- In this video, learner driver Camille takes a mock driving test with Pin Binning from DGN Driving School. Overall, her standard is very good, but she makes one serious mistake where she fails on an uphill junction because she stalled and rolled back.
Pin gives Camille some helpful feedback on how to avoid making this mistake in the future. He also talks about the importance of staying calm and focused during a driving test.
This video is a great resource for learner drivers who are preparing for their driving test. It shows what to expect on a mock test and how to deal with mistakes.
If you're a learner driver who's preparing for your driving test, be sure to watch this video. It could help you avoid making the same mistake as Camille and pass your test on the first try!

Big Congratulations Camille on passing your test and thank you for taking part in the Mock Test
Welcome to the DGN Alumni!!!
Well done Camile I knew you would smash it. Out of interest how many minors (if any)?
@@darenbayliss7173 Thank you! Also, I picked up 3 minors so not so much as this mock test 🤣
passed 4 days ago, now can watch these for fun 😂

Good job Camille. That hill catches most people out. Good luck on your test 🙌🏽🙌🏽
she did really well compared to your other drivers. good job on a mock! keep it going!
She’s actually a really good driver. I really enjoyed watching this and have learned so much. Well done Camille and good luck 🤞
Great driving Fromm Camile. She will smash the test once she sorts out her hills starts.
Well done. Good job, very calm and well taking care of the situation
Can now say I am part of the still watching but passed club ! Passed today with only four minor faults. Thanks for the videos Pin, they really helped.
Welcome to the DGN Alumni and congratulations on passing your test!!
Passed my test today, 2 minors!!! Been binge watching the videos, thanks so much!!
Nice !!! I'm sure she will smash it during her real exam !! good luck
She did really well tbh
What the hell is that pfp
@@scream2085 coming from you is very interesting

I’ve been driving for 47 years and I still hate hills!
depends on the car. some are quite bad to hillstart. especially my dads e class with a 150hp diesel is hard. it just doesnt have the low end grunt necessary for that, has no normal handbrake (handbrake is a fourth pedal) and being a diesel it doesnt rev up into a useable revrange fast enough like you can do on a petrol car.
Biggest lie 😮
If something makes you uncomfortable its normally a sign you need to practice it. Trouble is once most people pass their test they never practice any driving skills again.
@@SimonBauer7if it revs up slowly just keep the revs up the whole time. Diesels have better low end torque than petrol. It's about clutch control anyway, any amount of torque in a car is enough with the right amount of clutch slip helping it. My old camper from 1972 can handle any hill it just takes abit of practice, now I don't have to even think about it. No handbrake at all, I just feed the clutch in as I come to a stop just to the right point to hold it, depending on the steepness of the hill then feed it back out when I want to start moving. It's an unturboed petrol so has no torque at all. I just went out and practiced when I got it, now its no issue.
@@SimonBauer7I was wondering this. You’ve just confirmed it for me. I went from a petrol and no problems hillstarting to a diesel and stalled it the other day.
I passed a few months ago but got stuck on a hill a few days ago, there was traffic coming from both sides and each time I had a gap to get out I couldn’t get my handbrake off as it was so high, safe to say, I don’t think my grandparents will be getting back into my car for a little while 😂
LOL don't worry just keep practicing it
Passed 2 days ago thanks for all the tips on driving
Well done on passing your test
the 90 degree bay reversing is way outdated now, especially as cars are wider than they used to be, and for a lot less space in a car parking space, like my town unless you do a 45 degree angle bay parking, then super easy to damage a car on the drivers side or a pilar when reversing into a bay on the left, as steering won't turn the car fast enough. and think this should be a talking point for brand new drivers after their driving test. and also trained to do the 45 degree angle reverse, as kind of mandatory to know with modern cars, and smaller car parks. first time I remember having to learn the 45 degree angle was on my fathers Xantia back in 2001, and then teaching my friend to do the 45 degree angle with his Xsara in 2005. and he noticed how much simpler it was without having to watch all sides for when to turn, and also back and forth in the car park to get the position. as for the pilar I missed it by millimetres with the back corner on the drivers side, but even then had to pull forward to make sure, and then reversing back I was only just skimming the mirror even though I was central in the parking space.
She's a great driver.
I'm a very experienced driver back in the day in my country. I have like 500k miles on my back. But the UK driving test is a ceremony that you must follow to change your licence. I wasn't able to practice with the instructor too much, since I've managed to grab a cancellation. Having just 4 days before my test, I must heavily rely on videos like that. I watched about 10 of them - and now I've passed my exam. My rent-a-car-for-test instructor was being such amazed at how I'd come prepared. I've told to him, that this is only because of your videos, mate. Well done. You really saved my exam, and 300 pounds for renting a car and test, haha. Wish you all the best!
When I was learning, I got stuck on a bend on a 1 in 4. I'm still scarred by the experience - I've never driven that bit of road since 😱
Finally passed first time with 2 faults. Best feeling ever
Thank you for your videos! they helped me a lot, passed today with 35 minors!
35???
35 minors?? This should have been a fail
When passed and you have your own car can you be moving off when stopping and of the road using clutch only for both petrol and diesel? Or it this only possible in a instructors car?
Diesel will be better rather than a tiny 1.0 petrol engine to learn in and I’m lucky I learned in a diesel and now drive a 2.0 petrol engine as my first car and they are easy to drive. If I had a small 1.0 car especially an old car I just sit there stalling going absolutely nowhere! Especially when trying to do hill starts!
Just passed my test today with 3 minor faults 🎉
Im fairly confident for my test tomorrow it’s at 11:11 at featherstone 🤞🏼
Did you pass
@@Kooner14 I did first time with only 4 minors, very very happy ☺️🥳

I just passed my test first time today with only 4 minor at featherstone so happy, does that mean I’m going to stop watching DGN though, absolutely not😂
Congratulations on passing your test and welcome to the DGN Alumni!!
Is it not a fault that she keeps restarting the engine in gear after stalling? Seems like a far too consistent thing for her through this test
She's pretty good though, only has a few things to brush up on for a pass :)
When turning right i don't turn the wheel as if I get shunted from behind il get pushed into oncoming traffic
It might be the camera angle but that hill didnt look steep at all lol
She’s definitely gonna pass
passed last week, nice to watch now😂😂
Well done for passing your test and thank you for watching the channel

@DGN Driving School I have a driving test on 18 July in London and it would be great if you do a mock test with me, I ll be grateful to you Thanks
I am based in Wolverhampton but good luck with your test, let us know how it went.

Is Cannock to far for you to come and do lessons ?
I don't do lessons any more myself but check my website out to see if we are in your area.
My turn to be pined!
I hit the curb today on my 4th lesson 😬😂
How did your instructor take it?
@@DGNDriving he wasn’t too happy but said it will help me learn from my mistakes. 2 lessons later and I haven’t done it since so I think it worked out
why is she using parking brake at the junction ? my instructor never taught me that, only time I'm using parking brake is when car is parked :)
Parking brake? Do you mean hand brake?
So did she pass or fail this mock ?
serious faults are an automatic fail
He said at ghe end it was a fail.1 serious is an automatic fail.
