Thicken and wider weak-sounding vocals in these 3 simple steps. They will sound richer, thicker and WAY more powerful! #shorts #mixingvocals #abletonlive
What is a glue compressor? and why can I be extreme with the settings? Glue as I know it, is an industry term used to describe a mixing technique where the sounds of a mix blend together as if you are gluing them together. Different types of compressors (fet, optical, etc.) may be better at gluing than others, so what makes a compressor a glue compressor for you? and what about the concept of gluing sounds together allows me to go overboard with it? I find that too much glue, can lead to a reduction in stereo width. Going overboard here seems like a loaded suggestion. Wouldn't a vocal doubler be a great option for a quick thickening and widening option? Especially when going overboard will result in a wider and thicker vocal not a narrower one. There's a free one on izotope's website right below the free Ozone imager you used. That doubler is amazing on vocals, and I feel would provide a far more natural sound then the after in your video.
Oh god I’ve been using Ableton for years and have depended on Little Alter Boy fir my formant shifting- not realizing you can actually do it within Ableton. Silly me
@@EDMTips kick patterns 😁. I’ve been experimenting a bit with them and would be great to hear how you approach. A simple element but can completely change the vibe 😁.
Never in my life I want my vocal sound like that
Thanks for the feedback!
once i said that to my friend, he laughed to mee like a crazy person :D
😂😂
Ok for the odd phrase to add 'ear candy' but certainly not the whole vocal.
The Shorts are a very good idea Will! Keep up the good work! 🙏
Thank you, Angelo, I am hoping the shorts will be interesting enough for people for me to continue this :)
Keep the shorts coming, sir!

Where did you get this vocal? It sounds so good. Do you have any suggestions on getting lyrics? I don't have Splice or Loop Cloud.

Name of song
better watch put when spreading too much, cause you'll run into some phase issues
YAAK
How to get from ok to shit ... great JOB
Really, that after was an odd choice.
It sounded muddy ,
Yuck.
Have the artist sing the lower octave instead of the robot, singers like Madonna or Tatiana Shmayluk do that all the time.
most producers dont have access to madonna or any other singer.
Oh hell nah 😂
Cheers for the feedback!
This sonunds wrong
Who is sonunds?
