In the racing industry, we coin two phrases, Tall Gears and Short Gears. Tall Gears are those with what we call long legs, they allow the vehicle to reach maximum speed on a long racetrack, such as Charlotte Motor Speedway or Road Atlanta..... Short gears are those with short legs, they are used in events where the vehicle needs to accelerate rapidly but rarely reaches top speed or anything greater than 3rd gear. These "Short Gears" are usually confined to rally events, hill climbs, and autocross events....
Short gears (such as the 4:10) will allow quick acceleration, which might be effective coming out of the hole, but they will suffer greatly on top end as the vehicle reaches it potential redline RPM too quickly and therefore never reaches the maximum potential speed of the vehicle.......
Compare that to a ...say 2:90 gear which will not be as fast off the line, however it will allow the vehicle to reach much faster speeds as the final ration of Engine RPM to axel turns is vastly reduced compared to the 4:10, allowing the vehicle to have much "longer legs" (aka lasts longer) and therefore achieve much higher speeds than the short legged 4:10 gearing....... A 4:10 differential at 7k RPM, produces about 25% to 30% less top end speed than a vehicle with a 2:90 differential (given all other things are equal).....
That said, it becomes necessary to understand what the car is going to be used for, in order to understand its relative rear gear setup. Try using a 4:10 gear at Charlotte motor speedway, and you will be the slowest vehicle on the track. If however you are in a autocross where you car will not exceed 35 mph, then the 4:10 gear will shine in that scenario as it will achieve those lower speeds quicker than a long legged gear ( such as a 2:90).
Using a 4:10 gear in a street car, will eat a hole in your pocket fuel mileage wise..... further it will cause your engine to operate at a higher RPM, which results in top end cylinder wear over time......
The more ideal approach is to keep your gearing 3:31 or 3:55 and rotate your tire size, This will in effect allow one to change their final gearing without permanently swapping their ring and pinion setup........ Do the math related to tire size and differential gearing, knowing that smaller tires turn faster....
4.10s are fine, especially if you plan to remain naturally aspirated. If you plan to add forced induction later, 3.73s would be my choice.
Very true! Adding boost you will want to get lower gear ratios. Good looking out
3.31s, all the cars making killer times have 3.31s, 3.73 is still too aggressive, you'll still melt your tires and lack that top end speed.
I have supercharged 5.4 with stock 3:73, I'm going to 4:11. But I have 9.75 not 8.8
I disagree. With a boosted 6 sp manual I had 3.55 and 20in tires. I was in each gear forever. Went to 4.09. Coyote engines are a high reving engine.
im boosted and want to run 410s with the Detroit rocker cams supercharger grind and shud be jus fine. least i hope lol
Great video. Going to be installing a pair of 4.10 gears on my Crown Victoria after watching this. Was originally going to select 3.73 but the moment I heard, "Go big or go home!", my mind was set! These gears will compliment the full exhaust I already have installed really well. Stay tuned on the project, I have a few videos already! Keep up the great videos Nate!
I am so happy that I was able to help. That is what I am here for. 4.10's are the way to go!
I was thinking the same thing. I have a 2006 lincoln town car. I have a jmod done and 2 1/2 inch piping from the cats going into a X pipe then out to a roush axle back exhaust. Also, 1 big thing that helps ALOT IS the jms pedalmax. That eliminated the drive by wire. When I first saw the reviews on CZcams I thought they were just over exaggerating.. but it's the best 250 bucks I spent on the car. Quick question 🤔 wht would you think would be better. A procharger or a edelbrock stage 1 supercharger? I was originally thinking the procharger but, ever race I see on CZcams procharger gets smoked by the twin screw supercharger. Any thoughts?
