!
The Indian bobber does look nice but if you want to customize it which most people will you will have to spend another 5 to 10 grand
Fat Tire in the rear
brakes
new seat
new suspension handlebars
Wyndmoor PA
would the scout bobber be a good first bike?
Hell yes
The whole front end looks crooked before the light fell
I want the car at 11:18 . Thanks for the video.
Turn signal? You ok?
That turn signal. Lmao I'm ded
Bro the turn sig... Oh ok it's been called out
Corben make the best cruiser sits.
I like the Indians way better than the Harley’s . Build quality seems superior.
lmao! right front turn signal falling off and it looks like front left is pointing up in the air.
What’s up with the FR turn signal? Lol
Electronic fuel ignition?
Matthew Jones , are you asking if Fuel Injection is electronic? Or are you asking if it's fuel injected? The answer to both of those questions is yes.
Basic_Psychology I know this. I was poking fun at him saying electronic fuel ignition and not injection.
The right turn signal is broken.
I've heard the bobber has a problem with balance, and the weight is uneven, causing the bike to tilt to the right. Was that noticeable to you? I feel like this would be a big deal breaker for me.
Lol...sure you did
Lol I just realized that turn signal I even went back to see what happend haha he probably dropped the bike that's the only explanation I can think of haha.
ugh, the amount of stickers that are slathered on their tanks...
that broken turn signal though...
Your light 🤣🤣🤣
wtf the turning signal???, i seen in other reviews they complained about them getting loose but not fucking coming off lol!!!!!
Is it just me or is the right turn signal broke and hanging off the bike😂
That’s that custom turn signal 😂
Ayyy
Never mind. I see the other comments now.
I prefer the normal scout
I love my scout. You know you have enough power when you're scared of it. All in all, I'll ride it until the wheels fall off.
I got my 2018 Scout in Sept. of 2018. I have over 7K on it. I ride the sh*t out of it. Rock solid, no issues. With my wife on the back, I can twist the throttle at 65 MPH and pass a car like he's standing still. That's right in the sweet spot on this bike. I'll be getting a Springfield in a year or so and my wife will ride this one.
looks like your turn signals will fall off first
Still think it has enough power? She’s peppy for sure.. but after a year I had to up it
Reduced uhhhh
Reduced uhhhhHHHHhhHhh
Reduced UHHHHHH
I scrape peg way too much on mine
2018 was the year of the cruiser, damn they looked good then, too bad they all seem to be trying to modernise their look too much now.
Did the little guy drop his bike 🗿🗿
i got my eyes on these bad boys but im 5'3
I'm 5'3" with a 27 inch inseam and own Scout. After trying a bunch of different bikes, Shadow, CT50, and Sportster, the Scout fits me the best. I am riding it stock.
Turn signal I know Everybody's Talkin about it lol
lo ultimo que trajo el barco.USA.
Bobbers arent designed for comfort!
So dumb that bike companies don't put comfortable seats on their bikes. Having to spend $600 on a Corbin seat just to be comfortable should not even be a thing. You're already spending a good chunk of change for the damn bike! Anybody know anyone that has to change their seats in their cars because they're not comfortable??
I wish i wasn't too tall for these lmao
Brian Coughlan 6"9' dead ass serious.
Yeah... you'd look kind weird on one of these.
kendil22 oh for sure lmao
I was going to say, yeah, yeah, you are probably 6'2" and just soooo tall you can't ride the Scout (even though that height fits just fine and more, up to around 6'4") but at 6'9"?! Yep, you are too tall dude lol.
SuburbanHobbyist lmao yea. You on the discord? I'm father boogie on there.
Can you private message me?
Your turn signals looking at some chick or something because they sure ain't facing the road
Hahaha u dropped the bike on a test ride!!! Hahahahahaha
So you can lose half of the motorcycle 😎..
Blah blah blah with gusts up to 200.
I put some Indian medallions and stickers on my sportster does that make it a Indian of course not Indian motorcycles went bankrupt in 1953 what you are on is a polariis trying to buy a history and heritage they have not earned great bikes but Harley Davidson promotes their history as a selling point and is criticized for it polaris hijacks a history that is not Thiers and nobody seems to care great bikes but they are victory s not Indians that legendary company is s thing of the past
you have a Japanese denso starter on your harley no so much heritage either at least Polaris is building in the usa
Harley was owned by a bowling ball company at one point I believe... I'd wouldn't get too uppity if I were you. Most of Harley's parts come from china these days so I wouldn't get too excited there either.
Harley Davidson doesn't matter what badge is on it. He's talking about the bike. Didn't hear one word about the heritage.
Isn’t Harley going bankrupt too? Or I heard something about some kind of financial trouble
Lol, no not quite. They are losing sales in the states at a good clip, but still turning a profit. They are moving production for bikes meant to be sold overseas to taiwan to avoid the tariff wars to. Harley is having a hard time wrapping their head around that tastes are changing in the US, and they need to change with it. They are no longer the "IT bike", more like the "Old annoying loud mouthed grandpa bike".
