  • **Please note, I no longer use and cannot recommend Dixie Belle Paint products due to highly questionable business practices, contract violations, and unethical treatment of artists and retailers that led to mine and numerous others resignations in late 2021. Please see the links below for more information. I have chosen to leave this video content up for learning purposes only, but highly recommend considering other products when trying to achieve these same techniques. There are too many good product brands on the market to support a brand with these practices. I've included links to my most used options below

    I'm trying to wrap my head around the ratio of white lighting we need to use. 2 heaping tablespoons per gallon... So when you mix up 1 tablespoon are you filling up two 32 oz spray bottles?

    Hi... watching your videos! So helpful. I’m a beginner. Do I sand then use white lighting or clean with WL then sand? Do I ever use a tack cloth in the prep? Thanks!!!!

      I clean then scuff sand. Scuffing a dirty surface can grind oils deeper into wood. I usually use a damp rag to tack off, tack clothes can sometimes leave sticky on surface, but that's personal preference

    Hi Brandy, So clean, the scuff to the raw wood or just enough to rough it up for primer? Clean again before primer?

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  Před rokem

      You only need to scuff if lts a glossy or slick finish, otherwise can just clean and prime

    I know this is an old video but how long do you let your piece dry before doing any next steps? Like sanding or priming?