That’s crazy this is actually the next performance mod I was looking into doing for my s550, that and long tube headers
your vids are always awesome... keep up the great work.. love seeing your car it's set up nice can't wait to see some Dyno numbers
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it :) Yeah I will definitely dyno and show you all the numbers very soon
Enjoyed this! Have a 60,000 mile one owner 2006 s197.Added a Roush CAI and Extreme axle backs, and a Barton shifter as of now. These cars are crying for better rear gears,it seems to me.My Boss 302's and my Boss 351 years ago all had 3.91's in them, and to me that is the perfect street setup.I was away from this until last year when i retired, and i see that Ford doesn't make a 3.91 gear set,and the 390 gears available people say tend to whine. So,i guess it's going to be the 410's.Another thing i found out is that if you go higher than 3.73,you lose your cruise control.Mods for this year will hopefully be Detroit Rockers, and gears, with headers and mid pipe slated for next year...I hope!lol Thanks again, sir!!
I am so glad you enjoyed my videos! and yes 4.10's will be the answer for you! and you are lucky for cruise control because I don't have that on my mustang lol but hopefully you find the answer with those other upgrades haha good luck with your build!
Actually the 3:31 rear differential gears are stock for the S197 Mustang GT. A lot of dealers ordered the 3:55 gears for the best balance in power and miles per gallon and that is where people mistakenly say that the 3:55 gears are stock, I have 3:55 gears in my 2007 Mustang GT and regularly get 25-26 on the highway and 16 mpg in town, I live at 4,500 ft in altitude so the 3:55 gears are primo. I would only consider changing to the 3:73 gears because I’m getting ready to order the Roush supercharger.
I don't think you understand how excited you just got me, I didn't know there was 4.10 I thought there was only 3.73
When running these gears is your car screaming at freeway speeds, like 80 mph?
Yea but who cares? Don't be scared of rpms
@@xxxxxxxx183puts more wear on the engine and burns through gas
Your ‘08 is beautiful and she sounds amazing. If I can get my hands on an early 5th gen, I’m gonna build it to look like yours!
Always was confused about gear ratios. Thanks for the lesson!
That's why I am here! I'm glad I can bring that knowledge to you. I feel like a teacher now haahaha
I have a 94 GT, which is a 302 5.0, I have 170 Twisted wedge heads, 24 lbs injectors, calibrated MAF, T MOSS ported intake, and a simple E CAM. I believe with a tune i should be around 290-310 hp with around 320tq. at wheels. I only have the weak 2.73s car feels very slow. I have 4.10gears ready for install what can I expect?
are 1st and 2nd gear a waste now? i have currently have the 'unresponsive' 3.55s. thanks!
Hey, I daily a 2008 v6 mustang with a K/N CAI and aftermarket exhaust with a 93 Bama Tune... do you still recommend 4.10 or 3.73 gears?
Good video 👊 I got a 06 GT ,Saleen supercharged stock pulley 7.5 psi ,stock saleen intake ,cerviny side exhaust ,& 4:10 gears aswell just that on low boost puts out 450whp & 500+ crank I really recommend boost easy 150+ hp gain I will do pistons rods and turbo swap or maybe compound boost for a little it should be fun 😈 go for it boost !! 💪🐌
damn you are going all out haha thats gonna be a 10 second car right there!
Hey bro did the 4.10's make the clutch feel a little more touchy! My car stock is sometimes hard not to jerk around a little bit.
I did not notice any difference in the clutch. You should be fine
I have 373 in my 97 and it pulls like hell. Had 410s in my foxbody and was a bit much for daily driving unless your driving in town a lot.
Followers from Switzerland and I love your video. Thank you for all your advice please never stop ;-)
Sally is awesome!
Damn all the way across the world! That is so cool to see my subscribers and where they are from. I shall never stop! Thanks for the support
How do you know English if you're from Switzerland?
I read 4.10 plus gears are recommended for the auto 10 speed. I currently have a 2020 S550 base with 3.15 gears. I hate the pull. It lacks. I have Nitto 555 G2. 285x35xr20 rear 255 front. Can't wait to upgrade.
