Blooming is the perfect blend of punk, pop. rock, and {power} metal. This song can do no wrong for most people. Since you two are into metal, Rinne would be something you really like. Its their most metal song at the moment.

@@ChrisPage68 Oh, yeah. Like Jinjer, for instance. But as for a hard rock band, I can't think of a tighter band playing today. I've played in rock bands for decades and know what a tight band means. Take a listen to "Cross", for example. czcams.com/video/yQn4IMr56zY/video.html Of course, the best examples are from their latest online concert, which you can still get tickets for, BTW: bandmaid.tokyo/contents/376042 (for info and membership discount) or at zaiko.io/event/333406 After seeing this concert, to me, PageMonster, there is no tighter hard rock band that I know of.

this song is a perfect example how amazing their drummer, bassist and lead guitarist work together.. its amazing how they fade into each other with unique transitions you only hear once in a song. also this song has imo the best vocal flow. the way misa started back into the heaviness after the breakdown... ♥ they didnt have power at start to do what they wanted , thats why thrill sounded so different. other people wanted them to sound like that. they later on had the ability to choose what their songs should sound like and they made a song about it "alone" which marks the point where they were independant and could write their own compositions. sry for my bad words. =p

Answer to "How can you be a maid and burn the set down like that?" - BAND MAID calls it THE GAP! there's a gap between how someone appears and what they do, it draws attention. Some people find it attractive. Miku has said that was what she was going for.
Miku is the center pin to this band. That said she takes a back seat (willingly!) to the others. She came up with the idea for the band, got the band together - interesting story there - and does most of the MC work when they are on tour. When they come to the U.S. they are going to explode onto the scene. Especially if they do a tour like their LINE CUBE SHIBUYA concert.

FYI they did not write Thrill, their record company at the time rejected all of Kanami and Miku's songs.
The maid outfits are to create "The Gap" meaning the difference between what you see "demure maids" vs what you hear Hard Rock.
They write, arrange and produce their music. Knanmi (lead guitar) is the primary composer and Miku (Band Founder, rhythm guitar) is the primary lyricist. All members of the band contribute in the creation of the songs. MISA(bass), Akane(drum) and Saiki(vocals) worked as session/backing musicians and Saiki was a backing dancer prior to joining the band. They are superbly talented and professional musicians. The main reason they are the best Rock Band in the world right now!!
Remember no matter how good you think you play a musical instrument, there is a Japanese lady who plays better! (paraphrased&stolen)
You should checkout Miku and Kanami's review of Different by younggiutar magazine, Its on a limited time release.

Just for a moment, forget they're all female and forget they're dressed as maids. Two members (MISA - Bass, Akane - Drums) are classically trained pianists and musicians who studied at the Tokyo Academy of Music while Kanami, the lead guitarist, has also been playing piano since the age of 3 or 4 but is concert standard (almost unbelievably, given her skills, she only switched to guitar about 10 years ago!) They all have superb musical ability as well as passion, a lack of ego and the drive to play real, in your face, Rock which is why they are THE best live Rock band on Earth right now.
OK, now that's explained, you can go back and marvel at how cute those outfits look and how incredibly beautiful all the band members are.
The only band I've seen that is playing live like bands I went to see in the 70's, such as Led Zeppelin or Sabbath or Zappa. Music they write themselves, real guitars, drums and bass played loudly and with passion as well as powerful Rock vocals. They are all really close friends and know how to have fun together on stage, confident as they are in each others’ abilities and skills. They've revived the classic Rock sound and given the genre a much needed kick in the ass, as Babymetal have done for Metal. Future reactions I'd recommend, as they really shine brightest live, would be from the DVD they released in April. Great reaction guys! You guys should check out Ov Sacrament and Sincest by Infant Annhilator, and more Orbit Culture, either Open Eye or Nensha, which is the first song in a trilogy, Nensha, Rebirth, and The Shadowing. They all have videos, and tell a story, but you reacted to the finale first.

If you haven't seen The Daily Blab's videos "Hitler Defends His Love of Band Maid" and "Hitler's Told About Band Maid Conquering America" (both done in the style of the Hitler Parodies video series) yet, get on You Tube and watch them -- it will be worth your time!!!!!

Nice reaction. When you upload a video of Band-Maid, Band-Maid fans (thrown into the flames by Saiki) will gather from all over the world, like moths gathering on street lights. The conversation is interesting, but reading it all wastes valuable time, so sometimes listen to it while meditation like a "Zen" monk. LOL.

Thrill was when they were first starting out so they had little creative control. Now they compose, write and produce their music on their own for the most part. And this is the result. Keep reacting to them. You won’t regret it. Maybe Secret My Lips and Play (live) next? And then “Onset” official live. That, for me, is a masterpiece instrumental.

I really like this on too, in no small part to the tight harmony interlude. If you haven't, you also might check out their instrumental tracks, "Onset" (older) and "Don't Be Long" (brand-new - written to help Miku practice playing fast, for Different). And the new album is on the horizon, in about a month! Good job, guys!

They didn't write Thrill, but once they started writing their own music they took off and never looked back. Miku doing back-up vocals and rhythm guitar is not just the founder of Band Maid, but the hidden jewel with her harmonies with Saiki, as demonstrated here on that breakdown after Kanami's guitar solo. The best rhythm section in rock today, IMHO, is Akane on drums and MISA on bass. Every member in this band is phenomenal.

They have come a long way since Thrill, but it was Thrill that gave them their break through - they were on the verge of breaking up, but because Thrill "exploded overnight", so to speak, it gave them the encouragement to continue. Thrill will always be a long time fan favorite. The have come such a long why since then, but every time I hear Thrill, I can't help smiling.
Now, as you know, Band-Maid are a ROCK band. They play the "sphere" of Rock music and all connecting genre's... Often in the same song. Check this out Puzzle Live www.bilibili.com/video/BV1n4411f7Do?from=search&seid=6227565914889757774 This is one of my favorite B-M songs. It rocks so well, heavy - yet not metal. For me this is Band-Maid.

Definitly check out these Songs by Bandmaid:
This one is really in the Metal direction: czcams.com/video/CQ9dbEVgZcA/video.html
And this song right here is (in my opinion) has one of the best Vocalperformances from Saiki:

Kanami needs to rest her hands from that blistering solo that can never be matched for its skill and brilliance so she can blow away her first blistering solo performance with one that can never be matched for its skill and brilliance until Kanami plays her next song.
