Pfft this is nothing compared to Honkai.
That game basically has more currencies than the entire Oriental & Pacific regions in the south hemisphere of the globe.
@@mohamedab9033 Yeah but I would say honkai is pretty easy to understand but in this game and honkai the menus are way overly complicated
@@ruaruam Honkai is NOT easy to understand. And it took me a day but I got ToF's currencies down. Honkai i was playing for a month and still discovering new currencies i knew nothing about.
The Menus are a different story alltogether
It's always a bad sign when a game has this many currencies. Thank god Genshin made it so simple. The core mechanics shouldn't be this confusing.
Not that much it one more roll currency then genshin and honkai star rail
I want Tower of Fantasy to succeed so Genshin can be pressured to improve and be more generous to its players. That said, something I think Tower of Fantasy could have learned from Genshin is minimizing screen-clutter.
Going between the two, I am reminded of why I have lost interest in MMOs and never gave other gacha games much of a chance -- screen clutter is such an eyesore that makes it harder to relax and play.
yeah, hope this makes Mihoyo get off their asses, half the stuff in 2.8 feels like it's designed to waste your time and give the illusion of abundant content, basically content padding, 2.8 was a slog.... Mihoyo has become complacent and refuses to learn from more generous gacha and special rewards from other games.
especially when you are a healer/support, instead of focusing on boss.
y'all have to understand that genshin is just designed that way. not that much things to do so as they're also trying to accommodate people from china. and i dont think ToF will be enough for them to change that.
Absolutely. One of the things that genshin does right is currency in my opinion. Less currency is less confusing to the player and payer, making it easier to understand the 'value' of every purchase.

This brings me back to early genshin content creation haha. We're gonna need a 1.0 character/weapon tierlist that will probably be inaccurate in a few montha
or inaccurate right from the start like the one from genshin when nobody was able to appreciate xiangling as the best pyro dps she ist?

First, click the banner and then you take the dinglepop, and you smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches.
Then you take the dinglebop and push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice.

This video is so helpful I already spent all the dark crystals I got so far :D Plus I spent them on the standard banner at first ... I'm only ~5 hrs in or so so I don't think I spent too much!

i have trauma from genshin so i didn't spend any of my dark crystals coz i knew better 😭

I honestly love how F2P friendly the gacha system is in ToF. I literally got Zero and Huma (SSR) after playing for a few hours...
I wish Genshin was a bit more like this ngl
Honeymoon phase for a new game. I'm just not sure if it would be as F2P friendly down the road with limited banners and harder content coming. On my experience playing MMOs, it's a norm that for you to keep up with content, you must get the newest weapon or armor available. In the case of gacha like ToF, you must have multiple copies of the character or weapons to be viable, else be power crept to oblivion. That would take multiple pulls numbering to probably hundreds. I'm not sure if the current source of pulls for F2Ps, once honeymoon phase ends, would be enough to cover for that. :(
While for Genshin, you just need C0 and you're good to go, with higher constellations just a bonus for F2Ps.
I think you're confusing being lucky, with tof being f2p friendly. I can agree that the pity system not resetting is a huge deal for f2p players, but you were just lucky there, could've happened in genshin too. Anyway, hope you're having fun in the game!

Yes seeing how everything just screams like it's gonna be expensive to try to get something in order for you to try to pull for a couple of weapons, I'm definitely not gonna be spending any money on this again once we get further confirmation on this being out on consoles. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to like make whatever build you want and make do with what you have instead of trying to get that really cool weapon/character for once. Despite my brain exploding this was a very helpful guide though I'm probably not gonna be spending much if anything on this game and just explore and you know play it like an actual video game lol. Great guide as always Sevy!
Great guide, very helpful to send to my friends to explain things more but probably worth noting, one of the challenges requires seven daily logins. So potentially we have to wait a week before completing it.

I'm only at 2/7 login lol, I want to get the ssr box asap, who would you guys suggest I get, rn I have huma, coco, shiro and nemesis
how could you guys got 4+ ssr? i only have 1 star meryl and 0 star nemesis in 4 days, and even though my meryl is 1 star, the dmg just increased slightly, i've got no idea how to increase ny dmg (my level is 32 and both ssr were 50)

Thank you so much for this guide. As a genshin and hsr player I have 0 ideas the game was so generous, I literally missed all the event goods because I didnt Understand the event pages. Looks like I’m gonna start my new era in hsr, genshin and Tof while I wait for albedo’s rerun. This game helps me realise how much easier genshin is to players, but I absolutely love the gameplay in this game!

Note: Limited characters are always added 3-5 months after their first rerun (unless they’re purely limited, like Linye in CN)
Energy crystal dust is the initial currency we get. At lv40 we start to get purple dust and when we can unlock legendary armor there's gold dust. After those 2 come out you only spend blue dust on mats to upgrade your armor pieces.