Without blower I see gears ranging up to 5.71...a lot of reviews for 4.10’s but I read 4.30 is even better but 4.56 and above being too much. I don’t race but I want a powerful feeling in my street car. 4.10 or 4.30 and why?
Love the video kid. For the tire selection, I have Nitto NT555, 275/40ZR18 103W, on all four corners. I've used them at the track and gripped pretty good. Here in NY, I don't drive my car in the snow and from sitting in the garage, I don't have dry rot, or flat spots on them. Had them for 4 years and they still look good.
Not sure what kind of gears I'll go with. I've thought about 3.73, but also 3.90. Has anyone else used 3.90's?
thanks man I appreciate it. I love the Nitto tires as well. I may slap them on in the future. and nno I haven't done any research on the 3.90
Can you swap from the original factory gears to 410 gears with a 2007 Ford Mustang V6? If you can is it true that swapping out to 410 will allow you to spin both tires instead of just one??
Well gears really only help if you’re lacking real hp/tq ! I’ve got a 03 Cobra and even with the 3.55 gears and 335 nittos on the back it’s a challenge to keep them from spinning the first 3 gears
whats the rpm to go 70 mph on the highway with 4.10? standard vs automatic
I'm a highschool student an i live in a rural area, so school is 30 mins away. what gear is the best for mpg without killing the top speed?
Do u need the full kit or can u just go with the 4.10 gears without the whole set and still feel the same experience
I pretty much had the same mods you do now before I upgraded my cams and intake. Before and even now I have found the best mod you can do is not your tires next but swap out your LCA and UCA. I went with steeda LCA non adjustable with the two different bushings and I went with the steeda UCA adjustable and it made a world of difference keeping things planted with 4.10s and your mods.
I actually just got some BRM LVA and UCA! They are coming in the mail soon. stay tuned for the video!
Do you remember how is driving in 4th gear with 4.10? Because if I install 4.10 I don't want to lose from top speed in 4the gear - I use often this gear on highway when I want to pass other cars (can I drive 140mph in 4th gear?)
Is this also usefull with the 2017 V6? Other advices for that version. I don't drive that fast but when i start i need to go. Thanks
I would recommend 3.73 for your type of mustang! That will make a huge difference
Love your work man!
I got the 3.73 gears in my AM cart right now along with a Bama Performance tune.
BBK cold air intake, Steeda Throttle Body, Screamin demon distributor, Taylor Wires, NGK iridium plugs, and Flowmaster American Thunder Muffler. Hope to get mine to Sally's level one day!
What numbers are you making? Have you dyno yet? Aye those mods sounds like a great setup for any mustangs. I used to have the flowmaster american thunder and boy did I love them so much!!!
Nate Rider I have not done a dyno yet, looking too soon for sure. Definitely would like to add some more mods before strapping her down. Yea dude! the flowmasters sound so nasty! But those Borla's, Nate, damn they sound beautiful!
Sweet let me know when you do! Yo I know! I am in love with flowmaster and Borla sounds. It is magestic
Nate Rider For real, man! Mustangs just sound glorious with the right pipes. Id love to cruise out to Cali and see Sally in person, let alone hear her! Tough when I'm all the way in CT. hope I get the chance.
I might be doing a meet and greet soon. So stay tuned for that. I would love to meet my subscribers!
Where did you get these installed? I've gotten quotes all around $500 for install only in socal
When I Eventually Get My 3Valve 05-09 GT definitely gonna have this mod 4.10 gears thats a fact.
Good vid. You did a good job explaining everything!
I gotchu Chris! Thanks for the feedback
Nice job on this video editing. Very watchable.
Do you need the whole kit to install the gears because I bought gears but not the whole kit from summit racing.
