Misa is awesome as always, but Akane’s drumming and Kanami’s guitar reached new heights.I heard this immediately when it came out and was floored by it. The girls rock hard as always but “Blooming” shows a marked increase in sophistication. Kudos to Saiki’s vocal and Miku’s great harmony. A great song.
Got my type A Conqueror package a few days ago. Just like World Domination there is not one bad song in the bunch. Not one. Liberal and Dilemma are quite excellent as well. Band-Maid will also be seen on the Netflix production of Kate playing themselves in a recurring role. (It's Been a Hard Day's Night?) At the least this should bring Band-Maid to the attention of hundreds of thousands who have no clue that they even exist. They have recently appeared at a festival in the east which was headlined by Slipknot and both are on the bill at a similar music festival in Mexico this Spring. Live Nation does Aftershock Music Festival which last October 13th drew 35,000 to see Tool, Korn and Babymetal. I am sure that this year will be Slipknot and Band-Maid. You can take that to the bank. John, l saw them in LA on September 30th. I have been to a million shows since October of 1966 when l saw the Seeds backed up by the Doors. The almost two hour show at the Echoplex was the best show l have ever attended with the exception of Jimi Hendrix at Cal Expo in 1970. Hands down!
I´m also happy about the fact, that she got (or took) the time to develop her solos to a more important part and not only as a short demonstration of her outstanding abilities.
@@joki5346 Thanks, doc. 'Took' seems more proper than 'got'. I had no idea that I should use 'took' with solo. BTW, what I've expected in each song was Kanami's longer solos and she had skills to do that. However, she could not play solo and backing at the same time. These days, Mike's guitar skills (her teacher is Kanami, of course!) got much improved, so Kanami could become free as a soloist and not to care about sound balance/thickness. I think that they are still developing their skills and creativity (almost by Kanami's mulitple talents). They're one of real rock band in Japan although sometimes they have to make it poppier for client's requests.
Up to close to 100 songs in their catalogue now. I am impressed. Just how improbable this band is escapes most people's attention. In 2013 Kobato Miku could not play a musical instrument and she knew nothing of western style rock n roll. In fact they only thing or person she knew then was Akane Hirose. And look at her and them now.

Dude, if you like Band-Maid then check out Ironbunny. They're also a Japanese hard rock band, but with three female vocalists (that have amazing harmonization) and a cyborg guitarist. :D I'd suggest checking out their songs E.I.D., Lightning Speed and Three Shot Thruster.
This a great song, but the new production company has it compressed down too much. You can hear the guitar if you try, but the cutting through of past leads is lost, and the bass sounds like it is muted.
That is not the production team. The sound of any recording is the sound engineer's responsibility and is signed off by the album's producer. This criticism of the band is misplaced at best. Three years ago l heard similar misinformed statements like: the MV was too dark. Band-Maid needs more lighting. Or, the MV was too choppy and cut up. When Band-Maid films their videos they should not use jump cuts. People Band-Maid does not mix their own music or albums. Band-Maid does not stage lights or film themselves. You blame this band for shit they have little to no control over. Here is all you need to know and it is repeatedly confirmed by fans everywhere. I have seen this: five ladies walk out on stage where they plug their guitars into amps, do a little quick tuning check and proceed to immediately launch into some insanely good riff and proceed to enthrall their audience. That's the bottom line. They play live far better than most who can record something over and over to get it right. That's where you judge this band. And on stage these ladies are damn near flawless.
@@sacluvsBM Calm down Bud, I' not criticizing the band, but the engineers. Whoever did the final mix-down did not bring the various parts to the front when needed on this album. Some of the songs (I bought the album) are done better than this one, but on some of the songs the mix is kept too neutral and you have to concentrate to hear the lead, be it guitar, bass or vocals. The skills are still there and amazing, but you really have to try to hear them.

Both Miku and Saiki are on record as saying the recording facilities in NYC were way better than what was available in Japan. It just makes little sense that production people would deliberately sabotage their own product. Maybe somehow compression saves the record company money in a way l am not aware? And you are right. When my band gets criticized l plex like a protective older brother. Happy New Year.

Three very recent polls in Japan have Band-Maid rated top rock band in Japan. First time ever and they beat some stiff competition.

ヴォーカルの声のクセを消して、今風にしてるのかな。疾走感があるし、ＭＶの質が上がってると思う、良いプロデューサーが見つかったのかも。2:40からの盛り上がりと、完成度はかなり高いと思う。ＫＡＮＡＭＩはクラシックギターをベースに、ＣａｒｌｏｓＳａｎｔａｎａの影響を受けているとＷｉｋｉにあった。個人的にクラシックとメタルはかなり近い位置に居ると思う。
