Thanks Alan, we are looking at getting one of these, and you did a great job explaining loads about this.

Great tutorial, we have the Kubota M5640SU 4x4, and have always wanted a grappler. Our 24 acres has a lot of trees, picking up after the wind and rain comes through, seems like a full time job.

Alan: quick question for you. I’ve got a Kubota with a LA1065 loader - has about a 2,200 lb. lift capacity. I had an EA grapple ordered, but alas, they’ve gone out of business & I don’t have the grapple. When I bought my Kubota, the dealer offered me an Armstrong grapple, but it weighed 770lbs. vs about 350 lbs. for the EA grapple. Do you think 770 lbs. is too much weight for my loader-in other words, is there enough lift capacity remaining do get any serious work done? What’s the lift capacity on your loader-I know you said the grapple was about 800 lbs.