So what would be better for roll racing in an automatic 2014 gt
I should be buying an 08 v8 gt/cs mustang soon. Just found your channel the other day and I got hooked so I subscribed. Can’t wait to start modding my car, and down here in Florida we don’t have to worry about emissions.
thanks for the sub man it means a lot to me and congrats on your new ride when you get it! You will love the cali edition i promise
I've always been iffy on a 4.10 gear upgrade, but your video is really convincing me to get some 👀
I would go with 4.10's if I were you. They have so many good reviews with people that have them
How much will it affect my gas mileage since I mostly drive highways ?
So I want to start with performance mods, but I want to keep my car n/a, any suggestions on what to start with?
What did you use for the white letters on your tires. I want to do that to my 96 gt
I put 4:10s in my 02 GT and couldn't really tell a difference.
And it had 3.27s stock.
I'm thinking they never swapped the ring and pinion. It still tachs the same.
Thinking I got ripped off
There is no thinking to it, you was absolutely ripped off. Going from 3:27 to 4:10s is a big difference and you would be able to tell right away. There is NO WAY possible for 4:10s to feel like your 3:37s
Hey Nate Rider. What are the top speeds for each of your gears. I have an 08 GT with the 5spd but It may already had some stuff done to it when I bought it. My speeds are 1st-35, 2nd-62, 3rd-85, 4th-115, 5th-150+. I am just trying to figure out what I really have in there.
I really wish I can tell you my numbers, but I cannot say exact. I am hoping to dyno my car very soon to show you guys all the numbers that sally is pushing. Sorry! But stay tuned for that next video!
Nate Rider I still gotta get mine dynoed as well, but before that I still have to get my cams and longtubes put in. I bought the comp cams nsr stage 2 xfi if you're familiar with those. And with those 4.10s you got great acceleration but the only trade off it kills your top end. What I mean by that is that long 5th gear is going to kick in a lot sooner. You should make an acceleration video as well.
I ran 18x9 on front and 18x10 on rear in my 08 gt with 4.10s and gt500 rear dif, hooked up well.
Yeah I want to go with a staggard setup myself. I hope to have the same setup as you
I have late model restoration
SVE drift wheels gloss black. 19s by 9.5 all around, and nitto NT555 G2 285/35-19. Looks are good, but let me tell you, performance is superb.
2007 mustang GT procharged.
Good luck
WOW! You stang sounds like a BEAST! What a setup! Imma have to look up those gloss wheels! Thanks for the suggestions
Great video and easy to understand!
I am glad you liked my video :)
I live in southern cali, which shop did yor 4.10 dif gears.
what does your s197 top at now... mines need a tune up and stock besides manga flow after stock hipe... and mines top out around 136 for now
Whatcha mean top out? Like top speed? I am not sure the numbers. I wish I did tho. Hopefully I can find out and let you guys know exactly what those numbers are
Have 4:30's on my 3.7 there crazy fast, I put 10"tires and i still cant them to hook up even at half throttle.
Where in Cali are you from? I’m in LA. I’m getting 4-10’s on my SN95 very soon. Probably within the next week.
The gear ratio refers to the amount of teeth on the ring and pinion gears inside of the differential. While your explanation is true, it's not what the ratio actually refers to. Great video love the content.
Is there a lot of rear end noise from the 4.10s?
Sweet. Im going with 3:73's.
I had a 92 Stroker on 3:73's
just got Babyblu (2007 s197) Pypes H-pipe. gonna do the install myself. Love the vids.
ya the 3.73 will help with traction beeter than the 4.10 if you plan on making more power in the end
by boy has 4.10 in a Cobra and MAN what an amazing feeling
Aye 3.73 aren't bad at all! They are amazing too. I hope you install it the right way. I wish I knew how to install gears like you lol
Yeah imma need to do some upgrades on my suspension next lol
Receipt for domination right there! haha
Did you improved 0-60 and 1/4 times over stock?
Top speed is only lost because of the lack of gear to RPM. And MPG usually isn't affected that bad unless you forgot to calibrate your speedo to match the new differential ratio
How much winding sound did u get with the 4:10 gear swap?
