One piece of advice I will give to people. This is NOT a story driven game. The story is short and is used as background info for the environment and the tutorial for how to play. The game is meant to be played as a semi-open world sandbox rpg of sorts where you build your estate, breed, care for and compete your horses, and of course go for hacks across the map. Just live an equestrian life. If that's what you like get the game. DON'T get it just for the story.
To be able to style your horse's mane and tail, you have to complete the quest Reconciliation, which is a main quest. You then are able to the side quest, A Lesson in Style, where you get the blueprint for the Styling Shed. You don't need a large stable.
'Daddy likes geldings' is the highlight of this video for me X,D. Thank you for trying out this game, while I did see mixed reviews I bought it anyway. Long story short it has great potential and also weighed down by a lot of flaws and bugs. But I have been enjoying it, I've sunk almost 40hrs into it so far, and the developers are fixing the bugs. I do recommend other people to wait a bit longer before buying it if you're tolerance for frustrating bugs is low.
I’ve become so addicted to this game… I finished the main quests in 9 hours of playing and I’ve caught so many horses I love them all! I really hope they add more main quests and content especially with the Félix family! EDIT: does anyone know where I can find sunflowers???
There is some sunflowers just outside of the Felix family place! It is on the left up a little hill as you ride towards the entrance. (I don't know how to get accents on this keyboard so i can't spell Felix correctly sorry)

To do the best in the races, look for horses with the highest endurance, agility, and strength as possible aka 5 plus for each. Also look at their traits, water lovers, mud lovers, and dark forest are a plus in the more difficult races. Just a little info I learned the hard way. :)

Anybody know how to get back a whole completed save file if possible just had a message say my file was corrupted I had everything on it and lost it all now I really don’t want to play this again just to build up and possibly lose everything again

Star stable... Alicia Online... GET AWAY FROME ME. This is the game of my horse Dreams. How have I not notice this. I want it. How is it that no one was telling me of this untill now.
I just got this game on the switch and played for 10 minutes before putting it down, the graphics on the switch are SO BAD, it's pixelated and grainy, no joke it's like watching a video on youtube at 144p no lie that's how bad it was, the only clear thing to see what text bubbles. I sort of feel ripped off for the £45 I spent on it ( I got it off Argos on preorder), Yeah In the box, you get a code for the DLC and 3 postcards, a set of 6 stickers, and an iron-on patch, I got it on the switch because I like to sit in bed and play games when my body is not working that day, so am very disappointed in it, I'm tempted to get it on steam but that really annoyed me that I'm paying for a game 2 times,

Edit: you can get the styling shed once you’ve gotten the quest to find Felix. You will enter the Felix estate and there will be a styling shed.