Hey Nate Rider great video explaining gears, 4.10s are definitely on my list next. This weekend I installed my O/R H Pipe from Pypes and man does it sound amazing with the flow master axleback I already had on. I also put on a GT500 spoiler. I had a question though...when it comes to emissions I was planning on just throwing back on my stock h pipe to pass test then putting my O/R one again, what do you recommend ?
beautiful setup! I love what you have done to your mustang so far. Keep it up. And yes, that is what I always do for emissions. I just swap it right out and as soon as I get the pass I go right under to change back to my off road H pipe lol
Awesome man, you're a cool guy keep up with the videos😎 What short shifter do you got? I was thinking of a mgw, I have heard great things of them.
I don't have a short shifter... but I would go with Hurst shifter if I ever get one. Go check that out
Hey so I’m thinking about getting these, is the acceleration difference between stock and 4.10 really noticeable or just meh noticeable?
I know this is an old comment but trust me I've been in the mustang world for years and years, gears especially for an automatic is by far the best value mod you get besides maybe a tune. Just make sure you get it done it done at a good shop for a fair price and assuming it's a mustang make sure you use the Ford racing gears so it doesn't cause hear whine. Honestly gears, are going to have the best performance increase from anything except for Super/Turbo chargers or Nitrous nothing else will compare, still a great bang for the buck even with the mpg hit if you daily your mustang
@@timtresch4848 right on appreciate the comment👍 still have my 3v but haven’t done any gears due to it being my daily and commuting on the highway mainly
Can you please tell me how much they charged for labor just got my 4.10 for my 2v and I can't find less than 600 online people say shouldn't cost more than 400 and I think you should go gt500 reps or any multispoke compliments s197 imo
you should expect to pay anywhere between $300-$500 for the install. You just have to call around and get the best price
I’m in San Diego what mechanic did you use?
will they accelerate to 120 mph (200kph) faster than 3.31
Hey what’s up homie, damn first time seeing your videos, this gears video was fire 😮💨 understood everything, By the way I have a question, what would be better for a v6 2012, the 4.10 or 3.73 because my v6 is now running 2.73 gears stock
Great explanation bro
Nate, really appreciate the vids, starting going through them, I would like to know if you have a vid on simple bolt on powermods for a 05, 4.6 GT. I think I got the suspension most parts Koni shocks and SR-1 Kits and all that jazz. if you can let me know your thoughts or what videos i should search for. Thanks again bro. keep'em coming!
Are you reading my mind or are you a time traveler cause you are digging into my list of videos to come. Just wait on it ;)
Rgr that, I use to roll out of El Cajon and Spring Valley Yo! I'll be waiting Peace out!
17 Mustang GTCS 6R80 trans. It came with 3:55 rear end and it has ford performance pack 2 on it with Borla Atak catback. Don’t know how much power it make but it will pull on my brothers 17 2SS with headers and cai and is almost dead even with a stock 17 C7 from a roll. Thinking of doing 3:73 gears and headers next
Great videos by the way 👌
thanks brandon I really appreciate it
i have a mostly stock 3v and i want it to pull harder but i dont want to loose too much mpg. What rpm will it be at 80mph in 5th
I really wish someone responded to this
414 whp. 3.73 gears. Roush CAI. tuned by Levin Motorsports. 2015 GT
Does anyone know if this exact part would work in a 4.6 2v cougar?
Are these available for automatic or manual only?
does this reduce the life of this car someway? does it damage the car over the long term?
Nice move getting the gears! What camera and mic set up are you rocking?
Right now I have the DJI Osmo and the Rode microphone!
Nice video btw!
You deserve more subscribers!
Thank you so much! That really does mean a lot to me :)
I just got 4.10 for my mustang gt. I haven't installed them yet. What's the traction Difference between stock and 4.10? Should I get a good set of tires? I also do alot of highway driving.
traction is the same, but if you boost your car then you will need it. Highway mpg I get about 18mpg
Nate Rider right now I get about 20 mpg highway. 18 is not to bad for a v8. Idk if I will ever boost my mustang anytime soon, its very expensive.
Thanks for the response.
nice and nice car as I have a black 2007 ford mustang gt and have a 62mm throttle body and the same cold air intake as yours plus a 92 octane race tune from bama tunes as it pulls. I want to get the 4 10 gears next then the muther thumper cams then the long tube headers and cross pipes as my budget is limited and time it will take me but I love the difference so far
haha yeah its always tough choosing parts when they all cost so much plus a lot to install too. Make sure you grab the 4.10's tho! You will love them
I am looking Into buying a s197 like 06/07. Here they go for like 17.000 euros- 20.000 with about 80.000 km on the odometer.
What i am conserned about is People saying as soon as they hit 100k MILES = salvage. Makes no sense. A car should last 200k miles or so.
I need help with this statement, please.
these cars are lasting 250,000 and longer. Many people have told me their high mileage and tell me that the car runs like new. You should get a steal with a mustang with 100,000 miles. Its a good buy trust me
Over 240k miles on mine & running absolutely great. Makes me think low miles is overrated.
4:10 might be to low if you're running a 3 speed auto. What's the ratio output of the transmission? O.D.?
i have no clue lol sorry bout that
Getting my 4.10 gears installed today on my 03 mustang GT vert
IM THINKING OF HAVING MY 3.73 GEARS CHANGED IN MY STOCK 2016 GT 350 MUST. TO 4.09. LT STRIGGLES ON THE TAKEOFF. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS...THANKYOU.
for your 2016 I would recommend keeping the 3.73, don't upgrade to 4.10 just for your setup!
what is your reasoning?why-not? rhanks for your responce.
Do you guys recommend me a shift kit
Have 4.10s sitting on the bench bolted to the spool about to put them in once I get the housing painted ... but I might be putting 4.56s in
Danm you going really big! lol you race on the strip?
Nate Rider yeah it's not my daily driver anymore so it's more of a weekend car and track car
I have a 05 Legend Lime GT, current mods are: JLT CAI, Summit Racing Springs, Gt500 strut mounts, pypes off road x pipe with pypes mid muffler catback. Also have a bama 93 race tune and to make the shifts better I have a hurst competition plus shifter installed. Currently not dynoed yet. Currently have 3.55 gear. I would love to go 4.10s
You should name your mustang the DEMOLISHER because that's what it sounds like just reading what you got on your car. SO SICK!!! I really wanna get that short throw shifter. I love HURST so much
Trust me dude you will like that hurst. Cams, and headers are also on the list. You have a sweet ride man.
A lot of people say its notchy? Would you agree? I think I would still like it either ways. Thanks man I appreciate it :)
it's notchy buy i I love it :)
Fasho! I'm pretty sure I will like it to. Stay tuned for that short throw coming soon!
black bullitt motosport wheels...got them on my 07GT..best wheels for the 05-09 S197's
Sweet! Thank you so much! I will check those bad boys out!
You said the only bad side is the gas mileage but there is more wear and tear on the motor since it is spinning more revolutions per mile.
315 35 17 tires on 17x10 wheels would be great
That installed price wasn't bad $500-600. 4.30s on a DOHC motor is the ultimate, coupled with a T-56 that has a .50 6th gear.
Hey check out advanti racing Traktion or some rovos Durbans, I'm rocking the advanti but I love the rovos as well!
Fasho! I sure will. Thank you for the suggestions :)
I have black staggered fr500s 18x9 18x10 wrapped in HTRZs...love them and would look good on yours too...plus not many have fr500s...i have SR UDPS, Diablo 91 tune, UPR Off road xpipe, Hurst comp shifter, BBK CAI, PORTED POLISHED THROTTLE BODY and 4.10s on a shelf lol
I really want to go with the staggard style on my next setup. I thin it would look super sick! I will look those wheels! Thanks for the suggestion :) haha you needa put those 4.10's in! What is you doin?? lol I was wondering where you left off to. I haven't seen you in a while
Nate Rider lol just busy man, work work work lol and also catching up with subscribers
I feel you! Gotta get that mula! don't stop grindin lol hope you install it soon
I've got two Mustangs. A 94 LX with a 429cj and C6 trans and I run the 3.73 gear in it and it does great. And I also have a 2000 GT that has a 5 speed and a little tune up and 3.90 gear in it and it does great. Have no problem getting from point A to point B . Do not like the 4.10 gear. Had no luck with that gear.
Do they void warranty??
i love having the 4:10 gears. all the civic and 350z owners at my job cant touch my mustang on the road. i got the screaming yellow 2006 gt with comp cam mutha thumpers, brute force cai, hurst shifter, bama tuned, ford racing throttle body, and pypes x off road and tips. check out my video on my stang and lemme know what ya think. i love ur mustang!
Why is your gt only making 340hp isnt the gt making 435 stock?
You should get the AMR gloss black rims, or the the MMD 551C's (5 Spoke) !
AMR's seem to be the hit in the comments! I will definitely check those babies out!
How much do you think you shaved off your 0-60 time with the 4.10s?
I am not sure about the exact numbers, but if I would take a guess I would say about .5 seconds, which is a huge increase
Someday when i have $$$ , I'll get the 3.73 for my S550 gt.
go for it!
What RPM are you at when you go 80 MPH with the 4.10s?
mods--
BBK Longtube headers
offroad xpipe
Dynomax Race Bullet mufflers
Airaid CAI
Bama custom tune
18x10.5/18x9 TSW Rouen rims w 285/35/18r Sumitomo p3's
2010 gt
I am about 3,000 RPM's when I am going 80 mph. DAMNNN BOY! I like your setup! I really want those long tube headers! They put out so many gains
Nate Rider love the videos man, you have a great style and format! Informative and great presentation, well done! Looking forward to more, subscribed! Following up on the comment above, is highway driving annoying with RPMs at 3,000 around 80mph? Also, is first gear too short? I am so torn between 3.73s and 4.10s. 2007 GT vert, 5-spd, CAI, Catback, BAMA tune and various suspension mods. Thanks for your thoughts!
I am so happy you enjoy my videos. Im posting one this wednesday! Nah it actually sounds very nice since the engine is working harder, but it does burn a lot more gas hahah yeah throws are shorter for increased of torque. I love them go for 4.10
It does not appear that you have modded to a one piece aluminum drive shaft yet? This is an easy install that you can do yourself. The stock 2 piece steel shaft is over 40lbs. The one piece aluminum is like 20lbs so you have less rotating mass which transfers the power to your wheels faster. With the aluminum shaft you will increase acceleration times and especially coupled with the 4.10 gears. Research the aluminum shaft. I highly recommend that mod. Also, the aluminum shaft is stronger than the steel shaft. You also don't have to worry about having the carrier bearing failing, a notorious issue for 2-piece driveshafts.
Oh trust me I have been wanting the one piece drive shaft for the longest time lol but the price isn't too appealing to me. Imma have to save up for that one lol thanks for the advice tho imma do more research on it
@@NateRider dude I don't understand I have a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis
I see your SDSU bag at 1:55. I went there.
I would recommend getting some Rohana RC10 wheels man, they would look incredible on your mustang. either some blacked out ones, or some chrome would look really nice.
Never heard of those, but now I have and I will check them out! Thank you so much for your suggestion. :)
Thanks for sharing, I was wondering either 3,73 or 4.10 I have a 88 GT mustang 5 sod. So I didn't know about top speed on the highway. Anyway Thanks brother.
Mustang Marty I have an 89 GT so let me know what gear you chose, I’m debating 3.73 and 4.10
What did yall decide on the fox? I'm getting 4.10 on my 89 5 speed
